Holiday rentals with lake access in Destin Harbor

The house is amazing. It had everything we needed for our stay. Just a few minutes from the beach. Jerry was always very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it.

Great place to stay for two families! Short drive to all the restaurants and a pretty easy walk even for my littles to the beach! House was well equipped thank goodness for the beach chairs and toys! Would stay again!

This is my family’s 2nd time staying at Ken’s and it was great! Our neighbors upstairs were quite loud with their kids stomping but that’s not Ken’s fault. Besides that, we do plan to stay again next year but preferably with both units and more family to avoid the loud upstairs. The location is perfect to grocery and shopping stores and the beach is directly across the street. Ken even met us to formerly introduce himself which made us even more comfortable. Overall, we will be back and cannot thank Ken enough for the awesome hospitality, home, amenities, and cleanliness. This place is a gem! Highly recommended :-) plus our daughter loved feeding the turtles in the back yard and the perfect sunset views over the lake. Thank Ken!

The home is beautiful and very clean! Plenty of amenities and amazing views. The kitchen is large and spacious! Master bedroom has view to the bay! Coffee on the outside patio was peaceful and amazing! Definitely recommend and definitely will comeback!

Very nice! I slept 8 hours every night in this rental which is rare for me on vacation. The golf cart is the game changer for this community. We took it everywhere. We made a seafood boil one night and enjoyed it on the back porch. We loved having a washer and dryer and came home with clean clothes. The neighborhood is quiet and just what we needed. Host is very communicative, we even extended our stay by one night.

I want to start off by saying how beautiful this home was. It’s a very large, spread out home with beautiful decor and views of the pool and bay. The master suite was my favorite with a very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. My family loved the large home, the pool and the privacy of the home. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Plenty of activities to do in the home and outside. There is some wear and tear in the home such as the walls, but it did not affect our stay. The home shows a hot tub, which it is not a hot tub, but it is used to heat the pool. The house had everything you would need to cook, clean, fireplace, all the essentials, family games and more. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the home! I would recommend staying here!

Our stay was amazing! The pool was a 10 out of 10 and well loved during our stay. The house was amazing and comfortable and offered our family the opportunity to spend some well needed quality time with one another. The house was also very nice and super clean.

This place is an absolute gem—one of our very favorite Airbnbs! Mark and Melinda went above and beyond—extra clean condo, comfy beds, quality towels, beautiful decor, snacks, extra toothbrushes, etc. It was the little details that meant the most to us. The resort grounds were beautiful as well and the pool was super clean. A quick, easy walk to the beach (where we spent most of our time). Check in was super quick and easy. We can’t say enough good things about this property! A wonderful experience all around!

Wesley’s place was perfect for 2-4 ppl, couch and airbed included! Nice spacious balcony! Close to the beach but not walking distance. Many shopping, activities, and dining options nearby. Right off Highway 98 with gated access, golf cart rental and a pool! Wesley graciously accepted my reservation the day of check-in! He thoroughly communicated all of the details necessary to access the unit. It was exactly as described and a great budget-friendly/last minute location. Everything you need is there…and if not, Walmart was 5-7mins away (Alcohol was cheaper there too!) I loved the privacy and space offered. Can’t wait to come back to Destin and stay here again!

This place is not even described accurately through the photos. This is the best Airbnb we’ve ever been to! The ocean is totally accessible as well as kayaks, paddle boards, etc. You can swim with large fish, dolphins, sting rays, etc. The mini-home is right off of the yard and you are able to do anything you want from there. It’s clean and precise with all of the labels showing you how to work everything. All in all, an amazing visit! 100% recommend

Not on the beach but next best to it. It’s on a resort with many amenities. Beach is only a walkable half mile along with a restaurant (beach house) on the boardwalk we ate 2 days in a row. Pool was beautiful, clean and family friendly. Easiest check in with very clear instructions. Very clean condo with a small balcony.

This was the perfect place to stay for a little trip. It is also the perfect distance to the beach and places to eat!

Overall, our stay was great. The majority of the property was booked all weekend. Little different staying in a location with multiple renters, much like a bed and brekkie. I enjoyed our space - we weren’t around much but you can hear very clearly your neighbors since it’s only a door that separates you. Quiet time is 10 and everyone followed that which was good. We enjoyed the dock the most. I sat for hours and watched dolphins play right in front of me. The dock needs some work with the sun getting to it but pretty typical in Florida. The grounds were kept clean and nice. Crystal was our co-host and she was amazing. Responsive and communicative - we were even able to check in a liter early. Bed on our side of the manor is pretty soft, so it was the couch for me as it’s more firm. I’d stay again but maybe in the guesthouse where it’s more quiet as that’s my preference. Parking can be tricky so be prepared. Three boat trailers while we stayed but I had my own space. Enjoyed it!

Really enjoy the place! Great location pretty central to restaurants, beach, and shopping! Also liked the fact that is gated, Private, and quiet.

Paula was a great host and very friendly with a quick response time. Her unit looked exactly like the pictures and had everything we needed for our stay. The beach front balcony had the perfect view of the beach and pool area. We would definitely rent from her in the future.

This place is so cute! From the roosters crowing in the morning to the tree frogs singing in the evening; we loved it. The property is filled with charm having beautiful gardens & a variety of Annie's antique treasures around the cottage... vintage, quirky ,rustic... It all takes you back to a simpler time and gives you that true southern, "old florida" vibe. Annie is so personable and sweet..and knows all the hot spots around town for shopping, food and adventure.... and its just a short drive to the beautiful white sandy beaches on the Gulf. Wonderful place!

A welcomed oasis. It was a calm, peaceful setting. The neighborhood feels safe and comfortable. The house has everything you will need. Kitchen well stocked with quality pans, and kid friendly items also. Bathrooms are a nice size and the porch was great for storing beach gear. Some chairs and bikes were a bonus that were included!

Second time staying here. I selfishly don’t want to leave a review bc it’s truly a hidden gem. Sandy and Larry are fantastic hosts. Amazingly stocked Airbnb, all the soaps shampoos etc that you need, always a stocked kitchen, lots of beach towels, plenty of bath towels, beach chairs, etc. Everything that you would need for a little beach vacation. It’s a mini kitchenette in the unit but plenty to do some basic cooking. The location is perfect to walk to the beach. Hope you enjoy this gem as much as we do every time.

Great stay. Master bedroom bed was comfy and the bedding was soft. Slept like a baby. Lots of floor mats all around which is a beach necessity to keep sand out and comfy in. Rain shower head was a treat and the water pressure was great. Shower curtain was a little pink around the bottom indicating a need to be washed or bleached. Not a big deal and my eyes were closed enjoying the rain head shower anyway. Guest bed wasn’t quite as comfy as the master, but my daughter didn’t have any trouble sleeping in each day. Black out window coverings would be a nice addition as it gets bright early at the beach. Kitchen was well stocked, but the only we used during our stay was the fridge and mw. Checkout duties were normal start the dw and washing machine before you leave. Nothing ridiculous. Wife mentioned that the kitchen cabinets and stove front could use a deep clean. We did have guests in the attached apt. During our stay in the main unit. I could hear them pretty clearly through the walls.

Everything was wonderful except the Beach was soo over populated. Just To many people using one area. Unless you’re up for a very Long walk past all the crowds.

We loved our stay here! The community is awesome, and the location couldn’t be better. The rooms were clean and well-organized, and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the setup—nothing was overlooked. The beds were super comfortable, beach towels were provided, and everything felt easy and welcoming. We have three young kids, and they were so comfortable and happy here. We’ll definitely be back!

We’re repeat visitors and our stay this time was just as lovely as the last. The Nest offers a cozy place to hang out, bed down, and base from. We love spending time kayaking the sound and watching for wildlife. Beaches, seafood, and all the Ft.Walton/Destin vacation fun is close by, but the Nest is homey and easily fit our family of four. Very grateful for laundry to wash bathing suits in between beach days!
