Traditional Mongolian Yurt at Haddon Acre

EmmaRating, 5 stars44 months ago
I loved staying at Haddon Acre - the yurt is set in beautiful surroundings with Wittenham Clumps a short walk away - really lovely to walk there for sunrise and sunset! Remote enough to have a break from the outside world, but close enough to all amenities and travel links to drive to Cotswold's & the Chilterns. Sue was kind enough to bake a cake & provide other breakfast items upon arrival, which I thought was a really nice touch! Haddon Acre will remain as one of my special stays - lovely relaxing energy around the landscape.

Moonacre Yurt

EmmaRating, 5 stars69 months ago
We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

The Teasel Yurt

JuliaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We loved staying at the yurt, the setting was stunning and nice and private. The beds were very warm and comfortable and we fell asleep listening to the owls. The yurt is just a short walk from Selsley Common which has stunning views of the surrounding area.

Woodland cosy Yurt, Wye Valley, Forest of Dean

SamRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you're looking for a weekend away to experience nature, then this is the stay for you. The sound of the birds from the minute you wake up to the minute you go to sleep is tranquil. Every detail was perfectly finished. There are some amazing walks straight from your lodge and we felt completely at home and relaxed. A truly wonderful stay. The host is responsive and left us to enjoy our stay. A big bonus is that it's very welcoming for dogs!

Yurt 3 at Hidden Valley Yurts

RobynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The stay got off to a brilliant start with a trip down across the field and over the stream in the farm buggy with all our luggage. The yurts were really fun & comfy and toasty warm with the wood burner on. The kids loved the swings in the woods and roasting marshmallows over the campfire. Brilliant trip - we will be back!

Luxury Yurt for 2 with private hot tub

RichardRating, 5 stars12 months ago
My first time in a Yurt and it was fabulous. Quirky and interesting facilities including an outside shower which we used! Beautiful surroundings, local pub & restaurant plus not far from lovely places to visit. Warning though - the chickens are free roaming so not a good place to allow a dog off the lead if not ok with chickens!! Hosts friendly and caring

Stunning and secluded yurt stay

SimonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Such a beautiful tranquil setting with gorgeous lovely yurts all hand crafted by the amazing Vidar. It is a place to truly escape and be in nature with the stream, woods and fields all in the immediate environs. The yurts with their wood burning stoves are super warm and comfortable. The site already has butterflies in April! It has incredible walks that can all be found direct from the site. Its super eco ethos will totally appeal to green energy and mindful earth friendly people in every way and we can’t wait to come back.

Yurt 4 at Hidden Valley Yurts

RachelRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had the best few days in our Yurt at Hidden Valley Yurts. Mike was an excellent host, always on the end of the phone if we needed a little help (might have got a little lost on the way!). He helped us with our luggage when we arrived and when we left. We had everything we needed and particularly liked having our own bathroom facilities just for our little family. The shared kitchen and other spaces were lovely and clean and tidy and ample room for everyone staying. The yurt was beautiful and being in the centre of the beautiful countryside was just wonderful. My little girls loved it. We will definitely be going back!

Unique timber yurt, stunning views and use of pool

Chris Rating, 5 stars3 months ago
My life is transformed. Never would I ever of believed that a round wooden cabin would fill my heart with so much warmth and gratitude. The optical illusion, the miniature door, the abundance of blankets and fluffy rugs, the walk to the toilet that made me appreciate the Yurt even more; this Yurt is beyond words existing in the farthest galaxy of cosmic madness. Yurt really is love and Yurt really is life. Thank you ✨️

Art deco Yurt & private bathroom

CathrynRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We really enjoyed our stay here - we stayed with our 7 month old. Nicola provided a great travel cot for us. Luckily our baby wasn't crawling yet and was happy to stay in the travel cot to play, it would have been a bit more difficult if he had been on the move - although Nicola was very flexible and said there were other options if we felt the deck outside was unsafe for him. The yurt was beautiful and the hot tub lovely - it had been prepared for us ahead of our arrival so we were able to get in straight away! Breakfast was huge and delicious and you can cook it on the wood burner in your yurt. We would highly recommend staying here and we do hope to go back one day!

Beautifully furnished yurt sited within 20 acres

AndreaRating, 5 stars35 months ago
A delightful, quirky rural escape with plenty of Somerset’s attractions on your doorstep. A few suggestions for your stay: Embrace being woken at dawn by the birdsong. (Or bring an eye mask and ear plugs). The day’s sun will keep the yurt toastie, but you’ll probably need the fire of the evening. My escapes don’t involve me cooking, but if you want to, you may need a few extras eg forks, chopping board, seasonings and enough imagination to work your magic with a two-ring gas burner and a kettle. There’s plenty of nearby pubs, we enjoyed the Oakhill Inn. There’s a little bit of a walk/dash to the facilities block, I’d suggest a dressing gown and an umbrella. And finally, no need to worry about bad weather; we survived an incredible thunderstorm and lightning and everything was good. In all a lovely alternative stay, we adored the location and the work that’s gone in to making this an environmentally-friendly wildlife spot.

Big Apple Yurt -with hot tub

RumerRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We had such an amazing stay, the hosts were so good to us. We booked a yurt for my partners birthday, with our 6 month old baby and our dog. The yurt was too cold so the hosts upgraded us to one of the cabins. I would highly recommend staying here. The place is stunning and the hosts exceeding our expectations. 10/10.

Mongolian inspired yurt in beautiful setting

JennyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had a very relaxing weekend in the Mongolian yurt. Less than an hours walk to lovely local pub. The site is well thought out and having our own bathroom with towels and toiletries and shared use of a kitchen space, again with everything provided, made for an easy quick getaway with minimal planning. Waking up in the field and having a cup of tea outside in the sun was very restoring!
