Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Ella

Chitra went out of her way to help us with advice on local hikes, a Sri Lankan cooking lesson, purchasing local ingredients, and discussions on Sri Lankan history. Happy Stones is a beautiful villa, perched on a steep mountain slope with spectacular views of the woodlands and hills below. The surrounding small villages are charming, and gives insight into the Sri Lankan way of life, away from crowds of tourists.

We had a wonderful stay at Tea Cabins. The staff were warm and welcoming. They are always ready with a friendly smile and eager to offer help whenever needed. The location is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the town. While it's a bit out of the way, the peaceful surroundings more than make up for it. It’s just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride into town, which makes it easy to explore while still enjoying the serene atmosphere of the cabins. The cabins themselves are charming, offering a cozy and comfortable stay with beautiful views of the tea plantations. We had the plunge pool cabin it was nice and refreshing.

Our recent stay at Koshi's Country Cottage in Ella was truly an amazing and memorable one. The cottage was nicely and colorfully designed to blend with nature. The cleanliness and the scent of nature blowing through the doors were exceptional. The bathrooms and the entire cottage was spic and span! We had 24 hour security around the cottage and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were served with delicious breakfast by the friendly kitchen lady. We recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe, clam, serene and relaxing holiday in Ella.

Bola was an amazing host at the Villa. He sent a driver to pick us up when we arrived and made us dinner at the villa! He gave us some helpful tips, was very attentive, and even drove us to our next destination. I will definitely stay here if I return to Ella! 10/10 recommendation:)

Fantastic stay! The staff here are so amazing and really made our stay perfect. The pool was very relaxing and we loved the food. Plus I loved all the friendly dogs in the compound. Definitely would recommend. My only suggestion for the host would be better ventilation in the bathroom or a way to open windows on the bus, because the bathroom drains did have a smell that lingered. Besides that, we really enjoyed everything. Thank you

Pepper villa is surrounded by a beautiful forest environment and river with wildlife all around. Some insects do find their way inside, we watched dazzling displays by fireflies on some evenings. Dimuthu was an amazing host and showed us around the farm pointing out the different plants and where the best swimming spots were. His parents live in the farmhouse nearby and were very kind and helped us get milk and Kurds from a local farm. There are a couple of small local shops with basic supplies and it's a short bus ride to the nearest town with more shops, cafes and ATMs. We found pepper villa a great place just to relax and well placed for longer excursions by bus, tuk tuk or train.

Lalantha and his wife made our stay pleasant. A smiling face and a warm welcome with tummy full of happy breakfast in lush green surroundings made it worth worth staying. We requested mangoes for breakfast and being off season he still managed to get it for us. A special thanks to spring hoppers potato curry and coconut sambol...yummy . Thanks Lalantha for being such a nice host.
