Wonderful stay in Forres! The property is spacious, bright, and very well-equipped—we felt at home right away. It’s located in a peaceful and quiet setting, yet still close to iconic sites like the Moray Coast beaches, Speyside distilleries, and historical landmarks such as Brodie Castle. A perfect balance between relaxation and exploration. Highly recommended!

We stayed three nights at this cozy place with our dog and felt very comfortable during the time, the house was very tidy and it is located in an absolutely calm area. It is a perfect location to visit Cairngorms Nationalpark and Loch Ness and one day we even visited the eastern parts and saw puffins. Would definitely recommend this place for everyone travelling Scotland.

We stayed here for a week with our grown children and their partners. Alasdair's cottage was perfect. It immediately felt cosy and comfortable. The games barn was a fun addition, and a great place to store our bikes when not in use. We got the hot tub going and once up to temperature it was easy enough to keep it ticking over for several evenings. The kitchen was well appointed, enough utensils, crockery and pans for us to cook each night. The cottage is next to open fields and farm land with quiet roads that lead to Cublin Forest. This was an amazing place to explore on foot and on bike, especially the peninsula that runs along the Findhorn Estuary and into the sea. Deserted beach and inquisitive seals. We also drove about an hour north to do some hiking at Glenmore in the Cairngorms. After our busy days adventuring it was always great to return to the cottage to relax and sleep soundly in the super size comfortable beds.

We loved this beautiful lodge and it’s many lovely features. We had the privilege to stay here for a few weeks and it instantly felt like home. So many thoughtful touches, so well stocked, and comfy. My little one loved playing in the yard and trees. Jen is such a lovely host and it was an absolute pleasure to communicate with her. We are full of gratitude for our stay here and truly appreciate finding a place to call ‘home’ as we searched for ours. I’d stay here many times over for holiday, quick getaways, or long stays alike.
