The old house is situated in a small village on the edge of the Bergisches Land, a stone's throw away from the Westerwald. The house has been renovated over the past few years; only the façade is still missing. There are six rooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen, a living room in the attic, and a large property (approx. 2,000 m²). The cottage is quietly located on the outskirts of a 300-person village, there is no thoroughfare, the main noises are the occasional bleating of the neighbour's sheep.

Sie liegt nahe am Waldrand und ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Radtouren in die "Kroppacher Schweiz". Drei Spielplätze sind in der Nähe und es gibt viel zu entdecken, z. B. Hachenburg mit der historischen Altstadt (4 km), die Abtei Marienstatt mit Klostergarten & Brauhaus, die Westerwälder Seenplatte, Bad Marienberg mit Kletter- u. Tierpark.

The accommodation was designed with a lot of love for detail. The house shines with independence and special character. The house is heated with a wood pellet heating system. The electricity is generated by a hydroelectric power station adjacent to the valley mill. Sandbox, barbecue area in the garden, table tennis, table soccer, plenty of space to play and direct access to cycling and hiking trails offer you the conditions for a pleasant stay. Very nice old building apartment for two to four guests in a historic mill. Perfect for a hiking vacation or relaxation. In a picturesque location, outside the Westerwald town of Hachenburg with its picturesque market square and the open-air museum. Close to Marienstatt Monastery. Located directly on the Westerwaldsteig. Quiet and steeped in history. The first Chancellor of the FRG, Konrad Adenauer, stayed here. A commemorative plaque on the house commemorates his stay.
