Great location in a neat little community. Overall, the house is homey feeling and has everything you need to make feel right at home.

My stay here was wonderful! My kids felt at ease immediately and enjoyed the open space! Everything about the home showed detail for comfort and a homelike feel. We enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and comfortable couches for movie nights! The stay was perfect for my college graduation and wasn’t far from Upper Iowa University! Host were responsive and very helpful when needed. We had more than enough bedding and towels. Loved the kitchen and how it had everything you could need and more! We didn’t use the basement but it was beautiful and spacious! Great stay for a family trip with plenty of room. Host left recommendations, that was a plus!

A great view from the deck and peaceful. A nice location close to town but far enough away you feel secluded. We saw several deer on the property and tugboats go down the river from the deck. The home is older, clean and has everything you would need for a getaway. We had a great time visiting Effigy Mounds, Wyalusing State Park and Pikes Peak State Park all in close driving distance.

Stayed here about a year ago and came back a second time because we liked it so much! Absolutely gorgeous views from the backyard, and the house has lots of space.

This place was perfect for getting a large group of friends together. There was a bed and dining room seating for everyone and we got plenty of use out of the firepit and even the water slide even though it was chilly. The location is great, right on the Mississippi and only an hour from Dubuque and Prairie Du Chen. Cassville, just a short jaunt down the road, has all the basics you could need and the state park nearby has awesome views from the bluffs. On top of all that Jennifer was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond, accommodating, and has bunches of recommendations for the area. Overall it was great stay.

The house is beautiful with a fantastic bluff view sunrise overlooking the river. Kitchen was well stocked and clean. Very quiet and peaceful area. Short drives to several parks with plentiful hiking trails. Loved the game room with big screen TV for some nice relaxing time after long hikes. Everything about this place was Wonderful! 😍

Spacious accommodations in a beautiful wooded area near the river. The third floor game and movie room was the perfect hangout with comfortable seating and beautiful views. First floor kitchen and eating area was plenty large to accommodate our whole family without being crowded. And the Christmas decor and holiday dishes were perfect for our family Christmas! The house was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, games, movies, bedding, towels, and plenty of parking. We will definitely be back!

Mandi’s place is ideal for a couple or a small family or two couples. Plenty of room, two bathrooms with tub and shower. Kitchen that is very functional for eating in. Nice deck to watch the boats and people enjoy the Mississippi, a nice yard, privacy if you want it. Also, Mandy and her business partner are very gracious, approachable hosts. We came once, just my husband and I and then again with our son, daughter in law and their two toddlers and it was lovely both times.

This is a gem of a property - the view of the Mississippi and lock from the terrace is the best in town. The penthouse suite is open and grand. This is our second time staying here, and we love it. Dave was easy to communicate with, helpful and flexible.

Dawn is an excellent host. Her place is spacious, very clean with a full kitchen and full-sized washer and dryer. The bed (I slept in one—was there solo) was very comfortable. The living room space has two comfortable recliners with a TV and good reading light. I was in Elkader for a family funeral and would definitely book with Dawn again.

Lisa's home is beautiful! Spectacular views! We met friends for an overnight stay. Lisa's place had everything we needed, we spent 90 percent of our time outdoors enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return for our annual get together. Thank you Lisa for an incredible experience!
