Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Cape Fear River

I stayed for a month with Marsh and he is a fantastic and friendly host. His house is in a very good location for exploring Raleigh. Marsh makes you feel right at home and he is very down to earth and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here anytime for any amount of time and I'll be sure to try to book this place the next time I'm in Raleigh.

Mary Betty was so friendly , gracious and just a joy !!! We Felt right at home from the moment we arrived … The house is beautiful from top to bottom. If you are an antique/ history lover there is plenty for the eye to see and more information to be learned at this B&B We can’t say enough about Ms Mary and her home. The breakfast she prepared was quite delicious as well This place is a 10 out of 10 !!!!!

Ida is a wonderful hostess. Her B and B is perfect and neat as a pin. Her hospitality was wonderful. I only hope I am in the area again.

This friendly little b-n-b was a find… it’s on a quiet street and right on the intercoastal waterway, with a little sunroom overlooking the water where I enjoyed my morning coffee. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Phoebe was an absolute pleasure - excellent communicator and great company over breakfast. I was in town visiting family but she was well equipped for vacationers, with kayaks and a hot tub. Highly recommended!

my husband and I stayed one night at the Pine Gables bed and breakfast. We will definitely stay here again. From start to finish Mollie was the best. Very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Her detailed directions for checking in made it a breeze. Mollies home was beautifully decorated. our room was so cozy comfy with all you need. Morning coffee on the porch was lovely.

John was able to accommodate my young adult college age daughter for a trip to scope out ECU. It was like having another family member there to help keep a safety eye on her. My daughter loved the place, loved John, and felt safe and secure. I couldn’t ask for anything more! Thanks again so much for helping us out. I was a perfect stay.

This was a wonderful weekend getaway! First time staying at a B&B and what a great experience it was! Right in the heart of the historical district of Wilmington. Lots to do downtown by the river walk and an easy and short walk as well. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Wow! Where do I start…this place is amazing! First off, the pictures on here do not do it justice! I would recommend searching it on google. This b&b is extremely beautiful and right out of a movie! The room and location were perfection. However, what really stood out was the service. You will be greeted by Eppy, who will welcome you and collect any details regarding your arrival! Upon arriving, we met Angie! She is an angel! She makes you feel right at home, so warm and welcoming! The previous review about never being hungry is TRUE!! She makes a killer breakfast!! Not exaggerating whatsoever!! I could honestly keep writing about our incredible experience, fortunately there’s limited characters. If you are looking for a beautiful, magical & wonderful place to stay in Wilmington, do not look any further! You will not find anything that comes close to Angie’s!! Angie & Eppy are so special. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our trip so lovely!

My husband and I stayed with Victoria and David while we were in town for the US Open. Staying with them made our vacation an even more special one. What a cute and quaint cabin deep into the woods. Victoria and David are incredible people. We felt very welcomed and we quickly became friends. Our suite was charming and clean. Victoria is talented woman and chef, and David is her equal. If you are looking for an adventure, we cannot recommend this homestead enough.

This was a great place to stay for the night passing through and staying for travel. Katy is responsive from the time you book! It was so clean, neat and a beautiful property. Served breakfast in the morning which was awesome 👌. The bed was super comfortable and was a good nights sleep. I was even offered samples of pie from the pie contest they had! So 😋 yummy. I highly recommend this place. The directions are really easy, easy access to the hwy. Katy was very precise and clear with entrance details and it was awesome because I came in later jn the day. If traveling through again, I would definitely stay here. This is everything a bed and breakfast should be and more. Thank you for having me and being such a responsive host! Do not hesitate even during covid as I felt safe and it was super clean.

spotless, calm and peaceful, all the amenities, and a sort drive to Lynches River for amazing kayaking

We loved spending a night at this Bed & Breakfast, our first at a bed & breakfast by the way. It was super clean, very easy and private to get in and out and just about 25 minutes drive to Chapel Hill. Most of all, the breakfast with fresh coffee, scrambled eggs from hens on the property, fresh strawberries on yogurt and a muffin was just amazing. All prepared by the host, Eric, who lives next door. We liked this experience so much that we will look for b&b opportunities next time around.

What a wonderful place! The room was immaculate and the house itself is warm and inviting. Just blocks away from the river front, this home is in the best location. Oh, and the breakfasts!!!!

Words can’t express how much I recommend the Carriage House Inn. It is such a beautiful home and the owners were very friendly. There’s not a thing I would change about my stay. From the continental breakfast to the happy hour, I was impressed with the extra amenities that were provided for us. For an extra cherry on top, we had Whiskey (the most adorable dog) greet us as the door when we came in. We will definitely be returning to stay here for any future trips to Southport!

Had a wonderful stay at Alyson's place, she made us feel right at home. The room had its own separate entrance from the main house. There was a common sitting area and mini kitchen setup shared with one other room. But we had our own bathroom. Each morning and evening Alyson left prepared mini breakfast bites or cookies. Alyson was responsive, welcoming and helpful before and throughout our stay. Would highly recommend as an option when visiting the area.

We had an amazing stay! Very friendly hosts, clean space, within walking distance to the river walk, and restaurants. They added so many little touches making the space feel homey and made us feel very welcomed. They also served breakfast every morning which was so yummy!! Definitely recommend staying here!!

Quiet room in a peaceful, wooded neighborhood. Hot breakfasts wonderful way to start day with good food and conversation. Easy driving access to Chapel Hill businesses and UNC.

I had an emergency at home and needed to leave early. They were supportive and concerned. Offered to make coffee for my departure. The location was very nice and the home is immaculate!

From booking to checking out Ernie was a delight to work with and stay with. The room was as described having plenty of space for sleeping, lounging, and working. WiFi connection was great for streaming meetings with remote connections needed. Not only were there offerings of fresh baked goods, fruit, and bottled water but also amazing conversation and the feeling of being right at home while allowing for personal space with the private room and bath for each guest. I will definitely stay again as my visits to Laurinburg continue beyond my daughter’s time at St.Andrews.

Kim and Scott’s home was a retreat! A peaceful, charming, family neighborhood with a comfortable room and loft area. The backyard areas great for relaxing, socializing and or making s’mores. The coffee and wine were wonderful! Couldn’t have asked for more hospitable and amazing hosts! Grateful for your thoughtfulness and recommendations. We highly recommend Kim and Scott’s Airbnb!!

A buddy and I stayed at Alyson’s home for the 124th US Open at Pinehurst No. 2. Our experience staying in Alyson’s Airbnb was nothing short of fantastic. Alyson and her husband were extremely nice people. My personal favorite was Alyson’s homemade treats she’d put out for us (muffins, cookies, pastries) each day. The amenities provided were everything a person could need. The location of the Airbnb was great — 1 min drive to downtown Southern Pines and 10-15 mins to Pinehurst. If anyone ever did a case study on what an excellent Airbnb looks like, Alyson’s place would be the Example A. I can’t thank her enough for making our trip wonderful. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area.
