I really enjoyed 3 days in Balk with the very friendly Judith and Jeroen. Beautiful homestay, super clean and tidy. Beautiful area within walking distance of Slotermeer. Beautiful garden with various seating areas where you can relax and read breakfast. The surroundings are also beautiful, in my opinion the most beautiful part of Friesland. I would 100% recommend this homestay and I will definitely return here. Thank you very much for everything!

We had a wonderful time in this tiny house. An incredible tranquility and a beautiful nature combined. The house was very lovingly furnished and we lacked nothing. We were able to enjoy the time very much and unwind wonderfully. Thank you for this opportunity. We'll be back for sure! 💛🦌🌿🪺

super cozy & beautiful house. We had 2 really nice weeks there as a family. Everything very calm and relaxed, perfect for unwinding and slowing down. The pool within the complex was perfect for the child. Cycle with empty swimming beaches is only 20 minutes away. Arlien was always available as a host and very friendly. Very detailed instructions for arrival/departure!

We were visiting a relative in the area. The venue suited our needs very nicely. Home from home (once we got used to the stairs). A version of the Guidance Book in English would be very useful. If we venture into Drenthe again, we will certainly look to see if Irene’s home is available.

A charming spot to enjoy nature and truly disconnect. The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming. We were two couples, and while the place felt a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos, it was still perfectly comfortable for a short stay. Highly recommended!

The cottage is as shown in the photos and equipped with every comfort! Everything has been thought of. At the table you can sit with a view of the water where many birds can be seen. When we arrived there was snow and ice which was beautiful to see. In the second half of the week it was so hot that we could sit outside. We have enjoyed the place and the silence. Our stay at this beautiful, idyllic farmhouse was just perfect. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at home. The breakfast was a dream, lovingly prepared and incredibly delicious with love for details. Johan and Imi were very friendly, attentive and always there for us. It was a real pleasure to be here, we would have preferred to stay longer. Thank you for this wonderful time!

We spent a wonderful week at Aagje in Een-West. Beautiful spacious house with a lovely garden. Good beds. We met wonderfully sunny weather. Since it is still early in the year, it was also wonderful to sit in the igloo greenhouse at the end of the afternoon;where it was warmed up by the sun. Aagje is a very sweet hostess;cheerful,interested and always willing to give information about the beautiful surroundings. As a family with 3 young children, we had a wonderful stay in your cottage. The house is clean and equipped with every comfort, especially the games room with toys and also a playhouse in the garden was very popular! The sauna is lovely and we have also made good use of the DVD collection! Communication with Marten and Brigitte was excellent, a problem with the bathroom was quickly resolved. There is a lot to see in the area and the park is wonderfully quiet. As far as we are concerned, highly recommended!
