Cottage holiday rentals in Central America

My friend and I really appreciated Ana Maria's hospitality and her family's gorgeous home. We loved the special personal touches including the jungle of house plants and well-stocked library with board games and books. Having the fireplace stocked with wood made it possible to have the perfect ambiance for reading in front of the fire on a misty afternoon! We found it helpful to have earplugs at night, as the home is close to a transit road, and earplugs did the trick to help us sleep soundly.

a very nice and quiet place. with many public spaces and quiet had an amazing view when you walk out of the cabin. the lack of outside lights during the night especially during check-in made it somewhat difficult. was a little dusty and with cobwebs. the use of the facilities was somewhat complicated in jacuzzi it was empty and turned off in sauna the same and the equipment to make kayac was all under key every time I think q not making a reservation directly with the accommodation it feels like we are not so important to give us that part of the service.

The area is quite quiet and there are several markets nearby in case you forget something and it is not far from the coronado supermarkets anyway. The beach is almost in front of the house so you can go at any time of day. The house had everything you need for cooking and very nice. The atmosphere that has both day and night is nice.

Great stay 15mins drive from La Fortuna. The balcony overlooking the plantation was just spectacular. The room was cozy, as described and Grace made amazing breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!

The place, the perfect climate, the house loved my experience at home Maria was very well enjoyed and taken advantage of. As soon as I get the chance I'll be back The host is very careful with the details and attentive. They should come to know when they want to enjoy nature, peace and an open space.

This property was spectacular ! The details of the house made our stay an experience . John was always available to answer our questions. The view from the terrace was amazing and very calming, the house had everything that we needed and more. I can’t wait to go back and recharge my soul. Fully recommended!

The house is so airy and spacious. You are submersed in nature with the birds and it is so amazing to see the beautiful macaw that lives in the tree out front just hanging out while we have coffee. I think the road has recently been upgraded with asphalt. I didn't need a 4X4 to get there. The house was stocked with everything we needed and very clean.

Once you find the place it’s easy to get to it again. Since addresses are a bit not a thing here it is frustrating but the host was helpful and make sure you use Waze

Great place to stay with easy walkable access to a lovely beach. Comfortable and lovely surroundings. Very friendly communicative host and very responsive. Close by to all restaurants, shops etc.

My goodness, such a wonderful stay and we even met THE fabulous Alma! Really close to restaurants and town, direct access to the river, lots of plants on the property. Squeaky clean and impressive home. The host were very kind, showed us around and even left fruits. We literally needed nothing- soap, shampoo, conditioner and everything was there. Host were knowledgeable of local things to do and the book in the house was very helpful for recommendations. The aroma of the limes on the lime tree, and the ginger plants on the property smelled soooo good. 100% will return on my next trip!

We were looking for a place to disconnect from the city and that's what we achieved in Efraín's cabin! It has everything you need to be able to spend a good weekend of disconnection, and not only that, but Efraín was also very kind and attentive to us at all times. We would definitely come back!

We loved it! As shown in the photos, very organized, clean! Green areas with excellent maintenance! We really enjoyed the space to disconnect!

Beautiful location, very close to a bunch of good hiked nearby! Very peaceful stay, loved sitting on the back deck looking at the stars and listening to nature at night.

Our family agrees, our stay here was the best vacation we have ever had. The cottage was peaceful and clean and had everything we needed. We made plenty of ‘carne asada’ on the grill and swam in the lake a few times. The local people at both the Yacht club and in San Lucas Toliman were amazing. We recommend going to the market on a Sunday. It’s authentic and not geared as much toward tourism. We highly recommend staying here. You can sit on the porch and watch the lake.

This was the third and last air bnb of the stay and the view was absolutely breathtaking!!! We have dinner and breakfast prepared on site, which was delicious. The villas are lovely and just enough space. We also can literally hearing all the howler monkey from a far but it was so cool! They also have a large property with trails for you to walk. Loved our stay, loved the villa and can’t wait to share it with my friends!! Highly recommend!!

The cottage is very comfortable and the views from the porch are amazing! April was very friendly and easy to talk to. The location is quiet and is centrally located for discovering the area around. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

We absolutely loved our time at Estela’s place! Everything about the experience was wonderful from the breathtaking views of the lake to the comfort and cleanliness of the home. The property was exactly as described, and it offered the perfect balance of peace and natural beauty. Waking up to the serene waters of Coatepeque made every moment feel special. Loved the space! Loved how so much is outdoors - cooking outside, reading outside, just watching the birds outside. Plenty of space and everything you need to be comfortable. The bedroom is spacious and cool with the fan running. The bathroom is also large and I loved the outdoor feel of the shower. Nature is right there in your face - monkeys, toucans, raccoons, agoutis, geckos, frogs, and bugs. If you want to feel like you’re living outside in nature, this is your place. It’s also a great location that is private and very close to Cocles beach. Walkable to Puerto Viejo. I highly recommend the unit.

Absolutely fantastic. The plunge pool exceeded expectations and was very well kept. We found out later in our trip how amazing that shady paradise really was. The dock was a great place to sit and lookout over the ocean for coffee.. for drinks.. for reading- it was incredible. The location, as described, is a little bit north of the main Placencia village, but there were still a few places to walk to and get a nice meal. Otherwise you'd have to rent or taxi to town and then walk around. Most communication for taxis and such were done over Whats App which was really convenient with lots of wifi available around town at the bars/restaurants. Everything was as described. We would definitely come back.

Sergio was friendly and his place was a retreat in paradise! He communicated better than any other host we’ve had. We loved the view and the hanging chair. It’s not far from Monteverde and closer to El Tigre.
