Holiday rentals with lake access in Carleton County

The home went above and beyond my expectations! From the moment you walk in, there’s lots of pieces with funny quotes around the house that give you a good chuckle and make the place more inviting. There were kayaks available, life jackets, and even a wet suit! There were board games and a room with a double monitor taking our gaming experience over the top. A fire pit right by the water making it a the perfect place to lay and look at the stars. The host was very friendly and extremely responsive, I would definitely book again! We enjoyed our stay at the quaint 1850s-built farmhouse. We had ample space for our group. The bbq and large dining room ensured we had a wonderful evening of laughter and games. Thank you for the hospitality!

Our time at Small Wonder was nothing short of magical. This was a 25+ year trip in the making to Maine and we were so please. Traci has a beautiful camp that has all the amenities of home and beyond. It was well stocked with all that we needed and more and the property was better than any photo shown. We enjoyed the remoteness and the sense of a community within the area and would love to spend more time here and at East Grand Lake in the future. Thank you from our family to yours! The house is very beautiful and easily accommodated 10 guests. The lake front view and dock was outstanding. Dwayne was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

We had a great stay very close to the snowmobile trails and to town. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Echo Lake is a magical, beautiful place. The view from the deck and shoreline are absolutely gorgeous. The house is roomy and very comfortable. We prepared a few meals and had everything we needed. The host is incredibly friendly and responsive. We didn't want to leave! I hope we get to come back and stay there again.

The peace and tranquility overlooking the river while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing! We're so happy we chose to stay out of town to enjoy the countryside.

Kelley and Norm made us feel right at home. Their place is located on a wonderful lake, was very clean, and well appointed. A wonderful spot!

We had a great time at Tina’s place. Her hospitality is above and beyond. There were many thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Comfy bed and soft pillows. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and private as well as spacious. Perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Tina for sharing your gem by the lake side!

April's place was so clean and was even better than the pictures. The house was so well stocked with everything you would need including excellent pots and pans. The welcome bag of local coffee and candy jar was a lovely touch. I will definitely book again

ご縁あって急遽Cindyさんのところにお世話になりました。毎朝の川の景色がとても楽しみに起きていました。刻々と変化する景色にうっとり。 建物の設備なども十分で、キッチンも大いに使用させていただきました。 ベッドルームも寝心地もとてもよかったです。私達の毎日の目的はフレデリクトンにあったのですが、少し距離があったとしても、Cindyさんご夫妻に出会うことができ、滞在したことはかけがえのない思い出となりました。 またぜひ伺いたいです！ ありがとうございました。

This was our second time staying here. If you’re looking for a remote, rustic, peaceful stay - this is your place. But be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes. There were so many in fact that we couldn’t explore the property but the screened in porch with the wood stove was the highlight of our trip. We’ll book again. Mostly to say hello to the resident bunny who kept hanging around. We named him Roger in case you see him. Say hello from us.

A beautiful cabin by the lake. Lake George is a shallow lake so it warms up pretty fast and it's great for swimming. Loons are my favourite birds and there are a pair living there. During the day you'll see them and at night you get hear Loon calls 😊. Alexandra was very helpful and responsive. Thanks!

our second stay at this serene cottage and couldn't ask for a better staycation! Responsive and helpful host and easy to navigate instructions. Very beautiful place - the view is breathtaking! The cottage is very nice! And the host, Line, is very responsive and friendly!

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!

The neighbors house is for sale, but the lady there when we stayed had a beautiful yard with all sorts of creatures. Bluebirds, squirrels, etc. The lake was close and it was a pretty quiet and peaceful place. I was having a bad personal time and want to come back when things are going better and I can appreciate it fully. Lots of lake toys and activities for all ages. Would recommend and want to return myself!
