Wonderfully charming cottage, Hosts were pleasure to deal with. Our small jug dog loved the space with private field and easy access for walks. Exactly as described, thanks again for a great stay. Would definitely book again!

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and equipped with modern kitchenware and thoughtful touches. Lucy was very flexible regarding our early arrival time and talked us through our concerns about the hilly nature of the walk down to the river. Our neighbours and everyone in the village was friendly with tea rooms and pubs and shops all within walking distance. The 10 minute drive to Bakewell and larger supermarkets was easy. Parking was not always easy but we usually found a space and if not, found the Car Park available about 5 mins walk away for a suggested contribution. June 21-28 was Well Dressing week - same time of year every year - and we wish we had been aware of this when we booked. We loved our trips to nearby Eyam, Edale, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A group of us had a wonderful stay at the house. Abi the host was always quick to respond and super helpful. The accommodation was beautiful and peaceful with lots of space for everyone to relax for the weekend.

Very pleased and surprised how nice the house was as still quite new to Airbnb. Very thoughtful complimentary items including milk & some breakfast items that I had forgot to bring with me.

A beautifully appointed little home with lovely features and furnishings. Everything was very clean and comfortable and in keeping with the character. Even though it's close to the owner's private home , there is actually a lot of privacy. It's actually perfect for a romantic getaway! Fabulous!

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Castleton! Lots of restaurants/pubs, small convenience shops, and amazing views right on your doorstep. Marieanne was so friendly and always responsive, and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. Definitely will have to visit again next time we’re in Castleton!

I had an absolute incredible experience at Denise’s place, from the moment I arrived, everything was spotless, stylish and thoughtfully prepared. Check-in was easy. The space itself was better than the photos- beautifully decorated and cozy. The bed was super comfy and I appreciated all the little touches that made it feel homely. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this little gem for anyone visiting the area.

I booked this for my daughter and husband who were visiting from Australia. It was perfect for them . They walked regularly along the canal and into Bingley where there are loads of shops, bars and restaurants. They said it was very comfortable and quiet and will recommend

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated in a vintage style, which made our stay warm and comfortable. Carmen and Martin welcomed us with open arms, and Carmen was incredibly kind and friendly. She explained everything clearly and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Ebor Suite and wished it was for longer. Beautiful decor and everything you need for a short stay. Great detailed instruction for check in. Close to a co-op if you need a few supplies and plenty of restaurants and takeaways. We would certainly return and would recommend to others.

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

We had an amazing stay at Bradley East Wing. The cottage was beautiful with a lot of attention to detail - fresh flowers from the garden were a fantastic touch. A very peaceful stay. Anna & Ian were very hospitable & no query was too much. We are very much looking forward to a future stay

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

We had an unforgettable and special stay at this beautiful house. The sunny woodland walks among the snowdrops and around the lake were a delight, and we spotted all sorts of wildlife. Our dogs had a great time running and playing in the open field, and the small children (and big kids) in our party absolutely loved the play area, tennis court, and swimming pool… but the highlight of their stay was the hot tub! Meeting our host, Robert (and his little one), was lovely too. The house had everything we needed to enjoy some quality time together in this lovely historic setting — it’s a rare gem. Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience! The little ones are already asking when we can return to the big house — we hope to come again soon!
