Wake up in a rural area with wide views of the fields where cows, sheep, goats and horses are grazing. Where you see hares running, pheasants walking and where you are in the heart of Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar, Volendam, Zaanse Schans or on the beach within half an hour by car or public transport. In the neighborhood, there are cozy restaurants on the water within cycling distance. Beautiful hiking and biking trails or rent a canoe and enjoy the beautiful nature. Suitable for ages 12 and up.

Close to Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Zaandam is a unique piece of Holland: the island "De Woude". Situated in the “Alkmaardermeer” (lake Alkmaar) it is only surrounded by water and can also only be reached by a ferry!! Once you leave the ferry and set your feet on the island you will be captivated by the "island feeling": away from the daily hustle and bustle, everything here has its own special rhythm The cottage is furnished in original 50’s style and has all amenities and a large terrace

Ontspan en kom tot rust in deze vredige, stijlvolle ruimte. Of u nou naar Amsterdam, Haarlem , Alkmaar, Volendam , Texel, het strand, het bos. Dit is de perfecte locatie om het van hieruit te gaan ontdekken. Na een lange dag op pad te zijn geweest kunt u hier prima ontspannen. Relaxstoelen, of op de comfortabele bank. Een ruime moderne badkamer , een grote keuken met voorzien van alle gemakken, en een comfortabel bed. Aan de voorzijde van het appartement treft u ook een gezellige tuin aan.

Relax in the indoor or outdoor pool, cool off in the Ringvaart canal, or explore the area by canoe. No Wi-Fi, but plenty of games, coloring books and a fire pit. A place to really get away for a while! Do take nature into account: insects and spiders are part of this rural setting. Amsterdam-Noord is just a 30-minute drive away.

Sleeping on the water on the Moana

Welcome aboard! From July 2023, the Moana will be available for rent. A cozy 9.5 meter boat on the Alkmaardermeer. Here you can enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful view and the setting sun, after which you will be lulled to sleep and hear the water babbling in the background. PLEASE NOTE: the boat is located on an island which can only be reached by a manually operated ferry. It sails between sunrise and sunset. After this time, you can no longer get on or off the island.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.
