The house was amazing! It was bright and open but with plenty of seating for a group of five/six people and the chairs and couch were very comfortable. So many thoughtful touches. For example, a basket of blankets by the couch, QR code to scan for instructions for the accordian doors, and towels near the front door for the hot tub, are just a few. We all had a blast playing foosball! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the view. From the deck we saw several deer, birds, and one fox. The owners' recommendation to hike around Lake Laura was a good one. Everyone in our group enjoyed the hike. We also enjoyed dinner at Bryce Resort, which you need a reservation for, but don't have to dress up, business casual was good. The Burn Barrel restaurant was close and had a good breakfast. Thank you for sharing your house! We have many wonderful memories!

My friends and I had such a wonderful time at The Shack for my birthday! The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and we loved being able to cookout on the grill. We spent a lot of our time out by the bonfire and in the hot tub and also ventured out to enjoy the sunset at Muse vineyards. We would definitely book again here!!

We stayed for 5 nights as a getaway from DC - 3 adults, 1 infant, and a dog. Fantastic views (the full moon is gorgeous from here and the valley and forest below is lush), great house, well placed to explore the surrounding area (caverns, hiking, wineries, etc). They had a pack n play which we put our own bassinet on for the baby. Highly recommend!

Anastasia was the best host ever. I have to say that the house exceeded our expectations. Iy was our first time in the area, she gave us places to visit in the area. The house was clean and had everything you can think from spices to the best first aid kit I have ever seen. I would recomend this host to anyone who is looking for a comfortable environment and a place that feels warm and cozy. I will surly stay here again. You got me hooked!

Our stay at Ted and Lisa’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect setting for our newborn’s very first adventure. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The home was extraordinarily clean and full of special touches that made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. We’ve stayed at over 100 Airbnbs combined, and without a doubt, Ted and Lisa have been the best hosts we’ve ever had. Their warmth, attention to detail, and hospitality set a new standard. We enjoyed afternoons by the serene creekside, took in the stunning views during nearby hikes, and loved the convenience of the local resort and golf course—both fantastic and worth checking out. This was more than just a trip; it was a special experience we’ll always cherish. Thank you, Ted and Lisa, for making it so wonderful. We can’t wait to come back!

This house exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully arranged. The home was so well-equipped, it felt like all we had to do was show up and relax. There were clean sheets and towels (including beach towels for the lake), plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in every bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, a great selection of tea and coffee, and everything else we needed. The house is spacious and comfortable, with lots of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The basement was a huge hit with both kids and adults—loaded with board games, air hockey, etc. There’s also a full laundry room and lots of outdoor space, including a screened-in porch that let us enjoy the fresh air without worrying about mosquitoes.The location is great, close to the resort, lake (with private beach, kayaks rentals, etc), restaurants, bars, and a farmer’s market.

A perfect getaway! Felt like home and was peaceful and relaxing. Had everything needed for a wonderful weekend. The sauna and jacuzzi tub were very enjoyable! All around more than we could have expected. Comfortable beds. Beautiful set up and decor. Pleasant deck seating and grill! And great communication. Thank you so much, would love to return again.
