Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Caelian Hill

Great small apartment for two people. A bit out of the way in Rome but we liked getting out of the chaos of the city center after each day. Host was very accommodating and attentive.

Firstly, the hosts were very pleasant, helpful and available for any questions or needs that we had. Helped a lot to make our stay more pleasant. The place itself is very pleasant and in a peaceful, interesting neighborhood, five minutes walk from a subway. Number of small, cozy restaurants with delicious food at very reasonable prices.

Frederica was super kind, bubbly, and helpful. The location of this Airbnb is unmatched. It is right across from the beach with amazing restaurants nearby, beautiful views, and privacy and security. We felt very safe and very comfortable here. Our only complaint is that the A/C and Wifi were a bit spotty and you have to pay a separate cash cleaning fee on top of the Airbnb price, but everything else was great. Definitely recommend this place!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at Vincenzo's house - it made our trip to Rome truly enjoyable. The location was perfect—close to the Colosseum, bus stops, restaurants, and grocery stores. We were able to walk to major attractions. The street had amazing restaurants. Despite being in the center of everything, the house was quiet when the windows were closed, and we slept well. The small patio was a beautiful addition and gave us a lovely spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. The host had thoughtfully provided everything one might need—from toothpaste to an ironing board, from paper towels to fruit juice in the fridge. The small details reflected how much thought had gone into the guest experience. Vincenzo was extremely responsive on the Airbnb app. He checked in on us and replied to everything promptly. Enrico welcomed us upon arrival and showed us everything we needed. It’s an old house, as one would expect in this part of Rome, and the history added to the experience.

Stylish and cozy home. ACs in every room. Skylights also makes this place perfect. Perfect neighbourhood to walk around and take in the beauty that Rome has to offer. Many restaurants to choose from. Flaviana was amazing to communicate for our arrival and make suggestions on her personal favorite list of cafés, groceries and restaurants.

Silvia's studio was ideal for our needs. It was very close to Trevi fountain and thus the spanish steps also, location was right amongst the action. Check in instructions were very clear and easy, the building was authentic but the studio itself was modern, clean and spacious. It also had a small washing machine which is a bonus. We were able to walk to all major attractions, the Colosseum and Vatican were both each about 30 minutes walk. Locally was great eating places and shopping. Rome Termini was a 10 euro taxi away. Sylvia gave great advice on local dining and transport tips. Would definitely stay again next time.

This place is situated a little far from Rome central but has very reasonable bus/tram connections so getting there isn’t too difficult. The apartment was clean and well described. A comfy bed with an AC unit nearby which is needed as it does get quite hot at night. Our hosts, although we didn’t meet them until the end, were so helpful, communicative and generous. We are not wine drinkers but a bottle was left for us with a note. This would be a nice touch for those after a long day of travelling. Overall a very good experience

Loved the huge figs left for us!! All the coffees teas and sweets and the grounds around the airbnb were beautiful. The grape vines full of grapes were unbelievable like out of a painting. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Roberta & Francesca's accommodation is really well located (20 min walk from the Colosseum). The neighborhood offers everything you need to have a good stay. The accommodation is really well decorated, faithful to the photos, the outside is nice even if you can hear the noise from the street. I highly recommend it. There were 6 of us and we spent 4 nights.

We absolutely loved staying at Lucia’s home. It was everything we wanted. Close to all the major landmarks, beautiful home in a great neighborhood.. Lucia was an amazing host. She was full of knowledge and gave us great guidance. We will definitely come back here again.

Upon arrival we were met by the lovely Leonardo who let us into the apartment. The apartment is beautiful, exactly like the photos and incredibly clean. Only thing that would have made the arrival better would have maybe been a couple of bottles of water as it was warm when we arrived. The area itself is residential but there are some lovely resturants, cafes and bars that are worth checking out and it is full of families in the evenings. The apartments position is about a 30min walk from the Colloseum but you can get on the 628 bus from just down from the apartment and itll take you into the city centre. On our day of check out Leonardo allowed us to leave our luggage until 1pm where he then met us before we left and even gave my husband a lovely wallet as a gift. He really did go above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and would most definitely stay again! Keep up the great work!

Our stay at Federico’s place was so lovely! Federico showed us the whole apartment and how everything worked at check in and we felt right at home right away. The view is amazing and the apartment is extremely spacious. We hope to stay again!

We stayed here from May 16-24 2025 and had an incredible time. David’s place was easily accessible by uber or taxi to all the touristy spots. If you’re looking for a true Italian feeling place this is the one for you!! David was very responsive and had the most pleasant people to help check us in and out. Will definitely recommend!!

As a solo traveler, I really appreciated how you checked in on me and responded quickly when I had trouble with the AC—you came by immediately with your maintenance guy. I felt safe, cared for, and welcomed. You also gave me great birthday dinner recommendations and had a super helpful welcome booklet with curated spots and things to do around Rome. The apartment was exactly like the photos—clean, stylish, and perfect for content. All the amenities worked, and the location was ideal—just 15 mins from the Colosseum and close to public transport. 100/10 experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. Grazie, Stephano!

Highly recommend!!!!! This apartment was excellent for our 3 night stay in Rome. Location was excellent. It was so handy to the metro, 3 minute walk. Then you can access all sights of Rome from a train. Easy to get to from Termni. Fiammetta is an amazing host. Very friendly and extremely helpful from the momemnt we booked she was so helpful with tips on rome sights and things to do, tranport options from the airport and then around the city. Provided us with Tips on places to eat, supermarkets, shopping etc. Just amazing. Apartment is very comfortable and well stocked kitchen. Thank you Fiammetta see you in 2027 when we come back!

Simona offered us one of our best experiences on Airbnb, she is super available, welcoming and helpful! The accommodation is excellent and has everything you need if you want to eat from time to time, the location is ideal, close to the metro, but in good weather we didn't even have to use it, the tourist places being at most 1 hour 10 minutes' walk, with the coliseum barely 15 minutes' walk, if I have to come back to Rome I would definitely come back here! :)

Our stay at Meta Roma’s apartment was fantastic! The location absolutely cannot be beat! You are less than a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and tons of restaurants and cafés. There’s actually a really nice café/bar on the ground floor to the left when you walk out of the apartment building that has delicious croissants, fresh juice, espresso, beer, and wine. The apartment was also very clean and has a very nice small terrace for sitting outside, sipping your espresso and watching the people go by. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Rome!

The place was as advertised. It was clean and close to the Colosseum. I would stay there again.

Francesca was a wonderful host! The place had everything we needed and was a nice oasis away from the business of the city center.

Silvia and Luigi were so welcoming and showed us how to access the apartment and gave us a little tour. The shower tub is a little small which wasn’t an issue for us (but good to know if that’s important when booking). The apartment is truly right next to the colosseum and very walkable area overall. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

For our family of 5 it was perfect. Being able to walk to grocery, eating and Colosseum was the best. Air Conditioning was nice to have in the heat of June as well.
