Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Frayssinet-le-Gélat

An interesting layout for a beautiful cottage, it takes a bit to get used to it, amazing views, at the edge of the forest and the village. We had a wonderful time with our friends, lots of activities to do in the area and many places to visit. Thank you for you hospitality, Lumi & Liviu

We had an utterly fabulous week at Magalie's lovely gite. Very tranquil settings, just the sounds of the birds and peace and quiet. The grounds were beautiful tended and the gite was immaculate and very well set out and equiped. The beds were memory foam I think and very comfortable and lots of hot water. Important things i think when looking for reviews. It rained most days but the heating was on and very comfortable. ,Magalie and her husband were very helpful and lovely hosts. We will book again xx

The welcome by Jean-Marc and Sylvie was very warm and hospitable. The house is completely free on a dead end road, so you have all the privacy. Behind the house is a lovely sunbathing area with sunbeds around the pool, which is kept clean daily by Jean-Marc. A kilometer or two away is the beautiful town of Villefranche du Perigord, where there are two neighborhood tops, a bakery and a few great restaurants. The house itself is incredibly old (in the sense of authentic) and cozy and cozily furnished. In addition, it has all the comforts. In front of the house is a covered terrace where you can sit dry even in the rain, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. In the area there are many beautiful towns, castles and other sights to see and there are hiking opportunities everywhere. In short, this house is highly recommended

Nathalie and Tim were such extraordinary hosts! My family and I had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home! The house itself is perfect for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. We were able to enjoy the wonderful gardens and the pool all day and watch the sunset from our patio each evening. Such a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was how well taken care of we felt all week. Nathalie helped organize a tour of local vineyards, scheduled a wine tasting by the pool, and cooked dinner for us all on 2 evenings. She also had great local restaurant and market recommendations! We also loved our morning chocolatines and croissants! They were extremely kind and accommodating throughout the trip - delivering bottles of wine when we ran short, lending us a pot so that we could cook a big stew one night, and even working a miracle helping me removing a grenadine stain from a white dress I bought at a local market. I can’t recommend this wonderful home enough!

Wonderful place, beautiful house, typical of the area, exceptional with the cathedral ceiling. Very functional accommodation and above all very useful information for atypical visits. Especially the happiness of arriving with beds made and very comfortable. Linda is very responsive, friendly and gives very good advice for places to visit and lakes as well, don't hesitate to consult her blue binder. Second stay in the area and this one is my favourite, Cazals is a superb village with all amenities 5 minutes from the house. Superb view, relaxing calm and inviting to a walk. Such a relaxing few days spent at this beautiful cottage. Nature, the local village and the sauna/hot tub were exactly what we needed

Our stay was fabulous. The house was better than it was in the photo, comfortable, nice, clean and cozy. I want to note that the pillows and blankets are extremely comfortable, which is rare. Nature is great: we enjoyed walking, fresh air, birds, BBQ and pool. The kids were a delight! Hosts are very polite, nice, and helpful. We had a very good rest, thank you!!

Treat yourself to staying at Frédérique’s home. She and Martine did everything they could possibly do to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We loved walking the hills and taking in the incredible views from this beautiful village. The restaurant La Petite Tourelle was a 2 minute walk down and a lovely dining experience. Don’t miss it! Beynac was a great spot from which to visit other quaint small villages by car and also Lascaux IV was a 45 minute drive away. We felt very at home during our stay! Thank you Frédérique and Martine!

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the apartment and its terraced garden. The view from the terrace is a pleasant one overlooking rooftops and towards a hill. It was nice to meet Ralf on arrival who showed us around, explained how the apartment worked and had time to have a chat - so much nicer than arriving to a lockbox. This is a new listing so I think almost everything is brand new - which was a plus. The beds were firm and to our liking. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils - which is great as I like to cook. There is a nice dining table and chairs on the terrace as well as other outdoor furniture. The apartment is really close to the historic centre of Sarlat - probably a five minute walk. Also close by is a bakery and it is only a few minutes walk to the supermarket if you don’t want to drive to the bigger supermarkets on the outskirts of the town. The property has a locked gated entry with parking just to the side of the apartment.

Sophie's accommodation is very nice and renovated with quality materials. In addition, it is close to the center and shops while allowing you to enjoy a beautiful environment and calm. For a stress-free arrival, Sophie had made available to us: coffee, tea, condiments, etc. It was perfect.

Our stay went wonderfully well. The place is even nicer than the pictures. It's very clean, very bright and very quiet. The garden is superb and enjoys stunning views of Cordes sur Ciel. The children had the great joy of being able to play there, to run there. It's a real slice of paradise. We would highly recommend this beautiful place and will be happy to come back!

We just spent a few days at this amazing apartment in La Roque-Gageac. The place is in a building several hundreds of years old, renovated with lots of taste, beautiful and modern bathrooms, a lovely courtyard with tables and chairs to relax in, comfortable beds. Adrien and Marion are a wonderful couple that welcomed us warmly. Our children loved their gentle dog, Indi - we loved the restaurant next door. The perfect place for a glass of wine and a taste of their remarkable food! Right in the center of la Roque-Gageac, loads of things to do such as hikes, castle visits, going to markets, cooking class, biking and canoeing (what we couldn’t do due to poor weather conditions). I highly recommend staying here! All the best to Adrien and Marion!

Our stay in Eric’s house was perfect. Stepping out into the heart of the old town was a wonderful experience every time. The location could not be more central to restaurants shops and bars. We will certainly stay again.

Great apartment in a beautiful village right in the heart of it all. The apartment was not the easiest to find but great written instructions prior to arrival by host, Birdie saved the day. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Apart from getting very lost trying to find it we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is really beautiful and perfect for our party of 9 (including a baby & toddler). The pool was really fun and we enjoyed the ping pong table. The house was very well equipped and we found lots to do within 30-40 min drive. Lovely restaurant in Coly (10 min drive) opposite the church and great supermarket in Terrasson (15 min drive). Lots of local markets, Sarlat was especially good. Would definitely recommend this beautiful house and we hope to be back one day!

Very clean, very functional accommodation that fully matches the description given. Comfortable accommodation decorated with sobriety and taste. Very nice terrace given the excellent weather we enjoyed. Well equipped with kitchen utensils. Very convenient cellar available for us who had mountain bikes.

What a delight to arrive in Marcillac-Saint-Quentin! The driveway reveals a well-kept park with a large shared swimming pool. An exceptional welcome from Mariette and Jacques! Mariette is discreet, attentive, very gentle and generous, and has a sense of hospitality. The exposed stone house has a private garden with table, deckchairs and BBQ. - On the ground floor, freshness is welcome: equipped kitchen, Louis Philippe living room, renovated furniture. Majestic open fireplace, ready to be lit. Another nice touch. - Upstairs 2 spacious bedrooms, also well cared for. Quality bedding and linens. It's a pleasure to open the windows in the morning, listen to the birds singing and watch the squirrel jumping from tree to tree. The house located 10 minutes from Sarlat, not far from Lascaux, is perfect for reconnecting with nature. It is a haven of peace with a beautiful energy. We'll be happy to go back! I would highly recommend it

A rejuvenating and relaxing stay in a peaceful natural setting. A little corner of paradise well presented by its welcoming Host who is responsive to the needs of his guests. Our two dogs were able to enjoy this large fenced area safely. In short, we enjoyed this stay beyond our expectations!

Gite des Reves was a fabuous find. It is in an idillic spot right on top of the Lot with dramatic views of the surrounding cliffs. Melody & David have created a small haven - so peaceful - we immediately fellt relaxed & at home as soon as we checked in. The owners are on sight but we stll felt we had privacy with our own terrace & use of the lovely salt water swimming pool. The hosts could not have been more friendly & welcoming & it was lovely chatting over the terrace gate - we had some great recommendations of things to do in the local area. Best of all our dog Mabel had a great time given the run of the grounds & she made great friends with Blanco - a real holiday romance! Thanks Melody & David for such a lovely week in the Lot!

We had a great time in this atypical and charming house. Very well equipped, comfortable and perfectly in line with the listing. A real little cocoon, ideal for recharging your batteries. Responsive and welcoming host. We'll be happy to go back!

Very lovely place with a beautiful view

We stayed here in June 2025. The villa was absolutely fantastic. The location is ideal for a short drive to local towns like Sarlat, but is nestled away over looking the dordogne river! Didier was extremely helpful and proactive with communication. I could not have chosen a better place to stay.
