Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cape Elizabeth

What a fantastic place! Great amenities for a luxurious stay at the house, all the tools you may need if you wanted to cook at home, and so conveniently located to Old Port if you want some great food and drinks in the city. We stayed for 3 nights with another couple. We spent time in Old port visiting restaurants and a few breweries/distilleries and ended the nights by the firepit in the back yard. Took a nice walk. We also made a nice dinner after grabbing some great produce at the Protland Farmaers market. Wish we had more time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and quiet time of rest at The Rising Tides. The setting is absolutely serene. It’s very secluded and quiet, the perfect place for a week of rest and relaxation. We went hiking on the Cliff Trail (15 minutes away and a very nice hiking trail), watched the sunrise at the Lands End store on Bailey island (15-20 minutes), and kayaked in the cove. The grill was very nice and we enjoyed cooking on it regularly. The place was very clean and ready on our arrival. The host communicated very clearly. You will need to follow her driving directions as they are very clear and helpful. In our four days there we only saw 1 neighbor - and that was as we were leaving on the weekend. There’s a grocery store only 15 minutes away and we were able to stock up on our way there. Really, this was one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. We really enjoyed having a few options of things to do while also being able to just do nothing on our vacation in a quiet place.

This was our fourth stay at Ralda's house. It is easily one of my favorite places to stay. The house is pristine and comfortable, and the proximity to Higgins Beach can't be beat. We're already looking forward to our next stay!

We came to Portland to stay for the week, this Airbnb was perfect! Great location! Loved all the amenities! And the place itself was soo cute! We took full use of the hot tub! And also the grill, it was great and easy to use! The bedrooms and space for our dog was amazing! Our pup loved his stay too! (The neighbors dogs are very annoying and barked everytime we were out- but nothing the host has control over!!) The host was so responsive, when we got there I accidentally mistaken the heater for the AC! She got back to me in seconds on what’s what! Was never bothered, and check in and check out was seamless! Thank you for an amazing stay and hospitality for our first trip to Maine! 10/10 recommend! I would definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay. This was our first time in Portland and coming back to this unit after a full day of activities felt like we were right at home. Lucie has truly made this unit so warm and inviting with great attention to detail. The location itself is also great, not too far from the city to drive but not too close either. Thanks again!

Sick a cozy and comfy little place. It was small but in a nice and cozy way. Extra linens and pulled provided and batteries were supplied within minutes of request. The beautiful beach was steps from the front door. Prefect getaway for a couple weekend.

Guys, this was a great Air BNB. Under promised and over delivered! Seth listened and got right back each time I messaged him (probably drive him nuts:). Came in clutch in a pinch situation for me. So grateful.

"Extraordinary Architectural Masterpiece" pretty much sums up the apartment. Nice open spaces with elegant lighting and design touches throughout. Lots of windows ensured it was bright and offered great views of the city (often made possible by an abundance of parking lots close by - this is a good thing!). We were able to walk to a number of great restaurants, none of which were more than 10 minutes on foot. Likewise, the ferry to Peaks Island is an easy walk (and worth the trip, particularly if you rent a bike which is super easy). Alice was super responsive when I reached out with questions and updates on timing. So all good and glad we stayed there!

This was my second stay at Scott‘s amazing penthouse. So beautiful and comfortable and clean and you can’t beat the views across the harbor. I really needed a break and loved the comfortable beds! Just as described. Close to restaurants, shops and waterfront. The proximity to everything and the parking so close by made for a relaxing weekend. Scott was always immediately responsive when I had a question. I hope to be back for a third time in the future.

Emphasizing what others have said: this is a perfect location. The hype about Scratch bakery is real—it’s incredible. You can sit at your window, decide as the line is forming when you want to stroll over, and never fight for a parking space. Same thing for the beach, minutes away. This is a comfortable, light-filled space, perhaps the best ABnB I’ve ever been in. Don’t underestimate the difference it makes when hosts are kind people—who also get the jokes. Glenn and MJ are the best. I’ll be back whenever I’m in Portland.

We absolutely adore Jess’s place! It was spotlessly clean and conveniently located near some fantastic spots in South Portland. The decor was tastefully done, and Jess made check-in and checkout a breeze. She was incredibly flexible and kind with any requests we had. Overall, Jess was an amazing host—always responsive and ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We’ll definitely be booking with Jess again when we return to beautiful Portland, Maine!

This was a perfect location for enjoying being in the heart of Old Orchard Beach. You get live music down stairs, a few steps away from the beach, quick walk to downtown/pier. Totally worth it! The condo is beautiful and comfortable.

Great stay

Beautiful, spacious and bright house, with everything you need to be comfortable and explore Portland. At one point, we had a problem with the fire alarm and Allyson not only answered in minutes, but also told us how to fix the problem and left us extra batteries so it wouldn't happen again. Don't hesitate to stay at Allyson's, not only is it the ideal accommodation for a family, but Allyson was the best host. Thank you very much!

Wonderful little spot very close to the beach. Plenty of places to walk to from the location as well as a short drive to Old Orchard Beach. Would come back in a heartbeat!

We had a great stay at Tysons place. Its a perfect location, only like 5-10 minutes drive from Old Port. The home is clean and beautiful. Street parking was super easy. Always space right on the side of the home. Each room has its own A/C. Would definitely recommend staying at Tysons place!

The Baxter Suite was perfect for our weekend stay with 4 people. Thomas was a great host- very responsive and accommodating. The apartment is beautiful and very clean. The bathroom is gorgeous and beds were so comfy. One note is that the only mirror is in the bathroom and there is no full length mirror (not a huge issue but a small struggle with 4 women trying to get ready at the same time lol). The free parking spot was very nice to have but there was also plenty of street parking available. Overall Thomas’s place had everything we needed and we would stay here again!
