Great little place and a fantastic host

We had a wonderful time at the Barn. The farm is in a tranquil and beautiful location and we were impressed by the ecological design behind the business; an array of solar panels powering the site, a log burner in the Barn itself; all the water coming from their own borehole - everything has been well thought out to make your stay as comfortable and environmentally positive as possible. The scenery inspired us to take photos and make paintings as well as memories; truly a magical getaway! Thanks very much to Piers and Sue for being such wonderful hosts and conversationists. The sheep and chickens were very friendly too!

We had a wonderful stay at The Swallows with friends for my partner’s 40th birthday. Giles and Amelia had thought about everything which made allowed for our group including young baby and dog to have a great weekend. The accomodation was lovely with great open plan space for playing games, cooking and eating. We loved to walk down to the Estuary, enjoyed lunch at the Combe Sellers, explored nearby Shaldon and Ness Beach and enjoyed the Sunday night quiz at the Wild Goose in the village. An all round perfect stay that allowed us to enjoy a magical weekend in the company of our friends. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to allow you to explore a beautiful part of Devon.

From Start to Finish Paul was the perfect host, could not do enough for us making sure that the log burners were lit every morning for us - hosting he was great fun and even joined in our activities. Paul has a great place here - you just have to realise that there is no kitchen in the main house but that did not bother us as we spent most of the time up in the area by the Hot Tub which had fantastic kitchen, games, karaoke, bar facilities - thank you Paul you made a great weekend even better !

Hallagather Farmhouse was a very successful find for our family Christmas week. It fitted us all in nicely - 6 adults, 4 pre-teen children & 2 dogs - all had lovely bedrooms with an en-suite or dedicated bathroom - plus one downstairs. Plenty of open space downstairs and a huge kitchen with the Aga keeping it warm all the time. The wood-burning stoves kept us all cosy when not exploring the short walk down to the beach and Combe Barton Inn, the coastal path, Tintagel, Padstow & the local beaches etc. Becky provided a Christmas tree and was a good host. I'd thoroughly recommend Hallagather - it certainly suited our three families & our pets!

We had a fantastic week, the house was perfect for our family, the rooms were huge and the location and views were stunning. There's so many lovely places to visit within a short drive. I couldn't recommend the house and hosts highly enough.

We had an amazing stay at Sonia and Steve’s beautiful barn. Set in a peaceful location, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The barn was spotless, and we were welcomed with lovely touches like fresh bread, butter, milk, and marmalade, along with coffee and tea. Sonia and Steve were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We visited with our dogs and loved that we could go on stunning walks right from the barn, no need to drive anywhere. Evenings were spent playing games while listening to the fire crackling in the wood-burning stove, which made for a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. We also took a trip to Smarden and stopped by the local shop, where we found everything we needed, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming getaway.

We had a fantastic stay with Clare. If you have kids, they will love seeing all the horses (plus goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc). Also right next door to Barbury Castle and the ridgeway, so brilliant walking / running on the doorstep. Less than 10mins to Wroughton for pubs, etc. Clare was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I booked Paul's Airbnb on behalf of a colleague and Paul was very responsive and helpful throughout. There was a bit of confusion from my colleague in regards to locating the cottage, but this was due to arriving very late at night, so it was our own mistake. Paul was on hand whenever we needed him and he provided an exact W3W location. The welcome pack before arriving was a lovely touch and my colleague had a comfortable, peaceful stay here. Thanks Paul.

We needed somewhere to stay for a few months as our house was going through the conveyancing process. The Annex at Maple Cottage was a fantastic temporary home. Dorothy and Ian were excellent hosts; always available but never intrusive. The Annex was well furnished and supplied. Always warm,, superb TV and great internet. We couldn’t have asked for more.

This truly was a magical experience. The host did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible and covered every detail eg, The jam, butter, marmalade and milk all stored in beautiful glass decanters. The room was stunning and aesthetically perfect, so clean, cosy and tasteful. Tracy was a hoestess with the mostess and we'd be back just to have a cup of tea with her let alone the stunning apartment. She left no stone left unturned when it came to guests needs, there was even an emergency toothbrush and toothpaste in case someone had forgotten (us) haha. Highly recommend if you want an escape to a snap shot of paradise. X

Absolutely stunning location. The hut was perfect, clean and tidy with everything you could need. The surroundings were lovely, the area quiet and only a short distance to Swanage Jefferson and Kevin were helpful and responsive.

This was our second stay at the cottage and it was just as good as the first time. Really easy to check in, the place is super comfortable and has everything you need when staying there. Lots of walks nearby and delicious places for food close by too. Ideal for a weekend getaway 😃

We had the most gorgeous 4 nights at Storms Farm. We wanted a relaxing girls holiday where we could escape from London for a rejuvenating dose of countryside and sea air… and it was exactly as hoped! Sarah was a very attentive and generous host. The accommodation is very cute and homely. We especially loved the clear skies at night and relaxing in the hot tub watching the stars whilst enjoying some wine. The kitchen is really well equipped so we stayed in every night and cooked nice dinners together by the fire but there’s also loads of quaint pubs nearby if you’d prefer; we would recommend the White Hart in Cadnam for a roast and The Haven for seafood and drinks (but would recommend making reservations for both). We will miss all the friendly farm animals and the stunning surroundings. We literally walked just outside the farm by 5 minutes and there were wild ponies and donkeys grazing in the heathland so it doesn’t get much better than that! 10/10 value for money ⭐️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was everything we were looking for in a nice, peaceful getaway. It's a beautiful place, perfect for a family getaway, with a beautiful big yard that is perfect for the whole family. The Hosts were amazing. Everything was very clean, and the instructions were very clear. Would recommend!

Had a short weekend at the flat on this loverly farm. If you want some where to chill and have some peace then this is the place to be. Add the style of the flat inside and out and how helpfull Lucy and her crew are, you the have this perfect place. The correspondence and information on the arrival and departure is first class. There is a nice little pub no more than a five minute drive called The Antelope Inn, very friendly. Thanks again Lucy for a wonderful stay.

This was the second I visited Tracy's place but this time I went with my friends and their children. It was the perfect place for us to get together, with 8 adults, 5 children all under the age of 3! The children loved the indoor and outdoor toys as well as the space for them to burn off the energy. Tracy was an exemplary host who was very responsive, even before arrival she as very attentive. The children loved the trampoline and treehouse and when it came to home time we had tears because they didn't want to leave such a great place. Thank you again, we cannot wait to visit again in the future!

Lovely weekend away. Beautiful Shepard’s hut. Very peaceful and quiet, out of the way for privacy. Beautiful views. The Alpacca’s were an added bonus to our view and stay. They loved being fed apple by us and one of them liked me so much it kept sneezing all over me 😁 Would definitely return 😁

I stayed at Andrew's place for a week with my husband and 3 year old son and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The open kitchen/lounge area works well with young children. The wood burner had a sturdy safety gate and all plug sockets had protective covers. It's well placed for visiting the local area. Plenty of national trust properties nearby and we drove the Heart of Kent route one day. Port Lympe zoo is also brilliant. Unfortunately, our son became ill during our stay so we had to cut our stay short by a couple of days. Despite that, my son hasn't stopped talking about our stay at Long Stable and will be booking a return stay in the near future. Marie, Oli and Alfie.

Beautiful house with plenty of space, hosts are very helpful and also respectful, had an amazing time away for my mums hen do is a perfect place for a gathering with friends and family.

great weekend, quiet with the children. The house is very quiet and comfortable. We slept very well there (while our children are not sleepers!) the house is 15 or 20 min from the sea, so ideal location (the seaside does not offer such spacious houses with garden, and as much quiet).

I recently had the pleasure of staying for two nights in this charming barn conversion, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The location is wonderfully peaceful, making it the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The facilities were top-notch and eco-conscious, which I truly appreciated. Penny, the host, was friendly and attentive. When I encountered a minor issue upon arrival, she resolved it quickly and with genuine apologies, ensuring my stay was comfortable from the start. I highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. You won't be disappointed!
