The welcome by Jean-Marc and Sylvie was very warm and hospitable. The house is completely free on a dead end road, so you have all the privacy. Behind the house is a lovely sunbathing area with sunbeds around the pool, which is kept clean daily by Jean-Marc. A kilometer or two away is the beautiful town of Villefranche du Perigord, where there are two neighborhood tops, a bakery and a few great restaurants. The house itself is incredibly old (in the sense of authentic) and cozy and cozily furnished. In addition, it has all the comforts. In front of the house is a covered terrace where you can sit dry even in the rain, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. In the area there are many beautiful towns, castles and other sights to see and there are hiking opportunities everywhere. In short, this house is highly recommended

Highly deserved 5 stars. Thanks again to Audrey and Christophe for their hospitality and kindness. They are very discreet hosts. Regarding the accommodation, there are all the ingredients together to have a good stay. An enchanting setting, clean, modern and well-equipped accommodation, not forgetting the private spa and shared pool that I was lucky enough to have all to myself. Perfect for a stay as a couple or solo to recharge your batteries. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous gite in a gorgeous setting.

Pool is about 8m long & 1.25m deep and was perfect for us in the warm weather, while the stone building keeps cool during the day. Secluded rear courtyard with umbrella is nice for outdoor meals. 10 minutes drive to the nearest town, so a car is essential. One (nice) restaurant within walking distance.

A lovely villa located in a peaceful and private location. Like most of this area, a car is essential but you can spend long lazy days here is comfort. The local contact was Stephane who was excellent throughout. Overall, a lovely family focused villa with a great pool and outdoor areas.

I really can’t recommend Philippe and Alain’s place enough and our stay was delightful from start to finish. Not only is the property set in beautiful surroundings but the accommodation itself is lovely; full of character and is charming and spacious for a couple. The hosts themselves are also delightful. Philippe was exceptionally helpful throughout the process and extremely responsive, answering our questions and helping us when we were looking to book a local taxi at short notice. He made the effort to meet us when we arrived and spoke to us regularly during our stay; always kind, polite and friendly. Thank you for a fantastic stay guys!

Beautiful house, very well equipped, very clean and quiet. Nothing is missing. Small pool, very nice in hot weather. This one is heated. Very nice decoration. Ideally located to visit the Black Périgord. Very close to Beynac. Many sites within 20 minutes' drive. The Dordogne is very close (10 min walk) with the possibility of canoeing. Margot welcomed us with kindness. Very available while remaining discreet. We recommend this property.

Beautiful and spacious home in quiet village. Le Centenaire restaurant was walkable and provided good food and drink. Loved the farmhouse table in the kitchen and we spent many meals there or on the deck table. Many hot air balloons over the deck in the evenings. Kitchen was very well stocked for in home food preparation. Beds very comfortable. Very clean and well appointed.

An interesting layout for a beautiful cottage, it takes a bit to get used to it, amazing views, at the edge of the forest and the village. We had a wonderful time with our friends, lots of activities to do in the area and many places to visit. Thank you for you hospitality, Lumi & Liviu

We had a great time at this place. Everything was as described: clean and very comfortable. The environment is pleasant and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The host was very responsive and thoughtful, which made our experience even more enjoyable. We recommend it without hesitation!

Beautiful place! Total change of scenery in these buildings full of history and tastefully furnished. The terrace offers a very nice view of the lovely village. Raphaël and Monique are also very welcoming. As you can see, we recommend :)

Great modern house with all the comforts. It seemed difficult to find in advance, but was very easy to find afterwards. Pool not used (too cold). The host had prepared delicious breakfast and dinner (for a fee). The horses in the meadow around the house as well as the tranquility and the view the valley in amazing. Everything fenced for the dog. Sitting outside under the canopy with a blanket with welcome drink and snack :D We have plans to go in November instead of 2 nights, a week...

Listing complies in every way with the description! The setting is ideal, in the middle of nature and quiet. Anaïs is very responsive to requests. Came with 4 friends for an EVG, we highly recommend his property.

Nathalie and Tim were such extraordinary hosts! My family and I had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home! The house itself is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. We were able to enjoy the wonderful gardens and the pool all day and watch the sunset from our patio each evening. Such a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was how well taken care of we felt all week. Nathalie helped organize a tour of local vineyards, scheduled a wine tasting by the pool, and cooked dinner for us all on 2 evenings. She also had great local restaurant and market recommendations! We also loved our morning chocolatines and croissants! They were extremely kind and accommodating throughout the trip - delivering bottles of wine when we ran short, lending us a pot so that we could cook a big stew one night, and even working a miracle helping me removing a grenadine stain from a white dress I bought at a local market. I can’t recommend this wonderful home enough!

We had a fantastic time in this spacious and cozy farmhouse. A great location, wonderfully quiet and beautifully situated. Enjoy the birds and butterflies in the large garden. Really an ideal place to relax and unwind. We were warmly welcomed by Anne, a very nice and friendly hostess. You feel more than welcome here. If it's up to us, we'd love to come back.

The AirBnB is situated above La Roque-Gageac with a breathtaking view of the valley across to Domme. The interior of the house is lovely and very well stocked / furnished. Whilst you do need a car or bike to access the surrounding area, this is the case generally for the region, and the house is actually perfectly located right in the heart of a cluster of interesting places to visit, all within 10-20 min drive. Eve lives in the main house next door and is a lovely host. She was extremely helpful, and we felt as though the AirBnB space was private and our own. The pool was particularly welcome after a hot day. We would recommend lunches at Jardin de Marqueyssac and Les Courtines; and dinner at Lou Toupi (all very nearby). In terms of day trips, Domme, Beynac and Castelnaud are within easy reach. We will definitely be staying again.

We had a wonderful stay at Geert and Marga's beautiful home. The house and its surroundings are stunning, and we couldn't have asked for more in terms of amenities. The house has plenty of absolutely everything you could possibly need and we felt right at home straight away. Geert and Marga's place is perfectly located in the region, and we very easily visited many of the beautiful surrounding towns and villages. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again sometime. We would recommend Geert and Marga's home to anyone looking for a well equipped, beautiful and peaceful vacation. We had a wonderful stay in this accommodation, a charming little stone cottage in the countryside, it was exactly what we dreamed of for this holiday! Small view of the sheep park, the sounds of nature, the calm, sheltered terrace under the flowers, everything was perfect. Christine was a very welcoming and discreet host while remaining nearby. Special mention for Pupuce the house cat who knew how to soften us!!
