Later you can hang out on the patio, soak in the claw foot tub, or build a warm fire in the wood stove. Enjoy nature just 20 minutes from White Lake. This is a relatively secluded location in a private neighborhood intended for getting back to nature. *Please note that the neighborhood was flooded in hurricane Florence last October so some of the homes are currently under renovation.

Happy's Place Downtown Southport

This is my uncle Happy's place. It is in historic downtown Southport, walking distance from restaurants, shopping, and the Cape Fear river. Located on a quaint alley just off the town's main street, this happy little cottage is nestled among large live oaks and in the shadow of Southport's iconic water tower. The home has one bedroom with a queen bed. The living area has a twin bed and two chairs. There is a full kitchen and small bathroom. Southport’s beautiful waterfront and parks await.

The Empie-Possion Cottage is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, NC. The cottage is three blocks from the water and a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown. The Empie-Possion cottage was built in 1913 and is expertly restored. Have a drink on the screened in patio in the back or on the historic front porch. Come enjoy a stay where you can truly unwind. Original beachfront cottage on Holden Beach, just steps from the sand and water. Enjoy the dolphins and shorebirds from the rockers on the covered porch. Cozy studio has been renovated with thoughtful upgrades. Kitchen is fully stocked including coffee maker, spices, condiments, and premium cookware. No stairs, ground-level are ideal for children, older guests, and pets (pet fee collected separately). Lots of amenities and beach items are provided for your comfort and convenience.

Virginia’s Country Cottage, a charming guest house constructed in 2020, nestled on 40 acres behind our residence. Enjoy your own private yard and relax on the new outdoor patio featuring a gas fire pit. This 950-square-foot retreat offers tranquility in a secluded setting while still being close to Western Blvd. Nearby amenities include restaurants, grocery stores, a movie theater, mall, and Walmart, making it an ideal spot for those visiting cities surrounding onslow county.

While the lake has been temporarily drained due to damage from tropical storm, Chantal, the property remains peaceful and inviting with wide-open views, abundant wildlife, and sunsets to remember. The cottage is furnished with charm to spare and offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a full kitchen, spacious living area, and sunroom. Three blocks by foot, bicycle or golf cart from the Carolina Hotel, deemed in 1901 the “Queen of South”, with its fine dining, entertainment, highly acclaimed “Spa at Pinehurst”, restaurants and shops of Pinehurst Village. Straight down from this grand resort by lovely promenade is the world-famous Pinehurst Country Club and renown “Number 2” championship golf course. A few blocks further, the 111 acre equestrian facility and historic Pinehurst Harness Track.
