古民家 マロン(MARRON)Japanese country house
There are two rooms, both Japanese-style rooms with a view of the garden. Typical old house in the Hokuriku region. It also snows in the winter. Please check the recent photos. It is decorated with many Japanese paper dolls familiar with Japanese culture. Soto-sect Sedaiji Temple is a 15-minute drive away, and the Dinosaur Museum is 25 minutes away. It is less than 20 minutes across the tunnel (national highway) to the tourist destination of Yamashiro Onsen in Ishikawa Prefecture. There is a university hospital, a large prefectural botanical garden, 3 supermarkets, and 1 coin laundry within walking distance, making it convenient for short-stay. Free shuttle service to the nearest station. ex. Fukui Sta. When I was in my twenties, I was kindly hosted by families in Lureo, Helsinki, Oslo, and Dusseldorf, and I remember being very impressed because it was my first time in Europe. It was around the time the Osaka Expo ended in 1970. And today, their kindness is the biggest reason they became private lodging hosts. The nearby Katsuyama Dinosaur Museum has been scaled up and will reopen on July 14th. It has been closed for a long time, so there will be a limit on the number of people who can make a reservation from the day it reopens. Please be aware. (2023/05/05) It is a very unique museum in Japan, so please let the children see and imagine.

Honyaranoye ~ Stay in a 100-year-old traditional house ~ Traditional House
Honeyara Noie is a guest house that takes advantage of a 110-year-old traditional house. It is not a service like an inn or hotel. It is the home of the host couple, and guests will have a stay where they can experience living in that home. The fee you pay is for accommodation only, but because we value interaction, dinner is always an additional cost. Please pay 1,500 yen on site. Breakfast is optional and costs 500 yen. Home cooking centered on local ingredients. Dinner is usually around 7 pm, when the host and all guests gather around the table. I think it would be nice if you could go to a nearby hot spring before dinner. (500 yen extra) The rooms are separated by shoji screens and fusuma, and conversations are generally private. We may also hold events, which may be noisy at times. During busy periods, we may ask you to stay in separate rooms for men and women. (No change in price) It is hot in summer and cold in winter due to the structure. There is no air conditioning. If you'd like to experience the "inconvenient" life of an old house, come and visit! A new family has arrived since February 2023. They are Ume and Ryu, brother and sister cats. They are very friendly, so please play with them!

Sasae Farmhouse / Farm and horse riding experience / Enjoy a relaxing time with ponies, goats and chickens.
This inn is located in the middle of Mt. Hatago, overlooking the cityscape of Tsuruga City, and offers a limited one-day agricultural and horseback riding experience. Freshly laid eggs are harvested and breakfast is served at the farm cafe with rice cooked in a kamado or an omelet made by the host. We renovated the old house to make it even more comfortable while retaining the good qualities of a Japanese house, such as the Japanese-style room and veranda. We run a farm that practices animal welfare, which is rare in the country. Spend a relaxing time on a nature-rich farm with pony riding (for junior high school students and younger), walking, and interacting with animals (chickens, goats, ponies).
