Visit a pristine, undeveloped barrier island just south of Savannah, where you'll find history - both Gullah-Geechee and Native American. Where Sweetgrass baskets are still hand-crafted and you can visit Indian mounds which pre-date the pyramids in Egypt. Enjoy 7 miles of pristine beach where you'll be one of a very, very few on the beach. The home is one hour south of Savannah and 30 minutes to the lovely beaches of Jekyll and Sapelo Islands. This area is certainly a birder's paradise!
