Holiday rentals with beach access in Cook County

Harbor Studio at Northern Goods was the perfect home base for my travels in and around Grand Marais.... Central location made for quick access to shops and restaurants in town. Also, offered proximity to countless adventures in Superior National Forest, Grand Portage, and other Cook County gems.... Lake-facing windows with background sound of waves made even downtime feel like a treasured experience on special Grand Marais holiday.

It was a wonderful experience and I am so glad that we were able to stay here! A great getaway and the view was incredible! Very comfortable and very nice hosts! Thank you!!

Beautiful spot in GM - watched the lake from the picture window overlooking the bay. Very walkable to great food and shopping and a great home base force hikes, bikes, and adventures …also enjoyed the lawn furniture in the shade of pretty tree. I loved every minute of my 2 week stay.

Mitch and Kevin were excellent hosts. Perfect location for everything Grand Marais has to offer. The shared kitchen and living space was very cozy and the other group staying were friendly and respectful. Beds were comfortable, and they provided a dog bed for my pup that he loved! The only watch out is the seagulls. There was one nesting on the roof of the building that dive-bombed me and my dog a few times when we stepped outside. This is apparently a common thing in Grand Marais so would likely happen anywhere, but good to be aware of! Would absolutely stay again!

This incredibly comfortable and clean house was easy to locate and check in to. We loved relaxing on the deck and in the living room enjoying stunning views of Lake Superior. Thank you for having us, we hope to come back again!

This was our second time at Deidra’s Tofte home, and if possible - it was even more magical than our first time. Not only is she an amazing host - we basically planned our itinerary around all her wonderful recommendations - but this house is just a gem on the north shore. Well stocked, better than photos, and pristine views of the lake each day. We’ll be back again and again 😊

This house is in Hovland on the North Shore (relatively close to the Canadian border), and the view from the house of Lake Superior is breathtaking. You can just sit there and enjoy it. The home is well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning fireplace (it made an especially lovely aroma in the house). We also liked the charming river bordering the property, it's literally a small river going through which gives more feelings of wilderness. Easy access to Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Grand Portage, and also to abundant hiking trails, which we really enjoyed.

Carrie was a great host! She was easy to communicate with and very kind! Her home was also even more beautiful than the pictures, if that’s even possible. As a large group we had plenty of space, and her home was stocked to meet our needs.

Our stay at Agua Norte was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Loft and loved the space. It’s exactly as described and the property is even more beautiful than the pictures. So close to the town and other great things to do but feels very private and secluded. It is a shared property but still feels private with each space. We loved it so much we didn’t even do all the adventuring we planned because we just loved being there! The Sauna was also wonderful, easy to book, and had a stunning view. We would absolutely come back!

We had a wonderful stay. The end unit is great for a beautiful view! The location is amazing to Ski in/Ski out! Very cozy with the fireplace. Love the large deck. Jesse and Dean were very helpful and quick to respond with my questions. Thank you for allowing my furry kids to join us!! It was really fun!!!!

Very beautiful and comfortable place and setting. Near to Grand Marais but removed from the city. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Kitchen was well equipped. Host had recommendations that were helpful. We explored East and West from Grand Marias so it was a good location for us. We were all pleased and would stay again. Worth the 8 hour drive. Thank you. Everything was perfect! Beautiful setting. Clean accommodations. Clear and helpful instructions in the apartment. Friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend!

On both nights of the stay, host reached out to let us know if we stepped outside we may be able to see the northern lights. Before the stay, had several lists of recommendations and things to do in the area. Quick response time and very friendly. The condo is in a beautiful, serene location that is perfect to escape to.

We felt right at home in this lovely apartment. The location was perfect for walking anywhere in Grand Marais and a comfortable place to rest and recharge after hiking. The view of the harbor is beautiful. I didn’t want to leave. The unit is sunny and bright we hardly needed to use any lights until the sun went down. In fact the unit has so much natural light you may want to bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in. Thank you Linda for providing such a perfect spot. We hope to return someday soon.

What a beautiful condo with spectacular views of the lake. Quiet and secluded. It was full of charm!

I've stayed at Croftville Road Cottages twice now and it has been great! The location and amenities are perfect for a North Shore getaway - close to Grand Marais and tons of hiking and nature. The hosts were quick and easy to communicate with. I'll definitely be back!

Our family of 4 stayed here for a long weekend. The condo was perfect for our family, with a private room for us and a loft with two twins for our boys. It was in a great location close to numerous hikes and Grand Marais. The view to Lake Superior was very nice, and we walked down to the shoreline to watch the waves and even saw trout and salmon going upstream poplar River.
