Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cowichan Lake

The place far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we would have needed to not go anywhere the whole time. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking necessities, the kind beds in every room with vaulted ceilings made us feel like the boujee girls we want to be. The views were breathtaking and being able to have all of our meals outdoors with heat and covering made it so memorable. The house came with cars and outdoor games too to use on the nice open yard. It really felt like the place was ours. The icing on the cake was the chairs, wood and starters to make our own little beach fire right below the house and roast marshmallows while watching the sunset. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Definitely coming back!

We had a lovely stay at this 1940s cottage. It is located in an area that provides a lot of privacy. The views from the house and outdoor patio were stunning! We enjoy walking to the little beach and spending alone time there looking for various sea critters. We saw seals swimming in the water from the house. The house is wonderfully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Our messages to Caitlin and Susan were returned quickly and always contained helpful information. We highly recommend this lovely stay on Orca island! Thank you for the unforgettable memories!

Priceless views and amazing architecture are showpieces of this magnificent home that combines coziness, elegance, comfort and rustic charm. We’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this one is a new favorite. It’s an ideal getaway for the whole family; plus it’s close to interesting hikes and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for eating at home. We didn’t enjoy the taste of the well water, but bought drinking water at Tru Value. Carley was very responsive and helpful throughout. We would love to come back in the summer.

Fantastic time here! Private getaway cabin with a unique outdoor sauna made this place extra special. Comfortable beds, and great space. We plan to come again :)

The Piper's Nest was perfect. Clean and well maintained and welcoming. The hosts were responsive and polite, and even though they live on the same property, it truly felt like the Nest was out own, tucked away in a private corner of the forest. Very well designed for relaxation and comfort. Thanks!

What a wonderful spot! Gorgeous views, quiet and serene, a perfect home base to explore the whole island. The kitchen was great for cooking, and we enjoyed several meals on the deck, listening to the birds and taking in the views. Lisa was a great host, and even though her house was nearby, it felt very separate. I highly recommend staying here, and hope to return on future visits to the island!

From initial booking to arrival Angie was very communicative and helpful. The property was better equipped and more luxurious than the vast majority of hotels we’ve stayed in and we were somewhat sorry that we were only there for one overnight stay. A deer and her fawn greeted us on the long driveway up to the property but sadly we didn’t see them again. Had we stayed longer I’m sure we could have made use of the bbq and/or firepit or well equipped kitchen. Angie also supplied a small carton of milk and some home made granola which was great and a nice touch. Can’t comment too much on the area as we weren’t there long enough. Great views from a lovely place and a great host!

Lydia's place was great for us! So clean, had everything we needed, perfect location. She's very easy to reach anytime and a lovely person. As noted by others there is construction nearby and ambulances bc of nearby hospital but it's only in the day and we got pretty used to it. It's one of the nicest places we've stayed so unless you need quiet all day and won't be going out I wouldn't hesitate to book this lovely place.

We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s ! The suite is close to the the Cowichan Valley Trail ( part of the Trans Canada Trail ) which we cycled for 2 days. Also close to town and restaurants and the famous totems of Duncan. Lots of lovely touches and a very comfortable bed . Would highly recommend Jane’s air bnb .

I had a great time staying at the garden suite! Everything was beautiful, private, cozy and clean. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time, the location was great and close to Kitsilano beach and restaurants! Sarah is a great host!

Two words gorgeous views!!! Looked forward to having my cup of coffee on Kelley & Kent’s patio every morning. A very peaceful location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Ganges, but still less than five minute trip into town. Both Kelley & Kent were very welcoming and accommodating to our early check in. Their air bnb had all the amenities you could need to make you feel right at home. Beds were super comfy! I would HIGHLY recommend booking this accommodation, you won’t be disappointed! :) Enjoy!

Our stay in Port Renfrew was a great reset and time of rest before we headed to other adventures on the south end of Vancouver Island. This Airbnb location and host are great -- clean, organized, and with stunning views.

This is a great place to stay to be next to downtown Victoria. It’s as advertised in the listing’s description and photos. There’s plenty of room for a couple and everything is in good condition. Washroom facilities, washer/dryer units, and wifi all worked well. We did not use any of the cooking appliances. The location is walkable to plenty of restaurants/bars in the area. We were comfortable and felt safe walking around at night; we did not have any issues with noise. Agata is a great host! Her instructions made check-in and check-out super easy. She responded within minutes anytime I messaged her. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, especially for couples, if you want to be next to downtown Victoria.

Beautiful condo in a perfect location for our trip. Easy to navigate area, grocery and other necessities nearby. Absolutely peaceful environment and always felt very safe. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Highly recommend.

All the comforts home packaged up into a clever tiny space. We loved everything about this place. Within minutes and even a bike ride from everywhere we wanted to be. We rented bicycles from the nearby Trek store and toured around the coast and dt. Highly recommend! Meals were a mix of eating out at nearby places and cooking in the space. We had everything we needed. Chris was so kind and gave is the perfect amount of attention. We highly recommend this space.

Great host great place

Sophia was a wonderful host and communicated very well. The basement suite is nestled in the woods along a beautiful tree line and creek, tended to with spectacular flowers. The neighborhood is calm, quiet, and private though a bit removed from local amenities (supermarket ~20 min walk with hills, playground ~15 min walk with hills); we called uber/lyft for most things but having a car would have been ideal. The suite was clean, comfortable, and highly functional for our group. The living areas and bedrooms were spacious and there are 2 bathrooms which is a HUGE win. We loved sitting on the back patio on the lounge furniture, underneath their electric heater, listening to the birds and the creek passing by. If there is one con you need to be aware of here, it is the lack of proper kitchen: expect a small mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, water-boiler, keurig, utensils, and cups; we knew about this ahead of time and still felt like we got all our value from our stay.

Super responsive, proactive and accommodating

We had the most amazing stay at Vahid's place! Communication with Vahid was easy, and he always responded quickly. His house is tricky to find, but he sent us detailed driving instructions including photos of the potentially confusing drive, which was greatly helpful. Everything about the house is as described, but the VIEWS! Even seeing the listing online, we still weren't prepared for the jaw dropping views from the house. Just about every room has an amazing view of the water, and there are expansive balconies and terraces to walk around and enjoy the water views from too. The cherry on top was how kind Vahid is. He made us feel very welcome, supplied us with some essentials in the refrigerator, and was very understanding when we thought we had lost our keys! (We eventually found them.) We have nothing but rave reviews about Vahid and his house, and we hope we can make it back to stay again sometime.

A sharp modern glass tree house with a butterfly roof surrounded by trees - that makes for a comfortable stay & peaceful positive energy. We very much enjoyed the home and setting. Walls of glass floor to ceiling make it bright & a sense of light energy too. The landscaping is well done so that is nice on the eyes also. On our trip there happened to councide with very early morning & all day heavy machinery construction right next door, even on the Easter holiday. However that does not change my 5 star review. The place itself was excellent. The construction will be temporary + not always heavy machinery. And soon it will end. I just mention this so renters can get more certainty on what will be happening during the days they book. I highly recommend this rental it's a perfect place for 2 people and has a 2nd bed open to the main area that extra family could sleep in. We used that bed in the main room as a cozy place to read. Great master BR giant windows out to trees.

Alice’s house was beautiful inside! Very thoughtfully decorated, the tatami mats were really cool, and there was tons of space! Would definitely book again!

The place is amazing, and Billy was a great host. Every part of the property and accommodation is great. We especially enjoyed the private river access, sauna, and comfortable, well set up cabin. The space is also super flexible with lots to do, lots of places to hang out, and works for big groups. Finally, we loved how well prepared and clear things were in terms of pre-made fire places, instructions, etc. Great experience and hope to return for sure.

This is an absolutely stunning house with a gorgeous view and perfect location for visiting Salt Spring Island. We were 7 adults and 4 children, here for a weekend and it is well equipped for families. (High chair, cribs, etc.) We were able to walk into town from the house enjoying the Saturday market but the house location is private and pristine. There is a very cottage feeling to the place yet it is also large and elegant as well. A nice mix of experiences. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you could possibly want and the house in general is well supplied with books, games, and activities. It is large enough that you can wander off for some peaceful time on your own while at the same time, the living room and dining room could easily accommodate our numbers as well. We did find some of the furniture, while charming, a bit uncomfortable to sit in and the very firm mattress on the king bed was a bit too much for our aging backs, but that's a plus for some.
