OPEN 20 March 2026 This is [B&B Morino Akari], a quiet old kominka-style inn nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, and limited to one group per day. (The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (please refer to the photos) ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos. The rest is all for your exclusive use, and you can spend your time freely as if you were renting the entire building. The spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people. It is ideal for family or group trips. There is also good access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and the World Heritage Site, Konpōzanji Temple. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roofs while preparing the space for you to have a comfortable stay. The tranquillity of the mountains and the soft light that illuminates the night. Here, you can forget about everyday life. Because of the natural surroundings, we recommend that you come by car. This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. 160-year-old renovated kominka house. 2300 m² site, 170 m² building.

We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area. Please refrain from having loud conversations in the garden or on the deck after 8 pm.
