The house is a 10 minute walk from the city centre of Alkmaar and 7 minutes to the train station. The train can take you directly to Amsterdam in 35 minutes. A return train ticket costs roughly €20 Alkmaar is an old Dutch city just like Amsterdam but smaller. Enjoy the canals great food and cozy atmosphere

Alkmaar is easily reachable by bus, and Amsterdam is also perfect for a day trip. Trains run every 30 minutes from Heiloo or Alkmaar.
