Couldn’t have picked a better spot to be away from the noise of the every day. We were able to see the Milky Way two nights in a row - completely worth the price of admission! The available hikes in the area and beyond are breathtaking. We were totally by ourselves and only were woken up in the morning by the ravens. They were pretty funny. The location is remote and you are in the middle of a dessert valley. The is local gas station that has decent stuff but you definitely want to bring what you like before you get to the area. It is yurt as advertised - minimalist - comfortable with all your necessities taken care of. The bathroom is nice but don’t have expectations of a long hot shower. It is eco friendly and appropriate for the area. Overall - it was a wonderful stay and we loved it!

We were looking for a peaceful get-away near trail access and absolutely found it here! Birding and reading from the deck was just what I was hoping for - plus the Red Dot Trail on the property for low-key, meditative time in the woods without having to drive anywhere. The nearby access to the Continental Divide Trail for longer recreation was perfect too! The photos in the listing show exactly what the cottage looks like - adorable and comfortable! We will definitely keep this on our radar for future vacations. The cottage right next door would be the perfect opportunity to book with friends or family and stay nearby, but have our own spaces. Lori and Mike were incredibly accommodating, responsive and helpful in deciding what to do with our time in the area.

Augusta was a great host! She was very quick to answer and help my crewman as needed and kept us informed of when there were any issues in the area. I look forward to next stay in the area.

The Casita exceeded my expectations both inside and outside of its walls. The stone floor, the hobbit door, and the Turkish rugs provided me with the artistic vibe I was seeking on the inside. But the setting was so stunning, I kept getting drawn outside. I would visit the "end of the world" view (only a 10 minute walk) of Plaza Blanca several times a day, to witness the changing light. During my 3 day stay I visited Taos, Ghost Ranch (hiked Chimney Rock and went on the O'Keeffe landscape tour), Dar al Islam, and O'Keeffe's Abiquiú Home/Studio. In the evenings, I used the two burners to cook. WiFi was stable for Zoom meetings. And I appreciated the comfortable bed. Jeremy was very helpful with location suggestions both before and during my stay. I highly recommend the Casita!
