Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Digby County

Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a struggle with the mortgage company for a home that had purchased near Yarmouth, but this made the hassles easier to deal with and it was a great location to get out and meet our new neighbors

The Cottage House was the perfect retreat for our family of 4. The spot is amazing. Can’t beat the views. We enjoyed sunsets over the Bay of Fundy from the hot tub and under the watchful eye of a giant Osprey one evening. The house itself was squeaky clean and beautiful. The master bedroom was spectacular with a perfect view from almost every spot in the house. Beds were very comfy! And the open kitchen with ocean views made cooking a dream. Kit is a very friendly and responsive host. We will definitely be going back because as much as we love to find new places for our annual trip, hard to imagine we’ll find a nicer place than the Cottage House.

We were in the area visiting family and friends. The cottage was on a beautiful waterfront. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious with games to play, netflix etc. We found everything we needed to cook in the kitchen. The house was clean and a beautiful place to stay. Just a ferry ride away to brier island, we visited pond cove (beach), western light has a breathtaking sunset, nothern light has nice walking trails and we had drinks and a delicious meal at Chetwick's !!

We felt lucky to find a place so close to the beautiful Kejimkujik National Park!! The yard is huge and beautiful with a lovely walk down to the lake. Comfortable beds, nice hot water, easy to control the temperature in the house. Only negatives; upstairs bathroom only has a tub, kayaks need some work.

We two [married (to each other !) since 1968 ] 78-ers thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable 9 -day stay in mid-September at Doug's and Gail's charming rental home in Lubec. All 9 days were sunny! We wouldn't hesitate to return. Our favorite restaurant for lunch /dinner is Fisherman's Wharf and the fish and chips at HD & Sons Seafood comes highly recommended. We had tasty lunch twice at the Breakwater Cafe downtown on Water St. You may find Monica's Chocolates a fun stop. We scored a generous, delish batch of blueberry muffins from Gail for our stay of more than a week. Thank you, Gail! The Keurig and big supply of Arabica pods was a giant winner with our habitual coffee drinker.

The place was perfect, particularly the location. Would stay here again. Nice having the Roof Hound and Elephant cafe close by.

Lisa’s place was so beautiful n cozy, has everything you need for a staycation. I love that it’s right near the water n have full access. I would recommend this stay to anyone who needs a relaxing stay.

The layout is open, spacious, and has a simple elegance. The host is responsive and helpful.

Lovely spot.. clean,modern and comfortable. Walking g distance to Water St… would highly recommend! W

My Wife and I stayed for 3 nights, what a beautiful scene to wake up to each morning. The Machias River attracts so much wildlife ( Bald Eagles, Osprey, seals, deer and lots of geese that made the Inn a landing strip) and we got to see that every day. Area restaurants are very good as well. We look forward to going back again next year.

Beautiful location, absolutely stunning and peaceful. The host has instructions clearly laid out with multiple great recommendations. We didn’t bring our dogs but they are very well prepared for your furry companion with a nice fenced in yard, lots of outside toys and even a bed for them to rest in when the fun is over.

Really great place that feels like a home away from home. Thank you Adam and Kate for being such great hosts!

Oh my God, what an awesome amenity-filled apartment! While we were only in Saint Andrews for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found Roseann and John to be attentive, excellent hosts. They thought of everything. We will be back!!!

Beautiful spot and wonderful hosts! I can’t recommend this spot enough as the location, though not right downtown, is only a couple blocks away and is very walkable to the local restaurants and shops. The carriage house itself is beautifully renovated and has everything you need, including a nice outside area if the weather is nice. Jackie was very responsive and got back to me when I had questions within minutes. Why anyone would stay in a hotel when this gem is an option baffles me. Highly recommend!

A beautiful, peaceful stay in Lubec! We hope to come back someday and rent the large main cabin as well. It is a great location to relax by the beach and explore Campobello Island. The pictures were accurate but just an FYI for anyone who has a someone who snores or has kids in the family- the two bedrooms are only separated by an open doorway and a curtain - you can hear everything from the other room. 😆

"The Healing Shack" worked out really well for me and for my dog. Quiet location and very private. We started each morning by taking a walk on a road that had beautiful views of the bay but with little traffic. The cabin itself was a bit quirky, but for me that was part of the charm. I texted Melissa twice with questions about the cabin and each time she replied within minutes. Although the cabin had a sleeping loft, I opted to sleep on the couch so that I could be on the dog's level and it was actually very comfortable.

Beautiful, private cabin with an incredible oceanfront location. Secluded, peaceful, rustic, tastefully decorated. This is a unique place to get away from it all. Gio and Gia have built something really special here.

What a jewel their cottage is, and exactly as described. The cottage was immaculate and everything you need is there and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had longer to visit. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area, while enjoying a nice relaxing place to stay on a lovely lake. Loved the kayaking as well.

We had a lovely stay! The cabin was cozy and clean, and the surrounding property was stunning. Jeff was always quick to respond, and we had no issues with check-in or out!

We really enjoyed our trip, loved how private the location was so we were able to unplug from a very busy lifestyle. Their setup by the ocean is absolutely perfect! Kayla was very friendly to deal with and graciously came to setup the sauna whenever we needed. Highly recommend!

The place was just as described, and Amanda and Jay are super responsive and helpful. The bunkie is cozy and small so make sure to not pack too much. Have had a ton of fun exploring the area, kayaking in the bay, or just reading next to a fire.

We loved the cottage and restaurant near by. Amazing food and staff. Clean, cozy and comfortable!! Would recommend this place to anyone. We will be back!
