Holiday rentals with a patio in Cayton Bay

This was perfect for our short stay in York. Very close to the train station and to walk into town. Supermarket next door. Apartment itself was lovely.

What a find! Absolutely perfect for our three night stay in York. Secure parking with EV charging and we didn’t use the car at all once we’d arrived. 45 minute pleasant walk to the centre or bus stop literally right outside the door. Also got an Uber back after a night out and was less than £8. There are local pubs and shops within a few minutes walk too. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, absolutely spotless, with comfy bed and good quality bedding. Carolyn is an excellent host, great local info and perfect level of communication…providing all the information and responsive to messages but also left us in peace :)

This is a really beautiful property! Although one has to deal with many steps, the beauty and peacefulness and quiet are really worth it. It is comfortable, well equipped, and quiet, with a really charming balcony to sit on – a lovely view of the Abbey. Very easy access to town, beaches, et cetera. The host was helpful, and answered our queries fully and promptly. We would certainly recommend it.

Catherine is the ideal relaxed host. (and a baking angel, thank you, Catherine!) The apartment was large, bigger than we expected, and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal for our weeks stay, lovely peaceful surroundings, but easy drive to a great shopping centre with good park & ride into York, also 1 hour access to Whitby, Harrogate (Harlow Carr), Rievaulx and Fountains.

This is our second stay at low tide, stayed in 2023 and it was as beautiful as it was then! Super clean, gorgeous decor, great little courtyard and lovely little touches for the doggy (dog bowls, blanket)! Hosts were very quick to respond to any messages! Great location, 2 mins to the beach, private parking you coudnt ask for anymore! Will be back again 100%

Set just off the road to the north side and a short walk to the castle, is a lovely flat with everything you need for a vacation in Scarborough. It was comfortable and clean with amenities and essentials required for your stay. Clear instructions and a manual provided gave me a hassle free holiday. My son enjoyed using the small desk just at the side of the kitchen to practise his timetables. The bedroom is on the lower floor which meant it was quiet and without windows and light coming in I wasn't disturbed so enjoyed laying in to rest! A lovely flat with responsive hosts.

Had a great few days. Scarborough still has that strong heartbeat of a British coastal town and what Debbie has done with her townhouse is credit to the community. we hope to return again very soon.

The House was perfect for our stay very clean and great beds nice tidy enclosed garden which was great for our cockerpoo highly recommend

A beautiful , wonderfully decorated house just a 20 min walk to the centre of York . Spotlessly clean and tidy and hosts went to the effort of adding an “ anniversary banner and balloons “ for us which was a lovely touch ( as well as Prosecco and sweet treats ) Hosts were fantastic and very responsive to our messages , we had a fantastic stay . Lovely collection of cottages, comfy and clean inside , exceptionally tidy grounds. Courtyard seating area was so pretty. Well equipped. Good parking. Great location for Bempton Cliffs & Bridlington .

Great little place to stay. Comfy beds, peaceful surroundings, and David is a lovely host. The house is a really good example of a historic building which has been converted with imagination, style and class. It was really fun to learn about its previous uses from the books provided. Everything in the village is walkable, and they do good fish and chips at the Cod & Lobster.

We had a peaceful few days at Liz and Nick’s cottage. It was spotlessly clean and extremely peaceful, being set in the most beautiful surroundings. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the home-baked cookies were delicious! Liz’s communication was excellent and she was very accommodating when we needed to change the days of our stay slightly. We would definitely recommend it to others.

Really enjoyed our stay. Sandsend is a better choice for us than Whitby as it’s quiet, has a lovely beach and has great variety for places to eat out. Accommodation is great and all restaurants are easily walkable. Great place for dogs as the back garden is fully enclosed. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Silvia made our stay absolutely wonderful. She was very informative from the start. The home was very well maintained, clean and very tidy. We celebrated our anniversary during our stay and the personal added touches made a great start to our weekend away. Very thoughtful! The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The manual was very helpful and listed everything we needed to know about local amenities, aswel as having leaflets on what York had to offer. Would million percent recommend this host and there beautiful home. The home was in a good location and also offered parking. Check in and out was very easy and we had a very lovely time in York thanks to the amazing hosting of Silvia. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. Absolutely lovely little place to stay. Not far at all to walk into the centre. 15 mins and lots to see on the way. It was very clean, comfortable Would definitely recommend this Thanks Jonathan

Sule provided us with tonnes of information, with places to see and things to do. Check in was easy. The location is perfect and the walk along the river into town was wonderful. The flat was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. We'll definitely go back next year. 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance. Stayed here with a friend Friday-Monday and will definitely be returning! The location is about a 4 minute walk from the centre and is in a great location about 2 minutes walk from the beach. The apartment was absolutely spotless and had everything and more what we needed! It is in a nice, peaceful area where we felt safe and at home. This place is perfect for couples, families and friends. I have absolutely no criticism it was perfect!

First time at Max's Hideaway. Val was a very flexible, proactive and responsive host. The apartment was just as described and as shown in the photos. Spotlessly clean and everything you could wish to have on hand and more. Val also provided a few welcome extras (tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, wine etc) so on arrival we weren't needing to dash straight out to do last minute shopping. Really comfortable stay. As a non-pet owner I'm always slightly apprehensive about staying somewhere that allows dogs but the apartment was spotlessly clean and felt like a home from home. Ideally located on the West Cliff a 5 minute walk from local cafes and restaurants, with a wonderful view of the abbey from the front window and a dedicated parking space (a very rare thing in Whitby!) Will definitely be booking to stay here again.

Outstanding! For two travellers Eleanor's quiet haven in York is a gem. Location is ideal being easy walking to/from the hubbub of central York with an elegant setting in leafy quiet retreat after our busy days within the city walls. Furnished tastefully with a period feel, though modern in layout and fit out. Attention to detail with everything awaiting our stay was exceptional.

We had a great stay and would highly recommend The Loft. The apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has everything you need including tea and coffee. The bottle of fizz in the fridge was much appreciated! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink, relaxing with a beautiful view of the Minster. The location was perfect - very centrally located and just a short walk to the Minster. The parking space was a bit tight for a big car but manageable, and definitely good to have with parking being at a premium in York. The hosts were so helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely visit again!
