Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Clayton County

Our group of 8 adults felt so welcome and comfortable in this space. Flexible check in and out. Beautiful view and all the supplies we needed. Beds very comfy and couches too. Any question we had answered quickly. Eggs and extra kitchen staples were so sweet and helpful. We had plenty of space to eat,relax and enjoy our weekend in the area. We enjoyed trains, boats, barges, bird, played bags Sunday by the tracks. Recommendations for restaurants in town good too!

This is my second stay at this property. Love the location and property. House is clean and everything you need for a great get away. We even caught some fish off the beach. The host are very nice and communicate well.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay. We are retired and looked forward to a restful vacation in a comfortable place…and that’s what we got. Comfortable beds, clean, well-stocked kitchen and easy to walk around town. Pikes Peak is a beautiful park with many walking trails and spectacular views. We look forward to a return visit.

This place was amazing! The view was terrific! The place was so spacious and clean and very comfortable! Would choose to stay here again and again!

Our first AirBnB stay at another location had to unexpectedly cancel three days before our stay due to an unavoidable, and unplanned emergency at the home. AirBnB helped us find a second stay, and we had already earmarked this place for a future stay. Kim was immediately responsive to both AirBnB and us about getting her home booked, and she even went out of her way to get a Pack & Play out of her storage for our infant grandchild when she learned we would have an infant with us. Her home is immaculate, & she was highly responsive when we communicated back & forth to help gather details as everything was so last-minute due to our circumstances. We can’t wait to go back for another stay!

From the second we walked into R lodge we felt right at home. It has all the amenities, the hot tub is amazing. Everything in town is adorable and easy to walk to. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

What an absolutely gorgeous apartment. We fell in love the moment we walked through the door. Be aware: there are a LOT of stairs. It is mentioned in the listing but my husband and I swore the stairs multiplied and grew steeper each time we went upstairs. This is NOT a complaint. It's something to be aware of. The view from the porch is extraordinarily beautiful. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable (especially the King sized one downstairs). The whole place was AMAZINGLY clean. The town folks are VERY friendly and nice. The town does close everything down pretty early and there are no nearby big box stores or drugstores that are open late. Again, not a complaint (I actually love the Mom and Pop aspect) but people should know. We loved this Airbnb so much we are already planning a return trip!

Just like during my first visit, Cindy’s house was perfect with a location on the river that is stunning and easy walks to shops and restaurants. This time ‘round my wife was with me and she loved the house, too. It was very comfortable, quiet and well equipped with everything we needed. We highly recommend Cindy’s place.

Very cute and great location! We were there to visit friends and attend Mud and Music-it worked wonderfully. It’s close to everything-brewery, river walk, Joes. etc Would stay here again-thanks

The apartment had everything we needed, and was comfortable, clean, and close to the hiking trails we wanted to visit. Great host, who was responsive and thoughtful. Would stay again.

Mandi’s place is ideal for a couple or a small family or two couples. Plenty of room, two bathrooms with tub and shower. Kitchen that is very functional for eating in. Nice deck to watch the boats and people enjoy the Mississippi, a nice yard, privacy if you want it. Also, Mandy and her business partner are very gracious, approachable hosts. We came once, just my husband and I and then again with our son, daughter in law and their two toddlers and it was lovely both times.

Dawn is an excellent host. Her place is spacious, very clean with a full kitchen and full-sized washer and dryer. The bed (I slept in one—was there solo) was very comfortable. The living room space has two comfortable recliners with a TV and good reading light. I was in Elkader for a family funeral and would definitely book with Dawn again.
