Bettei Yamashiro【JPY modern style/3 cars/WiFi】

ThomasRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed the house itself, as it was so very comfortable and perfectly located, but also the local restaurants. There is a great yakitori place called Iburu very close to the house, which I highly recommend. It was a little pricey but some of the best grilled chicken I’ve ever tasted. Also, a new coffee shop called Pinecone was a really nice discovery. They don’t open till noon, but the young owner is a fluent English speaker who loves to chat with the customers. He also sells a selection of craft beers (in cans) from around Japan. We bought those to take home and enjoyed drinking them at the house in the evening. A lovely 125 year old Japanese sweet shop is close by, too. And the hot springs! Finally, on our way home back to Shiga, we stopped at a little place called Ippei Sushi. The best sushi I’ve ever had. ¥2,200 for a lunch set fit for a king. You should get there before 11! All in all it was a spectacular holiday. We look forward to going again next year.

They always responded politely and were very helpful during my stay. The facilities were beautiful and easy to use, and they took measures against insects in advance, so there was no particular trouble. The view was beautiful and overall very good.

Definitely one of the best airbnb I stayed in ! Traditional, clean, roomy, well located. I would definitely come back as soon as I will be around. Nagahama is a great city and deserves a few days on site. I cannot think of a better place than Masahiro’s to stay and enjoy a slower pace.

Private house rentals/Healing Japanese space with a large garden and bungalow/Relaxing living room with high ceilings overlooking greenery

ままりRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I stayed with my one-year-old child this time.We had amenities like a welcome baby inn (children's chairs, hand wipes, butt wipes, diaper changing sheets, diaper trash cans, etc.), and we had a comfortable stay even with babies. The inn was decorated with a living room, tea room, and nice furnishings that felt the owner's dedication, and it had a very good atmosphere with a luxurious feel. The garden was very spacious, and it was a luxurious space where you can taste the extraordinary feeling when you open the window. If I ever go to Fukui again, I'd love to stay there.

A traditional Japanese style house for one group

JunkoRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Two families visited as a place to stay while skiing at Jam Katsuyama, and Chiz was very polite and welcoming. It was a snowy day, so the children played in the snow from morning. There are also decorations at the entrance, and the traditional Japanese house is carefully used. On the other hand, the bath and water areas were renovated with the latest equipment, and the futons were very clean and comfortable. I think people from overseas will also be happy because they can experience traditional Japanese housing.

We had a very pleasant stay at hide's lovely place. He kept the house very clean and the surroundings was very quite. We are very grateful to hide's friendlies. We arrived a little late and thank to hide's offer of the delicious fukui rice, we didn't have to starve. it's a pity we didn't have the chance to walk his dog as it was a rainy day the morning we departed. We will definitely go back when we would visit Fukui next time. Just for the information to people travelling in group, there might be a little inconvenient as the shared bathroom and toilet is technically attached to the bedroom on the first floor. Also, the kitchen might be a little too low for people who are tall.

Our stay here was a much needed respite during our busy trip in Japan. We had more space to relax and a quiet neighborhood around us. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet base to get into Nagoya or the surrounding areas.

Taro & Haruka were extremely friendly and helpful. We encountered an issue with the laundromat where our clothes were stuck in the dryer and they very kindly helped to liaise with the owner to help resolve the issue, when they didn’t have to. Their place was also clean and we had a very comfortable stay. Wished we had stayed a few more days!

Tatami Floored Room for Two

JessicaRating, 5 stars56 months ago
This house had a very friendly vibe. The host was really jovial and there were lots of community spaces. The host actually really went out of his way, picking my husband up from another station when he missed the last train and providing us with some snacks that he had made himself. Thank you so much!! Located nearby is the very beautiful Lake Biwa- the beach close to this house was quiet, peaceful, and serene. There were also a few delicious restaurants around- we recommend the risotto at Coco's and the pizza at Pizzeria Marino!

Male and Female Mixed Dormitory (Bunkbed)/Mix dormitory/Hostel291 ③

寿之Rating, 5 stars1 day ago
Four-story building. In the same room as three people who love to cook.We had a good time.Downstairs, there was an English teacher foreigner who teaches in Japan and spent a few hours talking. The next morning, we had yoga from 9 o'clock.I was able to experience it during my trip and relax my body, which was nice. There was a supermarket by the house, and it was easy to shop for food. After leaving the inn, I went to Sabae. There was a festival in a large park, and I looked around and looked at various things. When you get off the station, Fukui Prefecture is difficult to understand, many people calculate change, and even those who are accustomed to traveling in Japan may be a little surprised.Maybe it's been a year since the Shinkansen opened, so it may still take some time to get things right. Fukui Prefecture has a high happiness index and the proportion of people who become managers. This time it was one night and two days, but if you stay for a long time, you will find a lot.

4 people to compete in the Gifu marathon. There was plenty of parking space to move the car, which was helpful. There was also a projector in the room and around the water that was clean, easy to use, and connected to wifi, so everyone was able to relax and eat.It was large enough for 4 people. Also, the mattress was very comfortable, so the next day's marathon ran comfortably.

The host went above and beyond what I had expected in hosting my family and I! Enjoyed my stay at Fukui and was worry free about the accommodation as the host was very friendly and clear with the instructions. English labels were present throughout the house and made the stay easier on us as non Japanese speaking travellers.
