Farmstay holiday rentals in Bucine

We were six adults, two children (3-year-olds) and one infant staying at the house for a week. It’s located in a secluded spot with a large garden and beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape. We used all of the five bedrooms upstairs and they were dark and cool. The kitchen and living room downstairs also stayed cool. Right outside the kitchen there’s a really nice spot that’s in the shade for the most part of the day, where we had most of our meals. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a dip in the pool. However, you definitely need a car to get around. The gardener came around several times a day to maintain the pool etc. We appreciated this, but might be good to know if you’re looking for complete privacy. We also had some issues with the bathrooms; one toilet and a shower didn’t work properly but were fixed within a day and this didn’t affect our experience. The washing machine didn’t work despite repeated attempts by the host to fix it. The barbecue is in the trash room.

Beautiful location. Great stay. Absolutely recommended. The hosts are really nice, friendly and helpful. Nice surroundings to go for a little walk.

We had a great time at the place! The whole area is perfect for relaxing and discovering! You are not far from the well-known cities but can also spend the time in nature. On the site itself there are some hiking trails where you can also visit some animals. Otherwise, the pool was also great for relaxing. There is a great book with all the tips for the area including restaurants and excursions as well as the best bakery not far from the accommodation! Even with problems we were helped directly and we had a whole team to help when our car did not start, thanks again for that!

Thank you Nella - and Sebastian 😏 We couldnt have dreamed of better place to stay. There was everything we needed for young and old. Lovely historical city within walking distance and plenty of outside space for the small ones to go on adventure. The communication was smooth, friendly and professional. We will come back for sure😊

May 2025 - The Orcia Valley is beautiful and Flavia's house is quite representative of the photos; I would even say it's more beautiful on site! The accommodation is well located in relation to the activities we wanted to do. Great interaction with the very kind Flavia (communication and suggestions of things to do in the area). Recommended for sure!

The only thing I could say negative is the lack of lighting for the kitchen and dining room. For the rest everything is perfect if you like the countryside decor:-)

Our stay at Il Casellino was definitely wonderful. The communication with Lara was very smooth. Our hosts, Remus and Maria, are absolutely outstanding. They do everything to make your holiday perfect. The place is very quiet and the views are breathtaking. It can be pretty hot in Toscany and therefore the big swimmingpool gives the necessary coolness. in short: a perfect place to relax!

The home is highly photo compliant. Very pleasant and green place. Perfect for visiting Florence and its surroundings. The hosts are very welcoming and warm despite the language barrier. I would highly recommend it .

This is one of those rare places that’s even more beautiful in person than in photos. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home, thanks to the warm and welcoming hosts. The landscape is stunning, with breathtaking views, especially at sunrise. Thank you Ian for the nice time. We definitely would love to come back.

La Bulletta has remained in our hearts! The place is enchanting, you are immersed in nature and the location is always well ventilated in the afternoon and night. The pool is an added value,after all our laps a nice bathroom to regenerate was appreciated by everyone. Daniele, with her sister Emanuela and little Lucia, dad and mom are really wonderful, they gave us tips about the surroundings and more. We will definitely be back!!!

We absolutely adored our stay at La Foresteria. Beautiful location, gorgeous property so relaxing and idyllic. We had so many wonderful walks around the property, visited many beautiful places close by and enjoyed plenty of relaxation by the pool and gardens. Stunning meals in the restaurant and the wine tasting was superb. Marian, Luca and Monika were incredible, so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough. Many thanks to all the team, you made our holiday so special and we’d definitely love to return sometime.

I stayed at this Airbnb on a farm, and overall it was a great experience. The interior was nicely decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and check-in was smooth. I had rented a vintage Fiat 500 from another company, and when I brought it back, the host kindly pointed out a few issues—like a small oil leak—and gave me helpful driving tips, which I really appreciated. The location is quite remote, with no restaurants within a 15-minute drive, but the scenery is beautiful. The farm itself has stunning views over wide stretches of Tuscan countryside, which was a real highlight. Driving around also let me explore hidden spots most tourists wouldn’t see. The only downside is that the room doesn’t have a view; you need to step outside into the yard to enjoy it. Other than that, my stay was lovely, and I’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful countryside escape.

What can you say about Giovanni and Il Colle that hasn’t already been said? You arrive, he greets you. He shows you the property, he shows you the products that come from his labors. He offers you the opportunity to enjoy them and he explains where they come from and how they compliment a lifestyle that is truly unique. He takes you to your room and shows you all of the features of the place. He is ever present and will be there for help, guidance on restaurants, directions, or general conversation. This place is in his blood and it is clearly evident. 5 stars isn’t enough. Use Il Colle as your hub and explore Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and the surrounding areas, but come back home to this place for solitude and an escape from the crowds. Do not book less for than 3 nights. I did (1 night - ugh). We are now in our next place, and we are even more bummed we’re not there. Giovanni is one of a kind. You will not regret it. Grazie Mille!

Wow! this place was an absolute dream. I only wish I could've stayed longer. The pictures are accurate, but it's nothing like being there in person, hearing the birds chirping, smelling the flowers, and feeling the sun being down on you. This place was a sanctuary for me to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. I enjoyed the decoarations and the flow of the farmhouse. I was able to reflect on life in peace. Bryan and his wife and their dog Muse were amazing. Bryan and his wife were very welcoming, friendly and gave recommendation for the local market. I will definately be booking tis Airbnb in the future, but for longer the next time. Grazie mille!

The view here leaves you absolutely breathless. I can’t emphasize this enough. If you are coming to Tuscany to soak in the vistas, colors and textures book this Airbnb!!! I guarantee it alone is worth booking for! The interior is really nice and cozy too. The garden is perfect. And on top of all that the service was 5 star - very attentive and helpful. We will be back if life provides the opportunity.

Magical stay at Paola's. Hard to describe in a few words all the kindness she showed us, we immediately felt at home. Paola picked us up by car at the train station and welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine and pizza - delicious - hard to have a better arrival especially after a long journey. She was very proactive throughout our stay and even took us half a day to Chianti so we could visit a vineyard because we didn't have a car - we still can't believe her generosity! She is very attentive to all her guests and her property is beautiful, we enjoyed the pool and the apartment is wonderfully well decorated and equipped. We highly recommend staying at Paola's, the best Airbnb host we've ever had. Thanks again for everything Paola, you've been wonderful, and we're already dreaming of coming back! Arrivederci! :)

I stayed for 3 nights in this great place! Apartment clean and as described! Great location for those who want to visit Siena and its surroundings such as Pienza, Val d 'Orcia, etc. Absolutely recommend

We LOVED outrstay here. First of all, Lorenzo was a fantastic host, communicative, available for every need, lovely to talk to. The property is incredible - a beautiful peaceful space to walk around, and some adorable cats to pet. Our favorite things about this space include: the gorgeous outdoor picnic setting for our meals, spotless kitchen with anything you need to cook, complete blackout and silence at night for a restful sleep and privacy. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to explore Tuscany, as this is a great place to stay and a reasonable drive from main Tuscan sites.

An incredible home, beautifully designed and restored. Rob and Illonka were both friendly, fun, and very caring for us. They came to help us when we had car trouble and always gave us fantastic recommendations for everything from parking lots to wonderful restaurants. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. There are plenty of towns and cities close by to visit, our favorites being Assisi, Gubbio, and Perugia. A car is a must, and this home has cylindrical stairs, so not good for anyone wobbly on their feet.

Super happy night, the whole family was satisfied ~ I slept well!I was impressed with the breakfast in the view of the door after getting up in the morning ~ All in all highly recommended!
