Mark & Elissa's Island Retreat is truly special. A short distance from Savannah's old town charm and Tybee Island's clean, sandy beaches, the space is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and makes for a perfect homebase for outings. The amenities provided are top-rated, the space is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, and clear instructions are provided to make one's stay flawless. The bed is gloriously comfortable. Mark is a caring, friendly, responsive host who greeted and welcomed us upon our arrival and offered many suggestions for places to visit and eat; also, he answered messages promptly. The Island Retreat is one of the best airbnb spaces in which I've stayed, and I will always check its availability when visiting the area. An absolute five-star place to stay!

Just what I needed for a stay in Savannah- clean, very quiet and convenient. There’s plenty of room, a full size kitchen, two bedrooms & two baths, a brand new washer dryer, and all well stocked with paper products, laundry items, coffee, etc. Never heard a sound the whole time I was there, very peaceful & quiet.

Fantastic spot for our brief stopover in Savannah. The house has everything we need - comfy beds, hot water for the shower, easy parking — and quick access to Tybee Island for a sunrise visit. Beautiful! The house is lovely and comfortable with a decorator’s touch — and the friendliness and good humour of our hosts is clear throughout in the welcome book, on the suggestive coasters, and with their smiling faces in photos on the wall. We felt right at home!

I loved the park at the end of the street and the dog park for Bailey our pup was great. Quiet neighborhood and I felt safe walking the dog even early morning.
