Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Franklin County

This home is a hidden gem in the woods. It is perfect for large families or groups of couples traveling together. The only negative is actually a positive; the house is situated far from markets and restaurants, but if you like privacy and seclusion, this is your perfect retreat.

We had a wonderful stay at Debra's log cabin. Beautiful location, glorious and cozy home, and fun amenities. We played foos-ball and spent many lovely, peaceful hours in the cabin. Be careful in the winter/early spring as the walkways and driveway can get icy, but it's worth it to make it up them both.

Mark's High Pocket Bed and Barn was absolutely stunning and cozy. My friends and I stayed while attending a wedding nearby, and were so delighted by the home the minute we walked in. Thoughtful furniture and decoration through out the house, as well as beautiful yard and walking paths that were so nice to explore on a sunny spring day. The home was immaculately clean and well stocked. Mark was very communicative and responsive. We would all very happily stay at this home again!

We rented Mina’s place while attending a wedding in the Northampton area. Her place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we loved being so close to town. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic stay. The hosts were maybe the most helpful we've had in our travels. We had a late night arrival and the hosts left on extra outside lights at our request and even ran over some of their own milk so that we could have (much needed) coffee first thing in the morning. The house is on a quiet street and looks into the shared wooded back yard. Despite having the hosts next door we felt very private. The house has 2 bedrooms (a queen and a room with 2 twins) upstairs with a bathroom with a very small shower. The stairs are fairly steep (normal in an old house). The first floor is a studio setup with a queen bed in an alcove off the open-plan living room/kitchen/dining area. There's another bathroom with shower downstairs. (The first floor can be curtained off from the stairs the the second floor.) This wasn't an issue for us but wouldn't be great if you wanted a lot of privacy for the second queen bed or have both night owls and early birds in your group.

We stayed here over 4 nights for UMass graduation. The house is in a small town about a 35 minute drive from UMass, and at least compared to the insane prices of hotel and vacation rental places closer in over graduation weekend, this one was reasonably priced. The area is scenic in the summer and the town has a few restaurants including a very reasonably priced diner and a coffee shop. This was the kind of AirBnB where you feel like you are a guest in someone's home, rather than a something used exclusively for rentals by a corporate entity. The house and bedrooms were comfortable and there was a family room that was a great place to unwind. One of the little things that we greatly appreciated was that there was real half-and-half available in the fridge to go with the coffee (and also non-dairy creamers for people who prefer those). The hosts were responsive, the place was clean, and it was a nice stay.

We had such an excellent stay! The apartment is even better than the photos showed--the view of the lake is beautiful. There are several great hikes in the area. The hosts were responsive and communicative. They even offered the loan of their paddle boat. All in all, I highly recommend staying there.

We needed a place to stay a couple days for Amherst graduation access, and this worked out perfectly. It was a few minutes from campus, town, and easy to find. Comfy bed and linens, coffee, quality furniture, and squeaky clean. Even though it's connected to the main house, we didn't have any contact with, or hear our host for the weekend. It's a perfect place for a small group, low-key family stay.

A great apt, conveniently located near Northampton. Great restaurant up the street, which host recommended. Pool and hot tub were wonderful, and we had them all to ourselves - the hosts left the back yard to us! Right size apartment for the 2 of us plus our little terrier. Very comfortable king bed, although rooms were a bit crowded with extra daybeds and trundle beds in case of a larger group. Host was very accommodating - even raced to Walmart to get insect repellant due to rainy weather.

Xianxiu was very kind and accommodating on all counts. She provided a luxurious highchair for my little grandchild and was very kind even when little one did a bit of screaming at 6am. There was a technical issue with heating on, although temps around 70 outside, but she got the technician in as soon as possible. We have stayed here before, and it is still topnotch -- both because of our host but also because of the extraordinarily convenient location. Xianxiu gave me tips on playgrounds nearby (Childs Park and College School at Smith), which both worked perfectly for little one. I am very grateful to our host for her optimistic spirit and availability. Many thanks!

Clean, convenient, and comfortable! In the heart of Downtown Northampton we loved how easy it was to wander the wonderful city. We had a great stay!

Very cool and neat apartment in a lovely corner of the Pioneer Valley! Great layout, nice fixtures, everything is comfy and in good working order. It's a great space to work in. I was commuting to Northampton everyday, and the drive was one of the best parts of my whole trip. Great place in a great nook of Western Mass!
