Sleeping at the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Wake up to the view of the dining room of a herd of horses that live in freedom, 2 pigs who make their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no WiFi and no TV. However, there is a large table to play games with each other and a lovely sofa to have a glass of wine together. This is one of the most beautifully decorated homes I have ever had the pleasure of renting. Thoughtful understated elegance would be the theme for this exceptional canal house perfectly located in the quaint city of Harlingen. It is truly a sumptuous environment. There is a fine wool plaid blanket in the Blue grand room that promises instant napping. We spent over a month this Spring and my favorite pastime was reading a book under the beautiful old Gingko tree in the private garden listening to church bells and barges. The air is so clean and fresh too! Further, the Host is kind and generous. Please take care of this amazing listing because I want everything to be as it was when I come back again. Thank you for making my family feel so welcome.

We were away for another friend's wedding for a night with three friends. This Airbnb was a perfect place for us! It was a small, nicely decorated space with all the comforts and very clean. The clear instruction made it easy to find. The center was also within walking distance (15 min) so good for us for a bite to eat in Harlingen. The communication was very nice and they were also very helpful when it turned out that a friend had left something in the cottage. Highly recommended and we will probably come back again (hopefully a little longer next time!)

Goasse is a nice host, easy to communicate with. The kitchen with seating area is well equipped. At the table you have a fantastic view over the countryside. For the colder nights, there is even a small heater to make it even more pleasant. The neat spacious bathroom is between the kitchen and the bedroom. The bedroom has a very good bed, this is the nicest I slept on in an airb&B.

Heart of Franeker is an excellent and clean attic apartment! Excellent base for the town and the surrounding area. The only “but,” out of the host's fault, is that there's no stove - but that's compensated with a surplus of hospitality, literally around the corner. Great place, so!
