Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Funny River

Love this little place. Lots of amenities, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the fish cleaning tent & outdoor freezer were impressive. Love the little fire pit outside as well. Everything was super clean and Megan is always super responsive. Thanks again for a great stay

We stayed here for a friends wedding. It was incredibly convenient and was a lovely place to stay in soldotna.

We booked Kimberly's place a bit last minute for an overnight visit to Kenai. We were down for a couple baseball games so had 3 adults and 6 teens staying. This house is on the smaller side (clearly communicated in the ad of course) but still fit all of us perfectly for the night. The loft is plenty big enough for 4 and the couches open up to nice sized beds. The outdoor area had great space and even a couple tables so we could eat outside in the nice weather. Great big TV and wonderful wifi service. All the kitchen amenities you could need along with coffee which was REALLY appreciated. We were not there long enough to enjoy the fresh eggs left for us but thought that was a very nice touch. All in all we would rent here again and recommend to friends.

This was our second stay and that says it all. While its just the two of us and we don't need two bedrooms, we stay here anyway. Carl was in touch with the checkin details and from there it was like coming home. There is everything you need for a short or long stay, a friendly new puppy to greet you and a beautiful view. It is removed from the hustle and bustle of "downtown" but an easy drive. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Since we have family in Soldotna, we will be back and hope that we can always stay here!

We loved our stay here - the space was so clean, cute, and cozy. I especially loved the drink holder in the arm of the couch, and the little coffee station! It was so nice to have a fenced space for our dogs, and an easy- to -find outdoor trash to take care of what dogs leave behind :)

This is our second time staying at this property. It is always clean, and the hosts are helpful and friendly. We hope to be back next year!

This was our 4th year in a row staying at Adela’s. It’s definitely one of our favorite places to stay at. We commonly see moose when staying there but this year not only did we see 3 moose but were also visited by 4 caribou! Thanks again, Adela, and hope to be back next year!

Melyssa’s home was perfect for our stay. It was clean, comfortable, conveniently located and had all the amenities you could ever want while traveling. Melyssa was great to work with throughout our entire experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone.

Maggie is a wonderful host. The apartment is immaculate, and has wonderful extra touches. The lighting is amazing, and everything you need is there!

Clean and new place that looked just like the photos. Well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Appreciated the extras like a garage door opener and spare blankets and towels. Would definitely stay here again!

CarlieAnn’s place was perfect for my trip with my dad and brother! We had a fishing expedition in Kenai about 20 mins away, and a wildlife tour in Seward which was about a 2 hour drive but so scenic and beautiful! Not a lot of options for food or activities in the area if it rains, but the home was comfortable and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Alaska!

Didn’t have a pen on hand to write in the book, the place felt exactly like home, the view in the kitchen was beautiful!, the shower/tub was definitely wonderful after long walking! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again! Also the hosts are super friendly and respond fast!

Perfectly located beautiful stay communication was very easy.

It worked out fine for our needs for last-minute fishing trip during peak season. It was very basic with a bathroom, comfortable beds refrigerator, heat and a TV (was not used). Host was extremely accommodating and very passionate about getting people out on the river fishing. You do need to use bottled water for drinking and making coffee, as it is pretty metallic like a lot of Alaska water. You come here expecting exactly what you see. Book your fishing trip with scout lake adventures.

All expectations met. the unit was clean, adequately equipped, private-ish, and peaceful. The river view from the deck is really wonderful. The property is very well kept, and the large lawn was perfect for playing catch and tag with our 8-yo grandson, who was staying with us. only a 20-minute walk to Safeway and Sportsman's Warehouse. Lots of fishing access within an easy drive for both the Kenai and Kasilof. Also lots of lakes. We loved the Kasilof for all the eagles, but didn't catch many fish there. It was pretty early in the season. We would definitely stay here again.

Colleen was an amazing hostess and I believe it was either a nephew or son-in-law Don, who was also very, very friendly and helpful, especially when I needed a vacuum he offered his shop vac with extension cord. Colleen was an amazing hostess, very responsive and accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend their lovely home a little off the beaten track but quiet and nice. I would love to come back in the future. One minor issue is the Wi-Fi is not reliable. Just to get reliable Wi-Fi we ended up going to McDonald’s, Starbucks, and the Safeway since my daughter was taking a class and needed Wi-Fi at least during the day.

Robb’s roost is in Kenai which is the Capitol for sockeye salmon fishing. This time of year it was boiling with fish everywhere. Came in to support our 21 year old son who was playing for the Penisula Oilers collegiate summer baseball team as part of the Alaskan College Baseball League ABL Robb is a great communicator. Some of the most beautiful day trips where I saw things that take your breathe away, bears, schools of fish, moose, Bald Eagles. The glaciers, snow caps and wooded forest are truly spectacular Gods blessings Craig Johns

Michael was super accommodating and a great guide to my dad and his friends that were wanting to go to Alaska for fishing! He was very friendly and very communicative. This area had a beautiful river nearby and they were able to enjoy it every second of their stay! Would recommend this place and specially this host! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
