The place was beautiful. It was a bit hard to find but we eventually found it. Everything was clean and even had extras of everything. The view was absolutely perfect and it was a quiet place. The rooms were a bit hot, though.

Shiela’s home near Waynesboro was a lovely little retreat for our family. The home was clean, well stocked and the beds were truly amazing! Shiela even went above and beyond to set up a travel crib for our one year old son. The backyard is also great and our son and dog had a great time running around together. Shiela’s communication was timely, and overall we had a great stay. Five stars. One point I didn’t see on other reviews- this cute little cottage sits right next to a well-used two-lane country highway. Cars go very fast in front of the house, 55mph+, so we just had to get used to that.

The house absolutely perfect! The yard and scenery were both perfect to enjoy quiet time. My children loved the animals and were able to pet the donkeys and the cat. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a country feel and quiet getaway. The house was well stocked with essentials and extremely clean.

We stayed for two nights with our four dogs and had a fairy tale kind of weekend—if your version of a fairy tale includes curious cows and a front row seat to amazingly bright nighttime stars, then you’ll love this place. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfy, the towels and sheets were top-notch, and the bathroom was spotless (a big win in our book). The real magic, though, was the land—lush, private, and peaceful, with just the right amount of cow cameos to keep things interesting. Our pups took a keen (and vocal) interest in the bovine neighbors. We also had the privilege of meeting the host, Derek, in person—he was gracious, kind, and clearly the keeper of this enchanting little pocket of the world. If you’re craving a whimsical escape with wide open space and a touch of rural charm, this place delivers.
