From here, many well-known excursion destinations can be quickly reached. For example, Wasserkuppe, Kreuzberg, Fulda, Bad Neustadt or Würzburg, as well as hiking and bike trails. Horseback riding is possible in the neighboring village.

Good starting point for hikes to the Kickelhahn, to the Bobhütte, Gabelbach or Rennsteig, for bike rides on the Ilmradweg or individually, motorized for tourist destinations in Thuringia

Kassel can also be reached by public transport via the train station in Guxhagen, which is 3 km away. The Mondsee, a swimming lake, is 2.5 km away.

The in the inside renovated house is more than 100 yrs old and is located on our organic farm with a small farmer´s shop. Our home is located in franconia: known for its tasty cheap food, an amazing nature and our historically important and our beautiful city Bamberg. By all means of transport (car, bike, train) you can easily reach city and nature. The self-checkin gives you great flexibility. Everyone, no matter from which culture or country is more than welcome!

Guest house on the Schleusehof... enjoy nature!

Our guest house is located in the middle of our mini-farm, which my husband and I run as a hobby. The Schleusehof is idyllically located on a small river where you can cool your feet on hot days. The house can accommodate 4 people (2 adults/2 children). On request, we also have a baby bed for the little ones. The farm offers space to romp and relax. From the city center, you are separated by a 15-minute bus ride or an equally long bike ride, a beautiful path along the Gera and through the Luisenpark.
