Lovely self contained space with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really beautifully appointed inside. Modern and uncluttered. Lovely spot with space to sit outside and secluded wodded area for a fire out or bbq which we really enjoyed. Lots of lovely walks on your doorstep there and two great local pubs nearby with friendly staff. would recommend.

Great Host. Everything was just as described. Self check in was explained in detail. Jonathan also allowed me to move my things in early, as I was moving from another stay and had about 5 hours until checking. The place is clean quiet and the bed is very comfortable. There were fresh towels available as well. Only about a 10 minute walk to the train station and parking was free and there were always available spots on the street so I didnt use the provided space. Recommend if you are staying in the area.

I have stayed at this lodge several times on long term rentals of several months- Alison / Simon are always extremely responsive. The lodge is modern, clean and in a great location for central Newbury but still peaceful in rural surroundings.

Sarah's home was absolutely perfect. We were a group of 5 - 4 adults and 1 child - looking for a quiet weekend in the country to spend some time together without the distractions of every day life and this really was ideal. It was even better in person than in the pictures - As soon as we arrived at the property, I just felt a general feeling of serenity and peacefulness and my child (7y) was delighted to run around the garden and discover the little nooks and crannies of the house. The house itself was gorgeous, a converted barn house with high end finishings throughout and the most comfortable bedding. Sarah has furnished the house with every possible amenity from frozen stews in the freezer to portable night lights to painstakingly detailed descriptions of wonderful walks in the area. We all spent a lovely afternoon with a barbecue in the backyard ending the evening with roasted marshmallows over an open fire (also very thoughtfully provided). We can't wait to go back one day
