Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Castle Cary

It was the perfect place for our young family and dog. Lots of space and peace and quietly whilst being close to the Jurassic Coast. Andrea was a fabulous host, very friendly and happy to help at all times. Highly recommend and we will be returning.

We had a fantastic time at Brookside Farm - Swallow's Return was even nicer than we'd been expecting, with stunning views across the Dorset countryside and everything we needed for a few days of rest. The place was easy to find with the directions provided and we were given a very warm and friendly welcome by Charlotte, Jonni, Stanley and Maurice. They left plenty of local tips and suggestions for us in the apartment, which we made use of. The highlights for us were being given the chance to feed and learn more about their beautiful alpacas, eating out on the terrace in the evening at sunset and enjoying the sound of the brook that runs along the bottom of the farm. If you're looking to disconnect for a few days in a beautiful place surrounded by nature, we'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Lovely little cottage. Was very quiet and private. Had everything you needed. Great base for exploring Sherborne and surrounding areas.

We had an amazing 50th birthday party at Sophie’s house. This is a gorgeously characterful property with the most amazing gardens, 15 mins walk into Glasto and 10 mins to the torr. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook. We had an early check in and late checkout for no extra cost and communication was brilliant throughout.

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn to celebrate two special family birthdays. It was even better than the photos, which is not always the case, and provided an extremely comfortable and open space to relax in, and great outdoor area. It definitely had the 'wow factor' for us and we couldn't believe our luck when we arrived. Really nicely furnished and a very well equipped kitchen, along with three immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms. Having a separate TV room was a bonus and made made the main area much more sociable. Charlie and Ali were friendly and helpful during our stay. We all had a great time, and so did Wilf (the dog), and can absolutely recommend staying here. We would love to visit again at some point in the future. Thanks very much for a happy and memorable stay.

We fell in love with the house , location and facilities as soon as we arrived. It had everything we needed , the children loved it , from playing tennis, skittles to bar football and stories by the wood burner before bed. Everything was there for us, a separate table in the games room for arts and crafts and games to lovely comfortable furniture outside looking across to the sheep , the children loved the opportunity to be able to walk around the field with the sheep, with one of them saying "this is the best holiday ever" and another saying " this is the best day of my whole life". My friends and I enjoyed our beautiful and quiet girls weekend away. The lodge is exactly how it’s described and looked like the pictures, very comfortable and clean stay, the hot tub is incredible. On a cloudless night you can sit back in the tub and see how clear the stars are. Lisa is a wonderful host who greeted us when we arrived to show us how to use the hot tub and gave some locations to visit. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, away from the everyday hustle and bustle of city life, recharge your energy, you need a stay here. We visited Wincanton, Sherborne and Glastonbury during our two night stay. An absolute gem of a find, friends and I would love to book again next year for a few more days, absolutely breathtaking scenery for an amazing price.

Had a wonderful stay. Very spacious. Private. Felt right at home. Lovely massive bed in the main bedroom pillows and duvet also comfortable. Didn't use the 2 single beds but also a lovely room. The cottage just felt like it had a lovely atmosphere. You can leave the door open and windows without feeling like you have to have the door shut. Did Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole and Weston-super-Mare. Went to the Langford Inn and the Railway Inn plus in Cheddar had a lovely Indian at Rasoi and Milkshakes at Lion Rock Tea room. Jodie and Angus were helpful and friendly :-) Next time will definitely use the hot tub!

We had a lovely week at Alpine Grove touring park. Clear communication from Keith. The space was very clean and had all facilities needed for our stay. Our toddler also really enjoyed the swimming pool! Would definitely stay again. Loved it

Wow wow wow! Headland hideaway is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous, Mike was amazing!!! Messaged every day to check all is okay, send photos of the signpost where to turn and exactly where to park etc. his food recommendation were helpful and stop on! Tried lots and all were amazing! The pool was the biggest hit and we were so lucky when we stayed we had amazing weather! Everything was spotless and modern, loved the remote control curtains! A fabulous half term dreamy weekend! Thank you so much Mike! It was an absolute pleasure!

We got to the Wales Retreat and from the moment we walked in we flet so at home with the cosy features. The property smelt beautiful all throughout. Everything was spotless and even the fridge was equipped with essentials which was greatly recieved. The loaction is absolutely beautiful and I was in love with our own secluded private decking area with the most comfiest beanbag seats! Pet friendly which was a bonus for our GSP - she loved having a little area outside of her own and tje site was very welcoming to dogs. We will really be booking in again although we sre struggling to find your availability! 🙂

We've just returned from another wonderful stay at this property in Long Sutton. As returning guests, we were delighted to find it just as perfect as we remembered. The location is stunning, offering peace and tranquility, and the property itself is immaculate. This time, we particularly enjoyed the pool and sauna – a real treat! We can't wait to return. Great place with perfect hosts! The barn is lovely throughout and the location is perfect for lots of interesting places to visit! As hosts, they were really communicative and also respectful of our situation with a nervous dog. Highly recommend!!

We booked here as two couples and had an amazing stay. Jacqui met us when we arrived and was very friendly and showed us what we needed to know. Everything was spotless and it is a very peaceful area. The swimming pool is fabulous and very well kept. The kitchen has everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be recommending to friends and family.

Tamsins home was pristine well thought out and everything was quality there are so many thoughtful touches around the kitchen and around the house and the log burner was glorious Tamsin was so accommodating and helpful if there were any questions. She offered myself and my friend a longer stay at a really good price I will definitely be back in the future. It was a blessing Thankyou

We had a wonderful family stay at Brook Cottage - with 3 generations there was something for everyone! Vanessa was so kind and welcoming and explained all the facilities to us, there was a comprehensive folder inside too. We absolutely loved the cottage, it was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and so well equipped too. Everyone slept well in the comfy beds. The games room was great for our teenagers and grandparents could join in too. We also enjoyed games on the grass area near the glamping site and our bbq area/ garden was private and beautifully peaceful with wonderful seating area. An amazing stay at this gorgeous little cottage. Loads of privacy and stunning walks from the doorstep. Cute little village with great connections. The house is great, exactly what you need but so much more with all the little details. Lovely books, flyers, amazing scented bathrooms, quality kitchen, organised rubbish bins, cute paintings of wildlife and clean and tidy everywhere. Just what we wanted! Also very accommodating of our black Labrador - even sent back the dog bed when I left it! Thanks so much!

I had such a lovely day definitely worth it if you’re planning to visit Wells. It’s within walking distance of the stunning Wells Cathedral, which was truly breathtaking. Summer is a perfect time to come!

Beautiful place! We had the most amazing few days. The house is on 2 floors, beautiful clean bedroom on the ground floor with a fantastic on suite, large shower and bath. You can bathe with a view. Upstairs is a well equipped kitchen with plenty of equipment, a cafetière for coffee whilst sitting on the comfy sofa which looks out across the countryside and you can see the sea. Tranquil place, fantastic for relaxing and exploring.

We had the most wonderful relaxing holiday. I had always wanted to stay in a converted church and it did not disappoint. Everything supplied was of quality and we had everything we could possibly need. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and spent a long time wandering through them, sitting in the chair swing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Sarah was lovely, very helpful and accommodating. I would happily go back and would recommend to any couple looking for peace and relaxation in a wonderful setting.

Jo was a great host. Short walk into Frome by pavement or across the fields and along the river side into town. Nice garden with a chiminea and table and chairs for 4. PS Dogs also enjoyed their stay.

Thank you dearest Caroline for your kindness, warmth and hospitality. We stayed for 5 nights at the Summerhouse recently. The Summerhouse is pristine and picturesque. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Real Garden of Avalon can be felt here (away from the nearby crowds and tourism) as I gazed to the Tor in the distance, being surrounded by Apple Trees, Pink, White and Yellow Roses. I enjoyed very much walking my Son around Caroline's Gardens that she immaculately preserves and tends to. I hold that precious time there in my Heart.

We stayed here for a wedding we attended nearby in Honiton. The location and the space are brilliant and easy to get to. Cosy and clean space. Plenty of amenities and snacks provided which went down a treat after a long evening...! Phillip was a very welcoming host and overall this place is exactly what Airbnb should be.
