Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chastreix

What a lovely old house , in a tiny peaceful village. We couldn't have had a nicer stop over on our trip from Portugal to Switzerland, and I enjoyed my birthday lazing and playing in the garden. The furnishings and kitchen are not modern, but the house is full of style and charm. Although early June, the house was cool at night and we used the amazing log burner. We were there on Whitsun Monday, and a lot of local shops and restaurants closed early, but we had a trip to the old hill top village of Usson, and bought the best ever chicken from a rotisserie in the nearby village. We didn't meet Sonia, but communication with her was very good and friendly.

Beautiful places! The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the calm and nature are there. An ideal place to go green and go hiking from the accommodation.

The Aksent cottage is a small traditional gem, renovated with excellent taste. The equipment necessary for a perfect stay is there, we were even able to enjoy rhododendrons in bloom in the garden. Very, very nice place!

Wonderful place and friendly host. If you want to stay in a peaceful and cozy place, thats the perfect choice!

We had a great time at Véronique's place! The setting is very nice and the house comfortable, we will happily return to continue discovering the area. We recommend eyes a second thought!

What a joy to spend these few days in Thomas and Anaïs' house, after a nice welcome from her mom!! Everything is of quality, very cosy (we felt at home), and impeccably clean! The view is to fall. A beautiful lake is right next door, and there is no shortage of hiking trails. La Bourboule and Mont Dore are just a few minutes away, there are very good restaurants :-) A real treat to unwind in this little corner of paradise. Frankly, it was a favourite for us, and we will come back for sure. A big thank you.

Warm welcome from our hosts and very comfortable house of character in a small village with an excellent restaurant and a well-stocked bakery. Several beautiful hikes around also. In short, I recommend this accommodation without worries.

Carole is a dedicated, responsive and very friendly host! She is committed to doing well. Listing is as described. Perfect for a family with small children. No hassle or Tetris to load the car because all the equipment is on site, in addition to games and toys. We had a good stay despite a reservation made the night before. We keep the address in our favourites 🤩

We had a pleasant stay at Guillaume's. The apartment is very nicely decorated, very well equipped, very comfortable. Guillaume was always available and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation refurbished and fully customizable. Close to the hyper centre, a few metres from bars and restaurants. The spa was great, the shower very nice and the services really perfect (Netflix, breakfast, towels and bathrobes, shower gel, coffee...) We will come back and enjoy the other services at an extra cost. Thanks

David's apartment was perfect for the 3 nights we spent there. Spacious, bright, it even offers a very pleasant balcony in the morning. The value for money is great.

We enjoyed the apartment very much. The living space has plenty of room. From the window, you have a beautiful view of the trees and old fountains. Bakeries and supermarket are a 5-minute drive away. There are beautiful hikes to the volcanoes.

We spent an unforgettable long weekend in this cottage on the occasion of a cousinade. The place is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was perfect for our whole group, couples and families with children :) The view of nature is breathtaking, and the large garden allowed us to fully enjoy every moment: swimming in the pool, meals on the terrace, evenings around the brazier... everything was there for an ideal stay! Finally, a huge thank you to Virginie, warm, available and caring, who with her family, largely contributed to the beautiful atmosphere of our stay! A place we recommend with our eyes closed and where we would happily return!

Everything was as announced, Julia gave clear advises how to reach, to enter etc. etc, During our stay it was (unexepected) very cold outside but the heating was excellent, the wood fired oven was heating greatly. Our dog loved the garden. Julia even prepared a sheet for the dog etc. Location is good to reach many places in Auvergne, Murol castle also just a few minutes to walk and the lake is also very close. Summary: Nice house, nicely equipped, everything available what needed. Super quiet surrounding / area around. Julia is a great host. (When we arrived there were flowers on the table, pick up and arranged by her daughter)

We felt very comfortable from the first moment. The house and the surroundings are exactly as in the pictures and in the description. Everything is very clean and the decor is very stylish. Carine is absolutely lovely and very helpful. If you are looking for relaxation, this house is the place to be. Highly recommended.

Extraordinary. I celebrated my 40th birthday in this castle, we were 12 adults and 12 children. Impeccable layout of the rooms, clean and in place linen, safe and very pleasant outdoor environment. Don't hesitate.

A weekend of racing in the Puys mountain range with 8 friends in this accommodation! Everything was great! Everything to enjoy and plenty of activities within walking distance (hiking, tree climbing, golf, Charade circuit) and easily accessible by car (Puy de Dôme, Pariou, Clermont Ferrand)! Highly recommended!

Very pleasant weekend in Christophe's accommodation, which is very well equipped and close to Château des Martinanches, where we had a wedding ceremony. The pedestrian path to get there was not maintained. Thank you so much for hosting us.
