We stayed with 3 adults and two toddlers and the space was completely sufficient. There was also enough board game material available on rainy days and the children still got a lot of painting utensils from Marieke. The kids were very happy about that. Outside in the garden it was very idyllic and in the summer it was certainly nice to sit outside by the pond comfortably in the evening. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. we lacked nothing. The communication with Marieke was great. She was always very accessible and proactively suggested activities. All around a very successful week :) Thank you very much for that.

Beautiful place, enjoyed the greenery, the birds (the two woodpeckers in the garden that flew in and out) and the tranquility. Calm park, you can hear people, but it still feels very private. We had beautiful weather, which also contributed to a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

There were four of us there in June – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes away by car.

A little gem. Great amenities in the garden (against extra cost) was perfect for relaxing once kids were asleep. Enjoyed access to larger park too.

We really enjoyed our stay in Willem's cottage. It is a beautiful cottage with a spacious garden. All amenities have been thought of. We were with our toddler (2.5) and baby (4 months) and found the cottage well equipped for this. The toddler could play on the trampoline all day and there were plenty of toys available. The cottage is also well insulated and can be cooled well. The park was neat and very quiet (in the low season, June). We were regularly the only ones in the pool, even in good weather. The playground was spacious and had a lot of different playground equipment. For shopping and cafes, you can drive to Ommen within 10 minutes. There are several fun activities to do, a visit to the mill was the highlight of the holiday for our toddler. From the cottage you can walk right into the woods. You can feel the tranquility and nature. We can recommend this cottage to everyone!

A wonderful place! Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, thanks to the playground and the swimming pool a Valhalla for children. The cottage is equipped with all comforts, spacious bedrooms, wonderful kitchen and very nice garden. We were here in the spring, but can totally imagine that it is enjoyable every season. With a group of friends of 5 people, we stayed three nights in this AirBnB on a small-scale park. There were few other guests in the park, so we could enjoy the nice jacuzzi and garden. Unfortunately, for the (unheated) pool, the temperature outside was just a bit too cold. Inside is a lot of space, the cottage is much larger in terms of seating space than for 5-6 people. The beds (a total of 6 sleeping places) were excellent. With two refrigerators, six burners (gas stove) and a spacious dishwasher, the kitchen was also great, although unfortunately there was no towel or tea towel available to dry the hands and small dishes. It is also nice that there are two toilets (one of which is separate), but the door to the bathroom with toilet cannot be locked and does not close completely. Arrival is fine, with some information from the host in advance via the app and on site instructions to get to the right cottage at the small bungalow park. All in all a great stay in a nice area!

We had two beautiful days at the house. It is quiet. There are also two supermarkets in the village. There is a lot to do in the region. The house also invites you to linger. Both saunas were really great. We'll be sure to recommend

The house is a wonderfully comfortable house where we spent a very nice holiday. We were there for two weeks (we even extended for 1 day) but we could easily have stayed longer. A very beautiful environment where it was wonderful to walk and cycle. And in the garden, about the only sound you heard was from the birds (and sometimes the sheep in the distance). Piet responded to all questions very quickly and when the first day it turned out that the TV was 'disrupted' and, despite all the instructions, could not be solved by us, he himself came by to fix it. Even after KPN's maintenance in the area prevented the internet from starting up (tried many times), Piet came by again as a saving angel and was able to solve the problem. In short, very helpful and approachable. Definitely a place to remember!

We had a wonderful time at Ton and Lizette’s place. The house and surroundings were even nicer than the photos. The house had everything we needed for a weekend away. They even included a few dog treats to also welcome our dog. He really lived his best life exploring outside. We felt relaxed and enjoyed taking walks in nature. The bed was so comfortable with the adjustable settings and reading lamps. We were sad to leave, but we look forward to going back!

We had a wonderful weekend with our son (8) in Johannes' cottage. What attention has been paid to the construction and furnishing of this cottage, wonderfully how many details Johannes has managed to add, we recognised objects that our grandmother used to cook with or that were in her kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the cottage is equipped with every comfort. Bicycles are available, but you can also go many ways from here by car. We hope to come back to see more of the area.

We spent a wonderful week in this fantastically beautiful holiday home! Together with friends, our children and their children, we were able to enjoy the peace and nature to the fullest. The house is very tastefully decorated, absolutely clean and leaves nothing to be desired – you immediately feel comfortable. The surroundings are idyllic and perfect for families: the children were allowed to visit sheep and move freely on the adjacent pasture. They were also particularly enthusiastic about the orchard, where we were allowed to pick to our heart's content. There is a cosy restaurant nearby, fresh honey from their own beekeeper and eggs from the chickens right on site – simply wonderful! The hostess was extremely friendly, spoke very good German and was particularly warm in dealing with the children. We felt completely welcome and can recommend this place without reservation.

We really liked the house! The location is wonderfully quiet and idyllic – perfect for unwinding. Especially the river directly on the property makes the stay extra special. The house itself is very nice, clean and ideal for a relaxing holiday. We felt completely comfortable!

The location of the house is unique. This makes it super quiet. The garden is shaded by the tall trees, which is an advantage in high summer. In spring, it's cooler during the day. This has not further affected our stay. We enjoyed the time very much.

Diana was very friendly and gave us many helpful tips. We liked the apartment very much and it was stylishly furnished. The location is close to the centre and the furnishings corresponded completely to the description and had a high standard. We would come back here anytime.

we had a nice time in the house and think it is a special place. the wardrobe beds were great for the children and we enjoyed it very much, having plenty of space in the kitchen and living room.

Great house, especially the beautiful conservatory where we sat wonderfully. It is also very nice to be able to open the glass walls in good weather. Nice terrace. Special that the house is on a busy road, but due to the distance to the road there was no traffic to hear.

Had a wonderful weekend. Spacious rooms which made it an extra pleasant stay. Cozy furnished and the house has everything you need/could wish for. Simply great!

A very friendly welcome in a beautiful quiet Frisian place. Living in a well-kept old Frisian house, close to the water, has I liked it very much. If you are looking for relaxation, you are in good hands in Grou.

Had a great time. We had beautiful weather, but the hot tub was still nice, especially for the kids. Close to the water and a lot to do nearby for those looking for.

We had a great time in this beautiful house right on the water! The location is simply fantastic – you can look directly at the water from every room. The house is very modern, stylish and designed with great attention to detail. The kitchen has a lot of kitchen appliances and spices. In general, nothing was missing in the furnishings. A small note for those with a pollen allergy: there is a lot of nature in the area, which is wonderful - but it is advisable to have allergy medication with you if you are sensitive. We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the house!

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time in Midwolde. It was easy to start our bike tours from here. The sauna and all other amenities were outstanding! A very tasteful intererior design. The beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in the chalet for 4 nights and had a wonderful rest. There is everything you need and we felt comfortable right away. The campsite is quiet and all the people there are very friendly. Our dog loved it too! We would come back anytime.
