The Chapter House is a spacious and quirky Grade II listed cottage nestled in the heart of Whitby. This central location is ideal for families and friends to use as a base to explore all that Whitby has to offer. The house started life in 1891 as a church Vestry and retains much of its original character. Please note, the church which it was part of is now a cafe and music venue. Chapel Cottage is a charming, pet friendly, 18th century cottage. It sleeps 4. A short and easy walk from Robin Hood’s Bay, convenient for anywhere locally. Difficult to believe that Chapel Cottage was part of the former Methodist Chapel in the village (at least until 1900). John Wesley was reputed to have preached here in the 1790’s. A strenuous 54 paces to the village Pub and shop (depending on your leg length), its still only less than 10 minutes to the top of Robin Hood’s Bay, bank.
