Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Donostia-San Sebastian

The accommodation was great, very well equipped, pleasant and the location convenient for access to the beach or the city centre.

Quaintly decorated, lovely house in beautiful surroundings. The village is very small, not much in the area in the way of cafes or shops. However, it iis easy to drive into Donostia and the west coast areas. The flat was clean and cute, with a lovely host. We had a great stay overall!

What a wonderful stay in this little cocoon, a big thank you to Katia and Olivier who were available and responsive when needed and very discreet throughout our stay. The extras that make the difference: air conditioning, swimming pool, barbecue, quality of the bedding, outdoor terrace, darts and finally the 2 magnificent bikes that allow you to ride from the accommodation to the beach of Ondres or enjoy the surrounding areas. The accommodation is frankly great and especially close to everything, it is a good starting point to visit the Basque and Landes coast.

Sylvain is a welcoming, responsive, friendly and caring host to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We thank him again for the note on the table and the sweets on our arrival. Our exchanges during our two-week stay were always very pleasant and informative. The cottage is well located to explore the region and meet the wishes of activities whether at sea, in the mountains or in the countryside. The cottage - with modern and refined decor - was impeccable when we arrived. It is very well equipped and the outdoor view from the terrace is beautiful.

Kontxi and Xabi were very welcoming, and we were made to feel at home immediately. The apartment is beautiful, with amazing views of the hills. The garden was safe and secure for our 4 year old to play, with a trampoline and swings to keep him amused. There were some food essentials provided which was appreciated after a day of travelling. Kontxi provided many local recommendations in San Sebastianand the surrounding area. Our favorite part was being so close to the green path which stretched up towards the hills and to San Sebastian, which was perfect for early morning runs before it got too warm. The bakery close by and the fresh milk machine (milk pasturised that day!) Were also highlights. As users of AirBnB for many, many years, we agreed that Kontxi and Xabi were the best hosts we havd had. We would love to come back.

Fantastic stay right near the beach. Given many great recommendations by the host, wish we had more time there!

I know with today’s tech, you can communicate with host and never meet in person. Ana met us at the door, walked us through the apartment, showed us where everything was. She told us all her favorite restaurants, shopping haunts. Those personal touches make a difference. We loved the place. Of note there is only one bathroom which is clearly stated.

The apartment is beautifully designed and located in an excellent area. Communication with the owner was smooth and pleasant. My parents and I really enjoyed our stay and are already wishing to come back in the near future. A slightly lower cost would make it even more attractive, but given the location and the quality of the facilities, the price is understandable.

Fantastic location and very spacious apartment. Had everything we needed for our stay in Donostia and the host was so easy to deal with and very friendly. We felt at home and loved the area it was located in. Easy walk to Gros, the old town, the beach and main bus station. Right in the shopping district with plenty of places to shop and eat. Easy to catch the local buses and also the regional buses to the towns of Getaria and Hondarribia. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Mentxu's place. Mentxu was really helpful and his instructions for finding and checking in were very clear. Apartment was really clean when we arrived. Had everything we needed (washing machine and tumble dryer came in more handy than we expected). Despite being only a short walk from the busy town and beach the apartment is in a very quiet area. Our only negative is that the main door to the block of flats has an automatic close mechanism which causes the door to slam loudly whenever any of the residents of other flats come or go. Don't know if this is just the way the closer works or if it is possible to get it adjusted to be quieter. Overall we had a great stay and would stay at Mentxu's again if we return to San Sebastian.

We had a wonderful stay in Donostia at Inigo’s stylish apartment. The host was super communicative throughout and had thought of everything to make our stay a success - from the drinks in the fridge to greet us to the beach bag in the cupboard. We had high hopes for the location and view and it didn’t disappoint- it was such a joy to watch the sunsets over the bay from the terrace, and only a stone’s throw from the beautiful, sandy La Concha beach for swimming, running, walking and relaxing. Everything was walkable from the apartment - we didn’t have to take taxis or public transport once. The perfect spot for a chilled out and sophisticated mini-break - and our teenagers were blown away too.

What a brilliant trip, one of our best ever! From the moment we arrived, our hosts Miguel and his wife made us feel incredibly welcome. The apartment, located in the heart of the Gros area, was perfect... It was clean, safe, and ideally situated for exploring San Sebastián. We couldn't have asked for a better spot. Miguel and his wife went above and beyond, providing us with helpful information and even a lot of food, which was so appreciated. Although we don’t speak Spanish and they don’t speak English, we easily communicated through a phone app and it worked just fine! A special mention to the lovely lady in the nearby coffee shop who had my coffee ready each morning before I even asked such a nice touch. The food in the local restaurants was outstanding, especially the pizza place below the apartment honestly one of the best we’ve had and great value too. Would we return to this apartment and location? Absolutely, 100% yes. Thank you, Miguel and your wonderful wife, for everything.

Very pleasant 6-night stay. The place is in a house belonging to the owners, but we still fully enjoyed our privacy, without hearing the slightest noise. The place is clean and in all respects matches the description. The rental is ideally located, 15 minutes' walk from the beach. It is very easy to park, with spaces available just in front of the apartment. Our host was very responsive and caring. We would recommend it without hesitation and will be happy to come back!

Mikel’s place was very nice and very clean…had everything we needed. The view from our balcony was a bonus. Coffees in the morning, watching surfers , wine in the evening and beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay here again if we ever visit beautiful San Sebastián again! Thank you Mikel

Helen kept us well informed of where to park and arrival instructions. We arrived later than expected due to car issues and she arranged for a lovely helpful friend to meet us. The apartment was immaculately clean and well equipped, with everything that you could need plus lots of extra touches. There was milk, Beer, water and soft drink in the fridge which was appreciated and plenty of tea/ coffee and condiments if needed. The apartment was spacious and everywhere smelt clean and inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Helens place

The contact with Denise was very pleasant and friendly. The information was always clear and understandable. The apartment was clean, very well maintained and cozy. The old town was easily accessible on foot, but there was also a bus right in front of the house. There were also plenty of parking spaces (P & R, but you could also use the "blue" parking spaces for free from 8 pm to 9 am. On weekends and public holidays, even all day for free.
