Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown, Tucson

We really loved our stay at the Casita! The setting is just beautiful, surrounded by mountains and cacti, and the property is peaceful and private. However, we were just a mile or two from the grocery store and great restaurants too! It was the perfect home base for all the hiking we did, and the Casita itself was spacious, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Ken was incredibly kind and helpful, and he made us feel right at home. We were really sad to leave and can't recommend this place enough!

One of the best stays I’ve ever had! Beautiful place/location, very relaxing and clean! Hosts are extremely kind and helpful! The price was very reasonable for what you get, lots of local recommendations from the hosts, and even in the guest house there was plenty of privacy! Couldn’t ask for a better stay!

Great quiet location that is very well kept. Everything you could ever need, other than your own food is provided. We all enjoyed the shaded yard, and our son loved the cacti and plants outside! Would for sure recommend and would love to stay again, if we ever travel southwest again. The host is very responsive and helpful!

From the moment we booked Kathaleen’s casita, we were impressed. Her friendly, helpful communication was wonderful. She made us feel so comfortable and welcomed us with chocolates, fruit, coffee, milk and even all the ingredients to make a tasty breakfast the first morning. We loved sitting on both porches listening to the rich birdlife and cactus in bloom. Biking and hiking opportunities were close and wonderful. I loved this place! The back patio and indoor atriums were so peaceful. Waking up to hummingbirds right outside the bedroom door was delightful!! Highly recommend!!

Had a group stay here and it worked really well for us, bonus of having full size comfortable beds in every room, hot tub was a great amenity (though advice adjust temp carefully the on tub thermostat was def off showing a lower temp then it actually was!) still great, just needed to set it much lower then expected to be comfortable. House was good overall! Great value for the price and space.

When looking for a place in the Tucson area, I needed a place close to the people I was visiting. Sybil's location was perfect. Then I looked at the condo and it had all that we required - a master bedroom with a large closet - and lots of hangers - and a full bathroom. The second full bathroom and a pull out couch made it perfect. The kitchen had all the needed tools and dishes to serve 6 for meals - the chairs on the small "patio" meant enough seating. The washer and dryer were a blessing. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub on a daily basis. Sybil was great to touch base as we were preparing to come and her directions were clear and easy to follow. The delicious homemade chocolate croissants were a wonderful first breakfast - so easy to prepare and so tasty. Sybil responded to all inquiries in a timely manner. I would recommend Sybil as a host and her condo as wonderful place to relax and to use as a base to explore Tucson. Thank you for helping to make a good holiday great, Sybil.

Sally's place was lovely -private and peaceful. Would love to return one day. Sally was a great communicator too.

The place was clean and quiet and a great location to commute to work by bike. I had a minor issue and he was responsive and fixed it right away. Would stay here again.

This was our second stay in Elizabeth's Tiny House. She is an attentive host and quickly responds to any questions or problems. We love being able to eat our meals out in front of the house. We also like the security of being behind a locked gate at night. There was plenty of room for our truck. Having an on-site washing machine is very convenient. We are able to go hiking and biking right from the house without having to drive. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come back in the future.

We had a great stay at Casa Allen James. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. It is in a great location and super close to U of A (less than 5 minutes driving). The hosts were always super friendly and helpful. The thoughtfully curated artwork and furniture created a very cozy atmosphere inside, but our favorite part of the house was definitely the backyard/pool/patio area.

Shannon's place is very close to the Tucson Botanic Garden and the Garden District. We found it to be a quite, walkable neighborhood!

I did not want to leave. The property was private and lovely, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Teresa and Dan did a wonderful job of creating a cozy and useful apartment. Every aspect was created with our comfort in mind. The bird watching was excellent. The pool was refreshing and so nice in this gorgeous setting. I also got to experience Teresa's float tank which turned out to be an amazing experience. We would return in a heartbeat.

Great location near the U of A and downtown. Walkable in the spring weather. Appreciated the responsiveness in communication about any questions. Easy access. Highly recommend and we will stay here again!

We stayed in Von’s apartment within a house for a month. Completely private with its own entrance in a very nice quiet neighborhood conveniently located to a bunch of stuff to keep you busy! Place had a fairly well stocked kitchen, large shower, and a comfy bed. Host was also very responsive to our requests. Nice place!

Perfect little casita for my family :)

Shelly’s place is one of the best Airbnbs that we have ever stayed in! It was clean, comfortable, cozy, walkable to great restaurants and in a great area in Tucson. We were unable to enjoy swimming in the pool due to the cool temperatures while we were there but hanging out around the pool area was very relaxing. Would love to return here if we are in Tucson again!

This was one of the most comfortable places I've stayed during vacation! The prime bedroom bed was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. Yes, really! I don't think I've ever complimented sheets in an Airbnb before, but I just had to this time. I loved walking through the neighborhood because it felt safe and there were sidewalks leading to stores and restaurants. The hot tub was amazing! The temperature inside was always perfect. There was plenty of room in the kitchen and dining room. I even loved how there was a long hallway between the living area and the primary bedroom, so we could go to bed early and didn't hear the TV in the living room. Eric was the perfect host!

Our second stay here. Always enjoyable. any questions or inquiries are responded to very promptly. The home is well supplied with with all necessary items including a variety of books.

Kristen’s place was just what we needed for our spring break trip. We felt completely at home and looked forward to coming back after our daily outings. The house was cozy and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable and feel secure. The pool was amazing and I truly enjoyed spending the time there with my kids. Thank you! We would love to come back next time we are in town!

We are so grateful to have found Tranquil Bears Path Casita during a quick, last minute trip to Tucson. Michael and Margaret were extremely hospitable - we appreciated them taking the time to meet us and show us around. We wanted something quiet and relaxing, so this stay was just what we needed! The bottled water, ice maker and snacks were thoughtful touches.

I had been so busy with work, family then the trip… Even though I was not as responsive and as communicative, Laura reached out to check with me on ETA and gave me some notes on how to find the house/where to park, and even briefly came out to say hi to us at 10pm. We felt comfortable and had good nights of sleep. Recommend her place :)
