The Cart Shed at South Barn

A top-notch conversion of a small flint and brick cart shed alongside a beautifully restored 300-yearold oak barn. It feels private too, with its own little courtyard garden, colourful borders, terracotta pots, teak table and chairs – catch the morning rays with an al fresco breakfast. Inside all is fresh, bright, light and comfortable. Beautiful oak floors are toasty underfoot, there are chunky beams, thick fabrics, white sofas, French doors out the courtyard and heaps of books. The bedroom makes great use of the space with its fine painted bed, so settle down with best linen, feather and down duvets, views across the garden, and a fully-tiled walk-in shower that’s state of the art. A generous welcome basket includes a bottle of wine should you be staying the week, the flat-screen TV comes with oodles of DVDs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen in one corner and kind owners next door to provide continental breakfast or evening meals should you want them; lovers will take root. There’s walking through woods and paths for the more adventurous, and Canterbury Faversham and Whitstable are near. Nearby Ashford has high speed train link to london only 38 miutes away. Charming.

Our lovely top Floor Flat takes one half of a house on the hugely popular Nelson Road. The flat is 30 second walk from Windy Corner stores, one of the best cafés in Whitstable, serving the most delicious breakfasts, coffees cakes and lunches. The sea is 1 mins walk as is the tennis court. Just another minute or so along the beach is the famous Old Neptune pub, where you can sip your pint outside by the sea or inside listening to fav live music most nights! The high street is a few mins away too!

You will be close to everything when you stay at this caravan. There’s a swimming pool, 10 minutes walk to the beach and arcades. Bakery, fish and chips, pubs. On site arcade, evening entertainment with bar and restaurant and more. You will need passes from reception for the pool (this is by booking your time slot) and for buying food/drinks and bingo cards etc from the bar. Hi! We are a family of five! Lucy, Geoff, Layla (5), Orson (3) and Arto (4 months). Sometimes we go away for a week or so and give others the opportunity to rent out our home. The house has the most amazing, calming energy. The kitchen/ dining room is open plan. There's a hot tub and sauna in the garden, with views over a woodland and a lake. This would be a great space for trialing out living in the beautiful town of Forest Row, within walking distance to the Ashdown Forest.
