Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Cowichan Lake

We had a wonderful stay! We loved that there are trails accessible by foot from the cabin. (Just walk up the gravel road about 3 minutes.) We discovered that a great morning routine for us was to have coffee, walk through the forest, enjoy the morning light on the ocean, and head back to the cabin for breakfast. Peaceful and relaxing :) Henny is a great host. She shared a ton of wonderful information about places to go and yummy restaurants on the island. The cabin itself is cozy, charming, and quiet. The bed is comfortable, a high priority for me! We also appreciated that we could bring our dog and that she could be off-leash in the grassy area around the cabin.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We loved this amazing view home in Nanaimo. It is comfortable and extremely clean. Brian is a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. He has gone the extra mile to make your stay memorable by having so many extras available for your enjoyment like kayaks, crab traps and even extra shoes! The home has an incredible view and water access that offers a beautiful place to relax each day. We saw orcas, humpbacks, and otters from the deck! My 4 yr old grandson loved watching the ferries and float planes. Nanaimo was so fun. We are planning on coming back and definitely want to stay at this home again.

We had a great stay! It’s the perfect spot for exploring the area and coming home to after a day of outdoor adventures. The hot tub, the big and well-stocked kitchen and lots of space to lounge.

My only comment is that is was very hard to find the place especially in the dark. Google maps took me to a neighbouring house and it was very confusing. That being said I didn’t fully ready the hosts instructions so she may have mentioned that! Wonderful place though, we would definitely stay here again.

Great little get away. Pool was awesome, hot tub was great. Great fenced front yard for the dogs. Back yard was quite big to be able to play with the kids. Very clean and tones of room. Ryan was great to deal with. Will definitely rent again on our next trip down. Thank you

Terry's place was great! We had more than enough room to move around and make meals together as a family. We enjoyed the whole space. Terry was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for the great stay!

This was our second year staying at Jonahs place. We had the best time and can't wait to come back next year!

A sharp modern glass tree house with a butterfly roof surrounded by trees - that makes for a comfortable stay & peaceful positive energy. We very much enjoyed the home and setting. Walls of glass floor to ceiling make it bright & a sense of light energy too. The landscaping is well done so that is nice on the eyes also. On our trip there happened to councide with very early morning & all day heavy machinery construction right next door, even on the Easter holiday. However that does not change my 5 star review. The place itself was excellent. The construction will be temporary + not always heavy machinery. And soon it will end. I just mention this so renters can get more certainty on what will be happening during the days they book. I highly recommend this rental it's a perfect place for 2 people and has a 2nd bed open to the main area that extra family could sleep in. We used that bed in the main room as a cozy place to read. Great master BR giant windows out to trees.

Space was rented for a few employees who were working on the area, it served its purpose!

My third visit to Leo and Lily's incredible house was just as spectacular as the first two! The constantly changing seasonal views are breathtaking, and those sweeping city skyline views from every single window never get old. The place remains exceptionally beautiful, spotless, and delivers a truly luxurious experience. I love how they keep adding fantastic new features - this time, it was a casino game table and some cool Hollywood-style lamps. Seriously, I wish this was my permanent home! Huge thanks to Leo and Lily for being such welcoming hosts. We can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay in the tree house. It's truly unique and a cozy, comfortable, place to stay surrounded by natural beauty. We enjoyed visiting the local farmers market and exploring East Sooke Regoinal Park. I hope to go back!

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. The cottage was great for our family of 5! Equipped with beach towels, toys, and even a mini cooler - this makes beach going easy. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the beds and sofa beds were all comfy! Thanks so much for a great stay!

A fantastic cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting, with great hosts. The cabin has a stunning modern interior with unique and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. The surrounding property and forest are welcoming and serene. The ocean view from both the cabin and hot tub is wonderful. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and effective communicators. Check in was simple and straightforward. I would highly recommend a stay at the cabin for a peaceful getaway.

This place is absolutely adorable. The view is just incredible! Cabin feels so private and relaxing. Host gave us a good dinner recommendation too!

The "cabin" feels brand new--spacious, modern, clean, comfortable with gorgeous views!! The pictures really don't do it justice. Melissa was very proactive and responsive, and the cabin is conveniently located very close to the harbor. The road is shared by cars and pedestrians so even though it was well located we didn't feel comfortable walking. They warn that the driveway is quite steep, and it truly is! Took us awhile to get comfortable parking and while parking is available on the road above the cabin we wouldn't have been able to manage the driveway on foot. Just a note for anyone with any mobility challenges (or fear of heights)!

Shannon’s place is an absolute hidden gem! If you are looking for a serene, tranquil, peaceful location hidden in a forest with tasteful decor and thoughtful touches, this is for you. My husband and I stayed here for part of our 10 year anniversary trip and it did not disappoint. Shannon gave us so many recommendations on things to do and see on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed evening spent at Ruckle park (a short 4 minute drive) where we saw whales and sea lions at sunset. A car is a must, travelling around to various sites would have been a challenge without it. At the cottage, coffee in the hottub was lovely. The outdoor shower is incredible! 10/10 recommend staying at Shannon’s.

Just finished a 2 night stay with my husband and our dog and we had the best time! the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for a home cooked meal the first night. we explored the next day and visited Big Doug. such a cool experience! went down to Botanical Beach then finished the day with dinner at the pub (the fish & chips were so good!). the hottub was such a nice treat at the end of the day too. Jodi and Ian made check in super easy and were always available if we needed anything. can't wait to go back!
