Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Caister-on-Sea

This cottage is just so peaceful in beautiful surroundings. Within a short drive you can be in the Norfolk Broads or any of the local beaches, from Great Yarmouth down to Aldeburgh. For dog owners I would recommend Kessingland. It's just such a lovely stroll and surprisingly not busy. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round here. Dave is a really friendly chap and I'm sure if we had had any problems at all with the cottage he would have been there to help out, but the cottage was faultless. Just a lovely quiet place, surrounded by fields. If we visit Suffolk again I will definitely see if this cottage is available. It's so relaxing here. What a hidden gem!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. Marian was a fabulous host and also Michelle, who oversees the running of Old Chapel House. We arrived to find the table in the kitchen all set out for dinner. Great fun was had in the evening playing croquet in the fabulous garden and then games around the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in each of the rooms was a lovely touch. Knowing one of my sons was home for our family wedding at Waxham Barn, Marian had arranged an Australian pineapple cake for us to enjoy, together with locally sourced marmalade and apple juice. It was also helpful to find plenty of items such as tea, coffee, condiments etc. My one request to my family was for a slice of sourdough bread, delivered on the Saturday morning, be left for me after having my hair and makeup done. Sadly, it had all been demolished! The house clearly was a previously well loved family home. We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning.

Perfect place for the two of us and our dog. Very comfortable and peaceful place to return to after a day exploring the broads, with parking in front of the lodge. We loved all the extra touches left for us and our dog too! WiFi worked fine for us and the TV as well as plenty of books/ games etc. The beds were clean and comfortable. Sonya was a lovely host and very responsive. We visited Norwich which was well worth it, so much to see and do. Lowestoft is only minutes away with sandy beaches. We had a full English breakfast on our last morning at the marina bar/restaurant which was huge and tasty. Nice trip away in a lovely area.

This was a lovely and comfortable home for the 3 of us. Best part was the incredible outdoor garden and terrace. We enjoyed the games and books provided too. It was quiet and peaceful. Hannah was very friendly and responsive. Overall a great stay. One word of caution - the road passes very close by the front door, so it’s best to be very careful when exiting (especially for those who normally look left for traffic).

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in! The barn is spotless, had everything you need - and wonderful touches such as garden games and board games. The surrounding area is peaceful - with birdsong all day long. We spent a short but fabulous visit enjoying the space, the garden, the views and the hot tub! Just wonderful. Shaun is incredibly helpful and friendly. We will certainly be going back!

Just finished a very relaxing few days and it was everything we could have hoped for. Stunning view and so peaceful! Caravan had everything we needed. Spotless and clean. So sad to leave and am already wondering when I could next come and stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Sara.

We had a wonderful stay at Horizon house. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. So close to the beach and amenities! Great having space for 2 cars off street parking too, made unloading/ loading much easier.

We had a lovely stay , Viktoria was so helpful with anything we asked her. They had thought of everything we needed, even hot water bottles and spare dog bowls. Plenty of towels, tea towels and kitchen items. the location was perfect for the beach for dog walks etc, plenty for our 4 year old to do and everyone was so friendly. We would definitely consider staying there again

Wow what a lovely place to stay! It’s immaculate and has so much included what with the Hamper on arrival, kids toys and books and games, DVDS, spotlessly clean and the quality of the linen impressive! I would go as far as saying it’s the cleanest place we have stayed and in terms of location it’s perfect! All in walking distance! Comfy beds and sofas! I can not fault this place one bit! If you book you will not be disappointed! It’s on a lovely site with pool £4 per child and £5 per adult well worth it so clean and tidy! Lovely bar on site too all dog friendly! Get booking you will not be disappointed!

We had such a lovely time. Location was peaceful and the accommodation was perfectly placed for planned activities and so close to the beach. Inside was clean and lovely and warm and Hannah was fantastic at answering any questions very quickly and also making sure we were settled in. Thank you.

Lovely well equipped and modern chalet. Really peaceful grounds and quiet but with lovely amenities, free swimming, lovely park, mini golf and playground. Really close to lovely beaches and things to do with kids and dogs and a wide choice of restaurants. This chalet was a little gem of a find and we will definitely return for another visit. We went for a family weekend to connect and just had the most amazing time. Toastie warm comfy beds. Don’t forget to book the pool and top tip… remember to take a towel for the pool!

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s place near Oulton Broad for 3 nights with the kids and the dog. Lovely little attention to detail with dog treats and dog bowls left out, also some treats for the humans. Thanks!

We have had a lovely week at David’s cottage. It has everything you could need and more. We loved the kitchen and the garden. The locations great we have really enjoyed the week thanks for having us ⭐️

A great chalet we used it as a base we travelled into Norwich and Norfolk also to great yarmouth as well as the little villages close by. What a beautiful surrounding with all the little cafes near the beach. Highly recommend staying here as a stay vacation or using it as a base like we did to discover more. from Mandy, Marc and our fur baby poppy, might be her last holiday at 16 1/2 years old but she got around.

Such a lovely little bolt hole, clean, tidy and homely. Close to the beach and a couple of pubs and cafes. Chippy on site very good. Would recommend and will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous place, very very homely and cosy, everything was close by and accessible, we felt so at home here with the lovely open space. Perfect for a family stay! We were so happy to find the hosts had left us lots of nice treats when we had arrived, mulled wine, chocolate, beer, a lovely card, doggie treats. It was such a lovely thing to do we could tell that the hosts are very nice people. Thanks again we will definitely stay again in the future as we didn’t want to leave ! Thank you so much

We had a great time. Will recommend to people . Walked into town but was ok once we realised about the clipper bus every 15min from top of the road, was better for us older ones hehe. The accommodation was brilliant thank you 👍

Fantastic stay in a wonderful cozy chalet near the resort of Hemsby. Our granddaughters absolutely loved it there and the attention to detail in the chalet was 2nd to none with kids games and cutlery and plates et cetera - great location with three clubhouses nearby and a fish and chip shop - Amusements and beach pretty much on your doorstep too. Would def go back.

Thimble cottage is small but perfectly formed. As stated the stairs are very steep in a very small space which if you are not very agile you should take into consideration. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. The only thing I would have liked is a full length mirror in the bedroom. It is Close to shops, pub/restaurants. The pub at the end of the road, the Ship, wasn’t for us but if you just want a drink when you get home it’s ok. The Outside area reminded me of a working man’s club. The Castle pub/restaurant is a 10 minute walk especially if you find the short cut. Food was good and nice area to sit outside. The best bit for us was the very long sandy beach which is dog friendly all year around 2 minutes walk away. Great base for visiting Norfolk. There is a small dishwasher which Tracey informed us that the quickest wash is the glasses option. My husband didn’t realise that and put it on economy, I didn’t think it was ever going to end. Lol. We Would recommend

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this gorgeous home, Kelvin was a very attentive host. The home was fabulous, immaculate, very welcoming and a stones throw from the beach. Honestly you'd be hard pushed to find anything with a better location and so comfy. The games room was great fun and we all enjoyed a hilarious games day on the 1 rainy day of our stay and kept having rematches!!!! I couldn't rate this home high enough, parking was super easy, plenty of great places to eat a lot of which had great gluten free options. The Lookout does an amazing breakfast and the staff are really friendly, Ryans fish and chips were lush and they have gf options on a Wednesday and Thursday, The Ship pub were really nice too. we did cook honest! The kitchen was lovely with all the mod cons you'd need and we'll supplied with equipment. Thanks Kelvin, we'd love to come back!
