Our vacation apartment THE APARTMENT Without Benedikt Kappenstein, Hof Erlenbruch would not exist in its current form. The guest room in the old haystack was awakened from its slumber and, after more than a year of renovation, was transformed by hand into a vacation home/apartment. The character of the old haystack was partially retained. Thus a piece of luxury was created in the Wildenburger Land on Hof Erlenbruch away from the urban hustle and bustle. The only people who live on Hof Erlenbruch are Benedikt Kappenstein, who manages the farm, his life partner Michael Noiron and their son. There are no cars around the farm and no traffic noise, as the access road ends in the courtyard. There is no Internet connection, as this cannot be provided by the providers and even cell phone reception is not possible on every corner. There is no everyday stress and no noise here. Here you only hear the rustling and cracking of the trees when the wind blows and the occasional howling of a fox. Here you can determine your daily rhythm in harmony with nature. Simply let yourself be carried away into the boundless forest landscapes of mountain and valley of the Wildenburger Land and discover our historic landscapes. Enjoy the tranquility and comfort of our apartment, which invites you to relax. The nearest neighbors are about 800 meters away, here you will experience pure secluded idyll! And if you should be drawn to more populated areas, you can cycle directly out of the courtyard exit and reach the nearest main road after just 2.6 km. A unique mixture of rustic farm and classics in a modern style await our guests in our newly designed apartment. An impressive mix with stylish interiors, modern design and traditional materials, which Benedikt Kappenstein and Michael Noiron have adapted to the style. A copper-colored bathtub next to the Jailhouse Bed by Noodles Noodles on the gallery, cozy wooden elements, fireplace and a completely new interior ensure the perfect feel-good atmosphere. Through the large windows you have a view of the surrounding landscape and our alpacas. The bathroom was also completely renovated in 2017 and remains true to the style of the apartment with a mixture of classics and wooden elements. A small kitchenette allows you to cater for yourself if you do not want to visit one of the culinary restaurants in the area. BOOKING You have the option to book the apartment for two or a maximum of four people. On the gallery there is a bed for two people. Below is the distinctive Moule sofa, with a transformation comfort with rotating seats and flexible backrests, which can not only be used as a seat and relaxation furniture, but can also be transformed into a comfortable double bed in a few simple steps.

Apartment with a view of nature

Your holiday starts right away in the new, stylishly and comfortably furnished apartment. Located in a quiet residential area, right next to the Rothaarsteig, you can start hiking and cycling tours straight away. The apartment has one bedroom, guest rooms for two additional guests, a large bathroom with a bathtub, a guest toilet with a shower, a living/dining room (with a wood-burning stove) and a southwest-facing balcony. You can barbecue and enjoy the sun on the large southeast terrace. The kitchen is comfortably furnished.

Cottage Johannesberg, Landsitz

The Johannesberg cottage is located in the middle of the forest, next to a pasture. A retreat for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The outdoor area offers additional space for relaxation: in the open-air hot tub, in the sauna, or during a cozy barbecue evening. The house can accommodate up to 12 people. In addition to two bedrooms on the ground floor, there are three further bedrooms and common rooms, a kitchen, bathroom, and two WCs on the upper floor.

Surrounded by trusting sheep, our circus wagon stands under a roof of maple trees. An exceptional place to stay with panoramic views for 1–2 adults. Sheep cuddling included! If you want to hike, cycle or slow down, you are in the right place in Windecker Ländchen. The circus trailer is located on a separate property behind our house on our sheep pasture. Private access & parking available. Every 30 minutes S-Bahn connection to Cologne (1 hour to the Koelnmesse).

Gästehaus Bähner

Built in 1963 by my grandparents, we have revived the old part of the bungalow in the charm of the 60s and converted it into a spacious guest house for 2-3 people. Situated directly on the edge of the forest, this is the perfect starting point for hikes in the beautiful Siegerland, for excursions in the region, e.g. e.g. to Freudenberg, Siegen or Biggesee. But it is just as perfect for a break from everyday life, for rest and relaxation. Welcome to Föschbe!

Small cottage with distant views of the Oberbergisches Land

Here you can stay in a small detached house with 1000 sqm fenced property and distant views over the Ober-Bergisches Land. The cottage is furnished in vintage style and has a fireplace in addition to electric heating. A kitchen newly built in 2022 with fridge, dishwasher, induction, oven, and everything else you might need, outdoor grill, covered terrace. Towels and bowls are available for dogs. Hiking from the house is possible for hours.

Cozy mobile home in nature

Relax in this special and quiet space. In our small mobile home, you have your peace and seclusion. It is located near our farm, the bathroom is on the courtyard grounds (about 80m away). We offer three caravan parking spaces for overnight stays. If there are campers, they will also use the bathroom. Only for guests who love nature and a camping atmosphere! You are welcome to bring your dog and/or horse. The open stable is next door.

Dream house in the Bergisches Land

Our house is on the edge of the village, surrounded by old trees with a large garden. It is only 45 minutes away from Cologne. It offers enchanting, stylishly furnished rooms, wonderful niches and retreats. You can linger and relax in the garden and in the forest. We are surrounded by wonderful nature and enchanting villages. Our house is also ideal for day workshops and offsite meetings. Projector, screen and flipchart are available.

Our house is a real gem in the old building style, which we have renovated with a lot of love. Old wooden beams, charming plank floors and yet everything you need to feel really comfortable – that's exactly what we have in mind for you. You will find the perfect mix of tradition and modern comfort here. Pure nature right outside the door. If you like to be outdoors, you'll love it here. Furry friends are also very welcome with us!

Nestled in nature and equipped with a breathtaking lake view, this penthouse allows you to escape everyday life. Hike in the forest or by the lake and enjoy a bike ride with our e-bikes. When it's cool, warm up in the sauna or heated pool before settling in with a glass of red wine by the fireplace. In the warm season, enjoy a swim in the pool or in the crystal clear lake. Sun loungers, a SuP and a kayak are available there.
