Monthly Rentals in Forest Home Township

The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The AC kind of went out and the hosts promptly got someone out to fix it. The setting was beautiful! We enjoyed a couple days on the boat (Northaire rentals), then did day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and then a down day with the kayaks and SUP. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Dockside Pier. We enjoyed ice cream at Moomers, local cider at Royal Farms and our best meal at Toonie’s for Friday fish fry. Us southerners should have been better prepared for colder water and later seasons. The longer days also threw us for a loop but still a great first trip to Michigan!

We had a great time on our honeymoon at spillway! They were super accommodating and the location was walking distance to downtown Bellaire. We made extra use of the sauna/cold plunge. The lodges are right by torch lake and within driving distance to Lake Michigan. We are already planning future stays here!

If you're looking for a nice place within walking distance to downtown Bellaire, this is it. I would stay again in the future.

What a beautiful and peaceful place! The outdoor space is so wonderful and we only wish we had better weather to be able to truly appreciate it! We did get to use the kayaks, which Fred kindly helped us with! Easy to walk to town for dinner. The indoor space is cozy and has everything you need. The fridge was bigger than expected, which was a bonus! I wanted to steal the cozy bed blanket too! Carol was so sweet and gave us lots of nice local tips! We really enjoyed our stay and will return if in the area again :) Thanks for a lovely weekend!
