Holiday rentals with a fireplace in California

It was peaceful and serene. I wanted a place to relax and let the issues of the world fade away. That's exactly what I experienced at Skip-A-Way Landing. The house is not only beautiful but it has a warm and welcoming feel to it. Like coming home after a long time away. Overall the house is lovely however the subtle touches throughout are also much appreciated. It's the small details that let you know that the owners put a lot of thought into it and care about its' guests. I did not want to leave. I'm already looking forward to going back. Highly recommended!

Great location for a low-key weekend escape from the city. House is well stocked and appointed. SUPs & kayaks available, everything was pretty easy to find or figure out.

Had a great weekend in the Northern Neck here! We watched a pod of dolphins and stingrays from the backyard, enjoyed easy access to nearby parks, and had a great time cooking in the kitchen. This is seemingly a very recently renovated house, and all the towels, sheets, beds, etc. seemed brand new as well. It was super clean, super comfy, and the hosts were very responsive! I liked that the property was surrounded on one side by forest as well—it was nice and quiet and secluded. Finally, they have a super cute collection of board games disguised as old timey books. I'd definitely stay here again!

Patrick and Celine's home was everything they said: Beautiful views! Very clean and comfortable and cozy inviting and even had a beautiful Christmas tree in the living room. Had everything you could need in kitchen and bathrooms very clean comfortable home. The grand-kids both stayed in the room with the bunk-beds. They enjoyed the space and comfort of the beds. All the rooms and beds were comfortable. The house was so cute, we didn't have a chance to enjoy the outside amenities, being that it is December. Everything is just as pictured on-line maybe even better in person. The hosts were very communicative, we never had any issues. We had a great holiday time and would love to be able to return sometime. We would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay here. Beautiful views of the water. Hosts were quick to respond. Good WiFi. Large deck with teak table and weber grill. Easy walk to water access. The waterfront is the best I’ve seen on the Bay. Sandy with shady and sunny spots against the cliffs. From the water access, you can walk in one direction to the limestone cliffs for shark tooth hunting. The other direction goes all the way to the marina. We hope to stay here again.

We had a wonderful vacation here. Although it rained during our stay, we found the treehouse to be a great place just for listening the rain drops and having some inner peace.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was relaxing and super chill.

Jacqueline's place is amazing! It is close to the sea and you can take a walk to enjoy the beautify view. I booked this for my uncles from China to attend my wedding and Jacqueline made us feel welcomed and gave us a tour for the place. The place has everything we need and is sparklingly clean. The host is easy to reach and always respond to our question in seconds. Highly recommend this place if you want something affordable and nice in the area.

After the passing of my dad 3 years ago it was important when I visited with my mom and siblings that we found a home that could accommodate all of us under 1 roof! This location exceeded our expectations. Other than some minor detail things like the master shower upstairs not having a complete door or covering and having to get water up after each use, and the microwave wasn’t the best in terms of temperature when heating up good! I have nothing negative to say about this house & our experience this past weekend. My husband and I will be booking again! . My mom, siblings and family really enjoyed this weekend! I hope we did our part with respecting the home and rules that followed. Thanks again for having us. 🙏🏽♥️

We wanted peace and quiet and that’s what it offered. Our children sent me for my birthday. We arrived at night so it was hard to see the address that’s when we realized others were on the property. Very clean and fresh. A few more kitchen amenities would have been nice. A nice touch of a birthday balloon and treats. We would come back again. Thanks

Wonderful abnb in the heart of King George. Pam has been great with communication and understanding during a stay with my two younger children. This place beats staying at a hotel and I Would love to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Really nice fully furnished basement with private entrance and a kitchen. The place was dog friendly and even had a small fenced in back yard that was great to let our dog walk around and get some exercise. Very spacious basement with washer and dryer. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions.

We loved staying here! Leonardtown is such a nice community to explore and Haley’s place was in the heart of the good energy. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed to relax.

amazingly, comfortable and convenient place within walking distance of everything you could want to do! Very well stocked kitchen and didn’t leave us wanting for anything, I’ll be looking for this place again if I come back to the area.
